Boro and Palace were back-to-back home goalless draws.

This is a fairly unique situation though, and not one that would have existed before PL clubs became a licence to print money. I'd formerly have classed myself in the bold camp, if you go back far enough in my post history to when I was young and stupid, you'd find me fuming that there were 20,000 empty seats on an ice cold Thursday night for a UEFA Cup clash with some fucking Israeli peasants. I agree with you about the changing demographics of football fans, but the situation's a bit flipped on its head here because the club puts no effort in at all, which is an assumption the "thick and thin" argument makes. It's many (by no means all, I'm generalising) of the die hards who are the ones fucking it off, while the ones for whom it's a day out, and who don't give that much of a fuck about the result, continue to fill the place. I usually compare the situation at NUFC to wedding vows. I consider my wedding vows sacrosanct but NUFC are shacked up with the woman next door and only pop round once a week to drink my booze and punch me in the face. Honouring them isn't loyalty, it's idiocy.

A proposed sit-in after a midweek game in January is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard.

I feel a bit sick as I've just worked out the 4-fold would have been worth nearly 16000/1.

Absolute cunts Heracles missing a penalty cost me at least £52 but on the plus side, first one of these I've ever managed to win. I fancied 4 games today for that market and they've all won (Freiburg/Hoffenheim and Bremen/Frankfurt) the others.

Quagliarella goes level with Gabigol's record of scoring in 11 consecutive Serie A games.

Just as well you cashed out.

Nobody was sent off.

Red for Oostende, you might be in luck.

Henry officially sacked. Jardim back in apparently.

Happy Face won't even go on Sky, do a journalist's job for him and leave himself open to a load of abuse from the whoppers in our support, what an absolute cunt.

Obviously loving it in Derby already.

Tell them to stick it up their arse and cancel your Direct Debit basically.

Didn't take Defoe long.

Not a good time to post that Andy, the 3 games this morning yielded 2 goals between them and cost me a packet. I watched the second half of the Perth game and fuck me, you're right about the standard, absolutely horrendous.

Fuck me. I remember Tim Vickery saying that the Argentinian national team, including Messi, had flown on the same plane as Chapecoense a few weeks earlier and come dangerously close to running out of fuel in the same way.

Trying to avoid clashes between the Ultras apparently.

It's a bit tenuous to try and starve money down the line. What next, I'm not going to matches and I'm not getting Sky, and I'm also not going in my local pub, because they've got Sky, and I'm not going to Tesco because I know a woman on the till who has Sky? You'd have to make sure never to spend a single penny on anything if you wanted to make sure a massive company like Sky didn't see it. I don't have any of them, fwiw. I have Sky but have never had any sports channels, too tight.

I'm certainly not a better fan than anyone. I haven't watched a game for about 3 months.

This is exactly what I was talking about last week and was called up on it. If you don’t do things you want to do just because of Ashley, then ultimately he wins. Just take her. I’ve taken my 3 year old twice this season. He’s loved it, even though we lost both times. I want to have that bond with my son, and I want him to fall in love with it. Ashley won’t be here forever, and life’s too short not to make memories with my lad. Ultimately he won’t remember whether we won or lost or whether some fat bastard was ruining the club. He’ll remember the buzz and the noise in the stadium when we score, and the day he’s spent with his dad. Ashley isn’t taking that away from me or him. Not specifically aimed at you, but I’m sick to the back teeth of the attitude on hear that you can be a better fan by not going to the games. Get over yourselves. Accept that ultimately it’s an emotional decision for a lot of people. Sure, if you take all emotion out of it, the correct thing to do is to stop going. But like it or not the emotional connection is huge for a lot of people. They are not mugs or thick or Ashley sympathisers or whatever. Everyone’s different. Like I've said before, do what you want, I don't give two shits anymore. But you are funding it, and you should be prepared to own that. Pretending that he's winning by you not going is totally deluded. He wins when you put your hand in your pocket. You're right that it's an emotional decision. The thought of giving money to Mike Ashley makes me feel fucking disgusted, so I'm going with that emotion.
