His agent's come out and said it doesn't sound like him and he doesn't think it is. Hope it is though. Legends are having a reet moan and laugh about it obviously, backing the club up and giving it the "Boro have made him a millionaire" bollocks, doesn't surprise me. Hopefully the less insular and more open-minded Boro fans will realise what Maccarone's tried to do for them.

That bit above has missed some out, here's a gem:
-
We nearly wet ourselves watching the Wigan-Reading highlights. The bloke's a clown.
-
Kudos to Barton but Kevin Nolan must be pretty pissed off by now.
-
Good point. James has every right to feel aggrieved, especially since Chris Kirkland's performances this season have had our household in stitches.
-
How does ONE loan signing (ex West Brom?) mean we'll be sorted in 3 years time?? "Nigel Pearson watched him a few times when he was at West Brom last year" He means when Pearson was at West Brom, man, not Onyewu.
-
Far from convinced about this "he's improved the defence" line. Our defending on set pieces has to be seen to be believed. The way to beat Newcastle is to force as many corners as possible, because when the ball comes in, it's pandemonium.

Didn't realise till now that this all came out in a 4-page letter to the Times, here in full: Quite a few things applying to NUFC too I feel, notably the bits in bold.
-
When Dyer does it though, we seem to end up getting fucking murdered rather than just beaten. His comment about "Fortress St James'" before the Birmingham game was on a par with "I want Scholes' England shirt" before that game.
-
Wish he'd shut up. He has a habit of saying stuff that comes back to bite him and us on the arse.

   My best mate's a Boro fan, he will fucking love this. He's gutted Mass has gone and he despised McClaren. He raises some interesting issues too mind, pity more players don't only speak their mind but expand on it too, rather than just saying "he didn't play me, how unfair". Southgate's done exactly the same to Rochemback as well.
-
Won't be till around mid-June mate, you ever been to a game or to Newcastle before? How did you end up supporting this shower?
-
We barely created a chance against Sheff Utd. Fully deserved 3 points for them.

Apart from the fact it's wrestling music, I like the Kurt Angle theme, it's quite an uplifting piece of music. Prefer it to the Boys Are Back.

I'm not sure what it is he's doing tbh - cos I've not seen this interview or read any other articles recently! Do you mean his sort of detached personality? I think with Owen a lot of the time, he doesn't really put his brain into gear before speaking. Owen is a fantastic footballer, but he'll always be percieved as rather characterless and rather detached. It's just how he is, maybe thats why some don't warm to him. Think Phil's on about him "keeping himself for England". Deliberately putting his studs into the turf and twisting his knee so much it tore the insides apart, just so he didn't have to play for Newcastle was a pretty shitty thing to do like. He missed three England games though, so he obviously didn't think it through properly, the thick twat.

Just on here I think. My hatred for them has increased tenfold in the last year or so.

I don't think we're as good as the table suggests (I know that sounds daft since we're most of the way through the season and not exactly high). Tonight was another game where you come away thinking "got out of jail there". Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd, Blackburn, even West Ham and Watford, it's becoming a recurring theme - unlucky with injuries there's no doubt, but on the field, Roeder is a very lucky manager. Having said that, even if it's only till they play their game in hand, it's fucking brilliant being above Europe's Elite aka Tottenham Hotspur. We're having a shocker of a season and we're still above the self-aggrandizing twats.

Great analogy. Bet that's what he did at school like me. Difference is, I used to accept that I was a lazy arse, rather than blaming the teacher for setting a deadline.
-
Fucking hell, what a mong. The amount of shite he talks is astonishing. Fuck the coaching badges, he needs to take "Transfer Windows for Beginners" night class at his local college because this is two out of two he's made himself look incompetent then moaned about it and blamed the window.

Why have Kieron Dyer, what, 27 is he now, and Newcastle United only just realised that up front might be his best position? He's played right back, right wing, central midfield and up front in his career with us, as well as the odd role down the left. He should have identified his best position when he was a bloody teenager and spent his formative years working on finishing and the like. Good player but a waste of greater talent.

That's exactly what happened imo, said it to the wife next to me as soon as the whistle went. Eh? http://www.northeastengland.talktalk.net/GeordieDictionary.htm Look under 'W'. Well yeah, but which woman, you dirty slag? The one who sits next to me! Bloody hell, man!

Bit of a weird game, but a great result. We could have easily gone in at half time with the game finished off, two great goals, Parker rattled the bar with a fantastic drive, Martins had two good headed chances and if our final ball had been a little better at other times, we could have had more. Equally, Villa could have been 5-2 or more up going in! The first half defending was just comedy stuff, and our total inability to defend a simple set-piece week-in, week-out would be funny if it wasn't tragic. I get more nervous when the opposition have a corner than when they have a central free kick 20-25 yards out. Second half, save for Harper saving our arses a minute in, we defended pretty well (well, better than the first half!) and it was nice to get the late goal on the break. Milner was MOTM for me, they put two men on him in the second half which stifled him, but first half he tore them apart down that right hand side. Martins could have done better with the headers he had, but his close control, skill and link up play was above and beyond anyone else on the field - his flick over the top for Sibierski was real top class. Defence were all a mixed bag, all had some nightmare moments but did well second half, particularly Bramble and Carr - see, I do give credit where due - however I won't extend that to Duff who was very poor indeed and even nearly made a hash of his assist. Parker was excellent, but I'm not allowed to say that on here anymore. As for their disallowed goal - yes, it should have stood, but the corner it came from was an even worse decision as it clearly hit the bar, not Taylor - tough shit.

It's horrendous. I know we perhaps have some people on here who maybe think we're bigger than we are, but on there it's the majority who think they are really big fish.
