Amazes me how so many people watch so much football and yet don't know this is the case.

They're absolutely shite. No longer a force even in Norway.

I follow MLS a bit for betting purposes and my biggest hurdle is there's just far too many teams. It's really hard to keep up.

I'm so surprised he's gone to that graveyard league, thought he'd end up in Serie A if he left Palace. I still love him as a player.

I ran past Sayers a few months ago, he was getting out of a car and going into that front business he owns on Fossway alongside two goons who were giving me daggers as I jogged towards them panting and sweating, had visions of Silvio Dante thinking I was there for a hit and bundling me into the boot.

Please tell me Paddy Conroy's involved

£30m, Christ on a bike. Can honestly say I've never noticed him.

Seems like Viaplay are in a bit of trouble, appears they're jumping ship on all the long term deals they've got with Scottish football. I assume the Nations League and La Liga rights are staying with them for now, no mention of them in the press release.

I don't see his lack of end product at all. There was a video knocking around a few months ago of the chances ASM had put on a plate this season that had been missed and it really was ridiculous. He's not clinical enough in front of goal but I think anyone arguing with his chance creation is being so disingenuous. I think he's part of our best XI personally. His injury record is the only big thing that's a problem for me, he is prone and I don't think he's ever been keen on playing when he doesn't think he's 100%, he's not a fan of running an injury off.

Find it very hard to believe a significant portion of the NUFC fanbase would be desperate to see the back of a mercurial French left winger that doesn't work hard enough for them.

They've canned that

McCoist has been part of BT for ages, he does that Scottish discussion show (which they still did even after they lost the rights) with Sutton and the little blonde fella, and always did the Rangers European games.

Maguire's a really good defender in any side that sits quite deep and he's not in danger of getting turned, West Ham under Moyes would suit him.

Wonder how these things come to light, especially so long after the fact.

Think we've found who The Presenter is.

It's pretty devastating what's happened to them actually. When the current owners took over they found a huge hole in the accounts, went investigating and found out the previous owners had been paying players of other clubs to throw games around 2013. They compiled and handed over all the evidence, the previous owners were convicted several years ago and because of that old black mark against the club name, UEFA have thrown them out for this season, first time they've ever qualified I think.

It also makes the job of a human linesman basically impossible. A lino looks along the line now and if the attacker is in front of anyone it's offside. With this change, the crucial sight point isn't the furthest forward on the attacker's body, it's the furthest back, which is much more difficult to see in real time (and also completely the opposite to what you've spent your career training on, so a very difficult transition). The game's governing body probably also needs to try and consider games other than those with a dozen cameras dotted round the ground.

You don't get quite the same amount of bells and whistles (you can't pause, rewind etc) but Sky Sports with NowTV can be much cheaper, especially if you find someone to share it with. I pay the equivalent of about £12 a month, I split the account with my dad and a mate.

I once played in a 5-a-side game about an hour after my wife had received a letter regarding a potential cancer scare (she was fine) and although I'm shite anyway, the term "might as well not have been on the field" would be better applied than just having a bad game, I just basically wandered round in a daze for an hour trying not to cry. It's an obvious fact that we do dehumanise players and expect them to perform all the time at an elite level (and often call into question not just their ability but their effort when they don't), when we actually have no idea if their dad's ill, or their wife's walked out on them, or they've just had the dog put down.
