  1. Someone on here described Wood's goal as the type of goal we've been missing for a while. Well, erm.... Great goal (by Bruno), had Zlatan scored that, we wouldn't hear the end of it. (mainly from Zlatan himself!).
  2. Another overrated manager: Pochettino.
  3. Not bothered, well do better than him in the summer. Good luck to him.
  4. Plenty on here, let's just say, 'downplay' his managerial ability. (maybe because he upset HBA's fanboys). The point is, the rave Emery gets on here is far less than Bielsa, even though Emery has proved himself to be a better manager.
  5. Kicked on from last season and not free fall? He has a history of relatively short stints having not achieved anything remarkable apart from entertaining football and innovative coaching style. Again, compare him to a 'shit' manager like Unai Emery....? No contest in terms of achievements.
  6. What's your point? I'm not saying he has awful record - I'm just saying he's not as good as you and other people make him out to be. You clearly don't know much about his career.
  7. He's influential due to his coaching methods and style - not managerial record!
  8. Yeah... no point. He didn't work with same players and probably had different resources than previous managers. Plus his unique style obviously make it harder to compare him with other managers. Again, so what if he had a decent season last season? Yes he deserves credit for it, but he is still an overrated manager in terms that the hype around him is not materialising to anything memorable. His honours list comes no where near to someone like Unai Emery's achievements, for example. Why? Hype and halo effect. He's probably better off just being a coach rather than a manager.
  9. He got them up eventually. His first season ended in a disappointment considering how well they started. I'm sure had this happened to Rafa, we would have been annoyed at him. What's the point in comparing him to previous Leeds managers anyway? It's about the players he has/had for selection and how he manages them. He achieved promotion at the second attempt, yes. Last season he also did well, but so what? Again, it wasn't necessarily unexpected. He had decent players. Also everyone knows promoted teams can overachieve until the second season syndrome comes about. If you look back on his managerial career, you will surely notice themes of huge promise but not many significant achievements - apart from great football and dissemination of great philosophy. But people talk about him almost like he's one of the elites. He's a good manager but is overrated and this largely down to the 'halo effect', frankly. BTW, Nigel Pearson knew and influenced Vardy towards England selection - so what?
  10. Yes, he got them up (eventually), but so what? Hughton's done that too. Hughton is rated justly but Bielsa is a bit overrated. But anyway, this is not about Leeds solely; Bielsa's career is defined by' half-done' jobs.
  11. Like a said before, an overrated manager. Shame he's left.
  12. Where's that Dislike button...
  13. This forum is going down hill at a much quicker rate than before. Some horrendous posts about, these days.
  14. Ashley was a bit like that at the start!
  15. People stopped pissing their pants about him yet?
  16. Our players wouldn't want Rafa back as they'll end up crying every day. Can't believe this is being brought up, btw. Just get over it.
  17. I read it quickly and I thought this post was about putting him in a suitcase. If you know what I mean by 'him'...
  18. Will be a useful signing. Will offer us something different. 20m is a decent fee.
  19. Ings is quality - definitely would be a good signing to beat off the drop and is good enough for a team transitioning from lower table to mid-table for the next 2-3 years.
  20. What about Liam Delap? (Son of Rory)
