sshh...don't let the facts get in the way of a good slagging. Give your head a shake man for God's sake. Sorry but I don't see the point in complaining about Owen when he's scored two goals even though our attacking play was blunt at best. I'm not just talking about today. In the Premiership, your centre forward has to be able to do more than just score the odd header from a set piece. With the ball at his feet these days, Owen is totally impotent. He just won't put chances anymore. It's a matter of accepting that rather than categorising it as "a good slagging."

We did take our chances. Duff and Owen both scored. You shouldn't have to score three goals at home just to have a chance of one of them standing ffs. We're going to have to get used to this lads. It was exactly the same against Bolton and referees are now coming with an attitude of "I want my name in the paper, let's spoil the party". We will be playing against 12 men every time at home from now until the end of the season, because these cowards aren't interested in officiating a football match, they just want something to pin up on the fridge on Monday morning. Cattermole and Wheater should both have walked first half and Huth shouldn't have even been on the pitch after he tried to gut Michael Boulding last week, typical that he score like Emmanuel "Glasgow kiss" Adebayor did. Unbelievable. Referee's are due a bad game now and then but the think we're being targeted is unreal. Get a grip, we're simply not good enough is the simple reason why we drew. Christ. We're not good enough even though we scored more goals than them? How does that work? It was 1-1. Not by the laws of the game it wasn't.

I've said it before, Owen is finished as this class finisher. Seems to miss at least one nailed on sitter every single game.

I think Butt can take a lot of the blame today. Last twenty minutes, the rest of the players were trying to keep the ball and be sensible with it, as soon as he gets it, he just gives it away without a second thought and lets Boro pile more pressure on. Despite the way we defended, the goal was coming because of all their pressure and it nearly always started with Butt. Faye for Butt and Beye for Carr, we'd have walked it today. We did anyway like, but I'll try not to go on about the cock in the green.

I thought we played alright today. Not much you can do when the ref is determined to give everything, including goals, their way while they kick the shit out of our players. Wheater could have kicked Alan Smith in the face, he'd have given the free kick the other way for Smith biting his foot.

I liked Rod "the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young 'un!" Liddle's assertion that Boro have the best crop of youngsters in the league. Aye, Downing, Taylor, Wheater and Cattermole are definitely better than Fabregas, Diaby, Denilson and Clichy.

That's one of the worst yet. Christ, will it ever stop?

That article's a couple of weeks old like. Brian Reade usually talks sense about us.

Carragher. Every week! The bloke makes more saves than Reina.

Furious bumming of someone who couldn't get a game for Spurs on MOTD.

We can all wax lyrical about top European managers, but who really was there on offer? I'm happy and hopeful that he can dig us out of the current mess and then when summer arrives, the job really begins.

I think it'll be tougher than some people seem to think, Boro are not a bad side. They won't defend though, like Bolton did, they don't play that way, especially with Rochemback and Arca in the middle, so I think there'll be chances for us there. I do actually think we'll beat them, but I'm nervous because we are in a bit of trouble if we don't. I really hope Enrique plays (Viduka too) and one of Milner or Duff is dropped. Do that and I think we'll be comfortable.

He's a "doubt" but I'll be surprised if he doesn't play tbh.

Aliadiere will play. Can't finish but he is very quick.

Boro are advertising their game with Fulham as Alves' debut on their website. I'd be stunned if he plays. Tuncay definitely out, which is a good thing.
-
Probably be Aliadiere and Tuncay if they're both fit. Hopefully they won't be. Both limped off midweek, both doubtful for sunday I know. Downing too. If those three and Alves are all out, we'll roll them over. Here's hoping.

The commonly held consensus on Teesside is that Woodgate has had a very public falling out with one of his teammates following a sour end to a relationship with said teammate's sister, resulting in him losing focus and wanting a fresh start, which we couldn't offer him, still too close to home. How true that is I don't know.

Lights to make the grass grow. And credit to whoever came up with the idea. We've gone from having a pitch needing pulled up and replaced three times a season to a near perfect surface all the way through.
-
who do boro play in central midfield? rochemback and arca isnt it? hardly the most physical pair and neither spend a lot of time going on surging runs upfield. i think we can do without a defensive midfielder for this one so i agree. boateng, cattermole not been playing ? No, Cattermole is shite and Boateng out of favour with Arca the new captain. It will be him and Rochemback, with O'Neil and Downing (if fit) wide.

We should play Barton and Emre on Sunday imo. Let's murder the twats.
