Was honestly scared he could get another yellow for the celebration in the stands.

On penalties and I doubt ACON matters that much. Salah has 28+11 in all competitions for Pool, Mane 18+2. Don't know if it has been updated to include today.
-
I don't think there's any way he's ahead of Salah.
-
Robert's brace against Spurs has to be the best combo ever scored in the same match.
-
Aye, I thought Chelsea would be closer to Man City and Liverpool but they are not really. Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs are so far from them that big six is disrespectful to City and Pool.
-
And then we keep him to be possibly fifth-choice next season? I could understand it if he was young but Gayle is done here and only question is if Wood will be third or fourth choice CF next season.
-
Absolutely and it's understandable when the referee has to make some decision even if he didn't see it properly.
-
I'm probably the biggest VAR fan here but even I think that the process is fundamentally flawed right now and who ever came up with the PL system should be sacked on the spot. For example referee isn't sure whether he should give a penalty or not but has to make some decision in anycase. Then VAR uses two to three minutes to come up with a decision before the referee makes the symbolical jog to the screen and stays with whatever VAR had decided. Why can't the referee just raise his hand and admit that he's not sure and has to see it again. Ref runs to the screen, watches few replays and makes a decision. Would be so simple and faster than the current process and also gets rid of the weird respect VAR has for on-field referee's decision and the similarly weird respect on-field referee has for whatever VAR comes up with. VAR could still intervene with anything that the ref had clearly missed despite thinking he got it right.

I've had this conversation hundred times but it's not VAR's fault, it's the officials that also make wank decisions on the pitch. If they can't get them right after replays, how could they ever get them right without any help?
-
What could we possibly gain from that experiment and why would you love to see it?
-
You only saw it in the ground once from miles away but happy to be here having a go at VAR? Today was another proof that VAR is absolutely needed, Bruno's first goal would never have stood without some video help.
-
Haven't seen a yellow for diving in ages, nice.
-
He deserves to start but somehow we have some competition for CM places now. Ridiculous when so many had written off Joelinton, Shelvey and even Willock just six months ago.
-
I had no idea before the transfer that he was this decent with the ball too. No-brainer to make it permanent, he'll be able to contribute for years even if we do go fighting for European places in near future.
-
Great goal. Targett did well, amazing run by Willock and love the energy from Bruno to make that run.
-
Nah, same formation. ASM up top, Joelinton as left forward.
-
It's not a system change.
-
Why would anyone boo Ayoze? Glad there were people giving him a standing ovation too.
-
Wish I was as dumb as you, life would be so easy.
-
Why was today different to any other night?
-
Praise Pardew for the 5th and Bruce kept us up comfortably and deservedly for a couple of seasons, right?
-
Fucking pointless. You win

City were massive favourites to qualify but Atletico were in it until the last kick and had more xG in this leg.
-
Well, that's just how Simeone's Atletico have always been.
-
Nah, they have absolutely no chance if they try to outscore City over two legs. Atletico are good but City are just on another level. Simeone got his tactics 100% right
