  1. If anyone, most likely to be Wes Brown I reckon... although they were already in Bolton, so they've probably gone purely to watch the match.
  2. Always fancied going to Barca or Milan for an away game - preferably the semi-final of the champions league The club paid for us to have a free day in Barcelona when our Champions' League tie was postponed for rain until the next day. It was fucking mint.
  3. From an away perspective, one good thing about Newcastle is that, although a few probably do, I'm not sure, the majority of pubs couldn't care less if you're an away fan or not. Obviously, for certain fixtures they will enforce a door policy but for your average away fan from further south than Middlesbrough, you can go in just about any pub in the town, even with a shirt on. When I went to Spurs a couple of year ago, it's in a busy part of London with loads of pubs around... but none of them will fucking let you in.

Nowt special. From range but the keeper should have parried it away easily, instead it went straight through his hands.

Get in! Glen Johnson still absolutely abysmal I see.

    Brilliant pass from Pizarro.

Roof of the net, I thought he'd missed it at first. Game on here.
  8. Did you know she had a long running affair with Bryan Robson and it only finished when Robson's wife walked in on them and started beating Tomlinson (who had a broken foot or something) with her own crutch?
  9. Refreshing honesty. Two new signings in the next few days would be brilliant. Even just a quality right back and we'll have the potential to be fucking immense.

Think we're more happy at winning away from home. It's rare enough as it is, never mind first day, at the Reebok and very comfortably.
  11. One of the Boro sites says that today was a complete catastrophe with the season ticket cards and they ended up having to change to manual because of the queues, many fans missing kick off. Get there early for the Villa game I'd say.

I like Derbyshire, very very tidy finisher.
  13. As montana says, I'd back Anelka against any keeper in that situation. It's a sitter.

If it were a choice between signing the contract and not playing football at all, I'd sign the fucker then do a Winston Bogarde. I'd happily coin in £20,000 a week off them to act the arsehole for 5 years. Score the odd OG and miss a few sitters when forced to play. Champion.

Jon, you seem to be saying: play for sunderland and earn a fortune OR don't and earn nowt. If you've got the talent to play for a Premiership football team, then you can afford to knock those twats back.

I wouldn't play for them cunts like.
  18. Yep. If your first sub didn't play then it takes your second etc. Sound. Hasn't given me any points for Richards yet, assume it'll do it after all the games.
  19. Every keeper in the world would have come for that. It's called narrowing the angle - Goalkeeping 101.
  20. We don't have to think very far back to remember a player who had a fantastic grafting debut, indeed first season, before being found out as limited. Smith did ok, but let's not judge on one game either way.
  21. Does it just use your subs automatically or what? I've got Jagielka in my team but he didn't play, first sub is Micah Richards though.
  22. Rozehnal was occasionally shaky tbh. ? i thought he was one of our best players. So do I, he was still a bit shaky though once or twice. Don't hold it against him in the slightest though, 1st game etc etc. For "shaky" read: "inexperienced". He's liable to make a few mistakes because of this. Only real qualm I had with Rozehnal was when Davies got past him on our left hand touchline in the second half and left us short of numbers when Roz really should have cleaned him out. He'll learn, he was pretty impeccable other than that.
