Just looking at the table, I didn't realise West Ham had dropped so far, only five points above us?

I get the feeling Carver is playing the "not a game for kids" card so that when we get tonked he can say how good he is, knowing which games to bring them in and which ones they need protected for. He knows he cant win the job by results so he's trying to tick the right boxes. -
Is Haidara still out? I appreciate its the done thing to just forget the game but what back four would you go for out of what we have? I really don't want to pick Ryan Taylor but its tricky. Krul Anita Janmaat Williamson Haidara?
-
Are they all long term injuries? I'm fairly sure Ferguson still plays for N Ireland and i have no idea what the story is with Bigi

That's only because you were sitting back protecting the lead - if you had gone at us the score could have been really embarrassing. Let's take a moment to reflect on the side that was representing Newcastle United at the end of the game yesterday: Raylor - Janmaat - Williamson - Colback Sissoko - Jonas - Gouffran - Cabella Perez How shit is that man, this really is a new low. I would have to argue that the starting 11 was worse, and would lose, to that 10 -
Haidara still out, Cabella and Elliot back in the squad

Sherwood cant get much credit for Villa's turnaround yet. The players have been released from the shackles Lambert had on them. Now that he has been there a couple of weeks in training etc, if the results are maintained he can start to take a bit of credit.

Not quite as bad as the newspaper one where they airbrushed Chris Ramsey out of it
-
Not seen much of Rudy Gestede at Blackburn but listening to Chris Sutton here he sounds the exact type of player we need to compliment the likes of Perez and De Jong
-
Someone must have a screenshot of him, whoever he was he terrified me

I still can't get my head around what they can and can't punish for. The ref obviously saw this incident but seems to be claiming he didn't see them spitting. What about the Hutton challenge in the Villa/WBA game? The ref saw that and dealt with it as he saw it, but he obviously didn't see the actual kick out or he would have sent him off, yet they can't act on that?

All Everton need is one more win, I wonder who they play next!! Lose to us and he could well face the sack, and deservedly so.

I fear there is a reason Ashley has said he is here till summer of 2016 minimum, that being that he is happy to stay for one season in the championship as long as we come back up, he would get the huge parachute payments after all. I think us being a yo-yo club would suit him nicely, selling a big star every now and then.
-
The biggest plus of getting rid of Pardew was meant to be no more wanting us to get beat, yet here I am petrified about the possibility of us getting a win tonight

Still no match thread? Apathy rules

How does Gil not get a start, he has looked by far their best player since joining.

Rémi Garde and the case of the missing art galleries
Belfast Boy replied to Nobody's topic in Football
For garde to be in some sort of confidentiality agreement has to be a positive sign. If he knows he's definitely not getting / wanting the job then he has nothing to gain by keeping quiet. There is no way Ashley would pay him anything to keep quiet if he's not offering him a job. -
Such a shame for Tottenham that they have nothing left in their legs after playing Thursday night. Otherwise they could now push for an equaliser.

That was an annoyingly good goal
