I thought Rangnick had managed in the PL before for WBA for a short stint. I checked the WBA record, to see who it was that manged them, but couldn't see a name of a German coach. I must have dreamed it all. But I'm sure there was a German coach who was in the PL circa 2005-2012 for a club like WBA, and I thought it was Rangnick.

Yes and no. He did well at Watford and were on the way to stay up. And let's face it, the PL title winning team was his team! He even told Vardy, when he was a lower league player, that he has the ability to play for England one day. Clearly knew what he was doing with that team. So what if he's a bit weird? I'd say fans and club executives probably underestimate him, or wary of him, because of the way he goes about his business.(which is yes, Pearson's fault). He's not my first choice, but if we fail to get any of the names that are thrown about in the media, he wouldn't be a bad short-term choice.
