Lovren should just fuck off back to Argentina.

Slim, Santoon () and LFEE, legends!

We lose our momentum every single time Anita gets taken off. He's not a flashy forward so doesn't get recognized as a "match-winner", but he's every bit a match winner when on the pitch due to his exceptional technical ability and reading of the game. The guy just "knows" football. We don't have too many of them in our squad let alone our first team. Where was he in the first half then?

Benny has had halves like this too. Hope Cabella can bounce back (if not hauled off).

Samaras is IMO underrated now. Haven't seen him in Scotland but based on the Greece games he's a big guy with a good technique and he's not really a bad signing for WBA on free.

Without sounding all NUFC, over 4 years I bet Liverpool pay Balotelli £20-25m more than the other two get. He'll be on about £100k a week more at least. That's before sign-on fees etc. Great signing for Liverpool imo by the way but that's a simplistic way of putting things. I know but it's still amazing price. They were running out of options and getting a top class striker at this point of summer for £16m is great business. I was just responding to hakka's post that they should've looked elsewhere when there really aren't many options left when the season has already started/starting soon.

None of the top tier strikers were interested. I know I would rather take a punt on Balotelli for that price than Shane Long or Ross McCormack.

I just feel totally numb about club football in general. The World Cup was brilliant but now it's back to the money talks football. Hard to get excited when an outstanding season means we'll finish 5th-7th. Just looking at what happened to Southampton makes me sick (they weren't blame free either to be honest). Good season playing nice football and they just get scavenged by the 'big' clubs. Hard to believe it was little over ten years ago that SBR signed Bellamy and Robert and we were at the top of the table in December and would've had a real go at the title without the injuries. It's just not gonna happen anymore. Getting Pardew sacked would obviously be brilliant but the excitement just isn't there when 4th or 5th place is the best we can hope for even after he is gone. Praying that things would change but it's just not going to happen. Fucking ridiculous that we don't even take the one possible bright spot seriously. Would fucking love a good cup run.

Have to say I thought he looked terrible in the World Cup. The amount of times he stupidly gave the ball away was embarrassing. He had one good season and the odd good game but he's generally been found out and he's in a position that can easily be replaced. I'd sell for anything more than 5 million! Why 5 million? Might as well be 50k. Brilliant timing to sell one of our most important players. There has to be a replacement lined up and ready to sign a deal if this goes through.

I seriously doubt that.

Sorry but an unproven young player from the Championship and a player who hasn't played regular football in a long time sounds decent to you? You're right, let's stick with the watertight defence of Willo and Taylor. Or possibly buy a real CB and not an always injured RB from Manchester City?

IMO Vermaelen is overly aggressive.

Dat touch by Drogba.

It's based on watching both for a lengthy period of time. With a crack pipe.
-
The important thing is that it is repeated ad finitum so ensure the conversation goes round and round in the same circle for others. Pip is trying his best.
-
That's not the point though. No one is saying we don't have a s**** defence. Saying Colo was at faulth for both goals is just simply stupid and wrong.

...is what I'd go with, but not what it'll be. Gonna be flamed for saying this, but Haidara + Aarons on the left side is just asking for trouble, particularly with a player like Weimann running down that flank. If you play Haidara, you need someone who can cover when he does get forward. A lot to ask of Aarons in his second professional appearance. Think he's still best coming on late and providing some pace on the outside. Hello Alan.

I'm quite confused why you have written off Haidara based on the little we've seen of him. I haven't. I've said in time with games on loan somewhere Haidara could be a good player. Fair enough.
