  1. League position is neither here nor there. Sunderland fans will look back far more fondly on this season than any of the half dozen they spent clinging to life in the Premier League. Newcastle United as it is is completely without purpose, which is far more important than whether we're 11th or 14th. To what end are they actually playing football? It's supposed to represent the city and the people and I fucking hope it doesn't because it's nothing more than a pathetic empty shell, useful only as a billboard for cheap socks.
  2. That’s exactly the point. I, along with thousands others, are happy to get at him in every way we can other than stopping going. Why should we allow one man to stop us doing our hobby. Surely he wins. Maybe not financially, but his agenda wins if he makes it unbearable for us to be there. As long as Rafa is there or there’s something worth supporting I will be there. Happy to boycott a single match, sure, but not give it up. You've said yourself all he cares about is money. How does he win if you stop giving it to him? Your position is that you are thwarting him by giving him £500+ a year unconditionally and indefinitely. This position, to any impartial observer, is completely fucking mental. Btw there isn't anything worth supporting there. Hasn't been for years.
  3. Aye, it is. Attack his business interests apart from this one which we must continue to funnel money into unconditionally.
  4. Another perfect example of why you'll never get the fans onside. You and several other posters on here think yourself to be "better" than them for not going to games. It's fucking weird man. People just have different priorities and different things going on in their lives. For some, NUFC is their main passion / hobby. The sooner people on here stop calling them "sheep" and thinking they're better than them, the better. Just accept their opinion, and look for a way to get at Ashley that most people can get on board with. What, you don't think NUFC is/was the main passion/hobby for those who've walked away because they don't want to fund what's happening to it like you do? You absolute plum.
  5. If you fund it, you endorse it as far as I'm concerned. We're many years past the point where you could attend through gritted teeth but not believe your attendance was legitimately damaging to the club. I don't believe there's any such thing as being anti-Ashley and still giving him money. The two positions are mutually exclusive. Ultimately, people can do what the fuck they want as fortunately I couldn't give a stuff any more.
  6. It would still have hit the post but would almost certainly have gone in rather than across the face of goal and out.
  7. Mirrors the club. Pages and pages of talking about something that's really not worth talking about in the slightest.
  8. Wait, thirty six thousand people went to this match? What is wrong with people, seriously?
  9. He's operating under the normal budget for a Premier League team. Just because we choose to starve ourselves doesn't mean we should start throwing pelters at the neighbours for their extravagance because they're having beans on toast.
  10. Bournemouth are currently in their ninth season above the THIRD TIER in the club's history (joined the Football League in 1923), and he's been manager for 6 of those 9. He's done a preposterous job.
  11. I'm sure some PL managers just put out an FA Cup second string because they think they have to, as if that's the point of the competition. Why does Eddie Howe do it every year when they're safe as houses?
  12. Absolutely smashed our transfer record on a bloke with one PL goal.
  13. Interesting take on this thread mind... https://twitter.com/beaumontdmd/status/1080751866227625985?s=21 Maybe he just sees an opportunity while Celtic are clearly below-par.
  14. It's nothing like Bayern, there aren't any other German clubs known as Bayern.
  15. Son's one of my favourite players at the minute, absolute quality.
  16. This was posted in the games forum but might have been missed by people on here who could make use of it. If you, or someone in the family, is a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can get a week of Sky Sports free with NowTV. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-sky-sports-nowtv-week-pass-on-playstation-plus-3143562
  17. Yeah, I'm a huge fan of that f***ing cheating w***** of a scumbag twatface myself. I'm sure you are, given the cynical foul he committed against your team. For us it was an incredibly important, necessary, professional foul. Just one of those things. Any player would have done the same in that situation. He also got away with a blatant elbow against Aaron Hughes at OT in 2002. Wullie[/member] He's a fucking cunt. Relentless piece of shit.
  18. WTF you went to away games for 10 years and have never heard this sung....did you go to away games wearing ear mufflers?? tbf its not been sung often for over 20 yrs. Was sung very very often during the 90s I don't know how old the poster is but if he went in the 90s hed have heard it all the time Nah 2003-2013ish.
  19. I travelled away for ten years on and off and have never heard it. I associate it with Boro mainly, and Arsenal.
