What an odd thing to say. "That much better"? I'd have said Smith was a considerable distance worse.
-
Ameobi's the one who should be getting a game imo, until Martins is back at least.
-
Laid the ball beautifully off for Rooney to be fair. Pick your spot, son.
-
I can think of about half a dozen who we should do everything possible not to play, even if it means robbing some of Newcastle-upon-Tyne's primary schools of their best players.

Fantastic player and a lethal striker. He had a shot today, you know. I make that three for the season. Well worth £6,000,000.
-
He's not a left back the same way Ronaldo's not a right back. Man Utd, oddly enough, have never seen fit to play him there either. Funny that. It's even worse when he's being kept there (and a real left back being kept out) to accomodate a waste of oxygen like Damien Duff.
-
He's not the only one by a long chalk, but the lad's a fucking liability. If Spurs or Liverpool are genuinely interested, snatch their hand off.
-
Love how Woodgate's played five games and suddenly he's the indestructible bionic man.
-
I'd win. I'm from Scotchy. aye, you'd run him over in his own car.

is there good AIDS ? It's a Brass Eye reference. Good AIDS = HIV, Bad AIDS = the full-blown virus. Wasn't it Good AIDS = from birth/via blood transfusion, Bad AIDS = drug use/lots of furious bumming?

Didnt mean it in an offensive way and i was one of the ones who adamantly defended the Keegan appointment on the spurs board (i also praised the appointment on here too). I agree that the spurs team is a bit of a soft touch and have said that too but get over yourself ffs. Keegan seems a nice guy and not really a diciplinarian so that where i base my judgement on, now go grab a tissue and let the tears flow he is when needed (i remember him being tough with lee clarke, andy cole and barry venison) but he has a way with people that means he doesn't often need it. Don't forget when he pulled Beresford off after about twenty minutes for talking back to him. clean forgot about that till you brought it up.i still remember the look of shock on beresfords face. (cue a few jokes about pulling beresford off ) I want to say it was against Villa, is that right?

Where does the name come from? There was a helicopter with the league trophy hovering above wherever Celtic were playing and it had to turn round and head for Rangers when McDonald scored.

Bolton? Ja.

I'm finding there's more and more people growing up who like football, will talk to you about it, always make an effort to see games on tv, love Pro Evo etc - but don't actually really support anyone. I don't see the point. Is it just me that's noticed this?
-
A few months ago, the Carlisle chairman said something along the lines of "everyone from Carlisle supports Carlisle". None of the Cumbrians I know do, to a man they support the cockney mancs. When I see people or worse, kids, walking down Northumberland Street in a Liverpool, Chelsea or Man Utd shirt, I just want to go up to them and ask them what the fuck they're doing.

Edgar unhappy with lack of first-team action - agent
Wullie replied to ChrisJbarnes's topic in Football
I'd take Wheater, Cattermole, Downing, Andrew Taylor for nowt, no problem at all. Taylor would be great for squad rotation at left back, we'd be delighted to have someone of his quality come through the ranks. Wheater's doing well, rash and dirty but thats Boro's policy Cattermole is a canny combative midfielder, better than Geremi, Butt or any other holding type we've got. Downing needs no explanation. Adam Johnson is another one who's coming good, and there's so much hype around Porritt, although i've never seen him play. The lads who's just fuked off to Celtic was supposed to be another hot prospect, Ben Hutchinson. Like i said, we'd be lucky to have such a crop. They've got the lad Grounds playing at LB at the moment too and from what I've seen, he looks alright. Matthew Bates has never disgraced himself either but he's had two very serious injuries which have kept him out and reduced him to getting his knob out and taking photos of it in his spare time. Just because none of the players are the quality of Gerrard or Shearer doesn't mean anything, players like that come along once in a blue moon. Boro don't have any qualms about sticking their young 'uns in while we'll do anything to keep them out most of the time i.e. playing Stephen Carr. Whether that's testament to them just being shit or a sign of not being willing to take a chance, either way doesn't exactly reflect very well on us. I know one thing, if Edgar had performed for them like he did for us against Man Utd and West Ham, there is not a cat in hell's chance he'd still be waiting for his opportunity to even get on the field. The sign of a good academy isn't just producing Robbie Fowler and Wayne Rooney once in a generation, it's to consistently produce players who can go in at Premiership level and not look like a fish out of water. In the last ten years we've had Taylor, Ameobi...erm... that's about our lot and they're both crap! Boro have had about ten in the last two or three years - some have made it, some have not and have dropped down to lower leagues eventually but at least they know and most of them did a good job at one time or another for them. It's not on. -
A shitter team than us has already beaten Man Utd at home this season. They're fantastic but that doesn't mean we can't beat them.
-
Something odd about the way the jocks do against players whose wives have more ability than the likes of Lee Naylor and Gary Caldwell. Bastards. Yes I'm bitter.
-
Get in Messi, howay Barca. Sevilla are getting beat though.
-
Football's changed Keefaz, this is the pinnacle of the game, the greatest players under the greatest tacticians. Appreciate it for what it is ffs. Think I'll stick a DVD on.

Is there a more honest footballer than Jamie Carragher? Christ, pass me a bucket. I wouldn't care if he wasn't a whinging twat who does most of his defending with his arms. Bet he makes more saves than Reina over a season.
-
Looking forward to the onslaught from the media towards the Liverpool fans.
-
I'm going to send the twat a fucking bill.
