  1. Wasn't there a game a few years ago where a team needed to win about 7-1 to qualify, and did it, and there was an investigation into whether it was legit? Same as tonight, Zagreb v Lyon. Aye just found it as I thought Lyon were involved: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/16094091
  2. Quite enjoyed reading the "How long do you give Ranieri?" thread on their forum earlier. I hope that was just one nutter? http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/109319-how-long-are-you-going-to-give-ranieri/

  5. I always bet on over 1.5 team goals (hence Sheff Utd kicking me in the nads) instead of wins so sadly it would have won. Incidentally that's the second time in four days Sheff Utd have been playing against nine men. They were 2-0 up against Shrewsbury on Saturday when the visitors were reduced to nine before half time. Stuck a few quid on Sheff Utd to get 5. Finished 2-1. They've won their last seven in a row and I'm getting nothing out of it.
  6. Lincoln's price was fucking amazing. Wasted thanks to Sheff Utd which looked like an absolute spanking on paper, especially when Bury went down to ten and then nine men. Fortunately walloped £20 on Sheff Utd to score with five minutes to go, but a missed opportunity tonight. Pricks. I had a Leicester/Port Vale double on my slip too then whacked a load of other shite on it.
  7. Lincoln over 1.5tg Sheff Utd over 1.5tg Dover/Woking over 2.5mg Oxford/Gillingham BTTS Millwall/Wimbledon BTTS Sevilla/Juve over 1.5mg Hartlepool/Accrington over 1.5mg
  8. Didn't know Dia had played for Gateshead after leaving Saints, thought he'd just disappeared. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/video/2016/nov/22/fk-lokomotiv-djuricic-serbian-open-goal-video
  9. McCormack's goal record coupled with the fact he's never been in a team anywhere near promotion should have set alarm bells ringing, and I said as much when they signed him. Darren Bent is a fair comparison. All goals and offers sod all else.
  10. Best value I've come across tonight is Lincoln City. Sheff Utd should be absolutely battering Bury as well.
  11. "Palace fans hate him because he's a cockney" - Pete on the Ramble
  12. Milner, Forster, Bellamy.
  13. F365: Pardew takes his customary position in the losers list. For those keeping count, and there are plenty of Palace fans among you, it’s now 22 points from his last 31 league matches. “Anyone who knows the way I manage, I like my teams to be on the front foot and score goals, so clean sheets have never been the top of my priority,” said Pardew on November 8, so you’ll forgive us for updating you on another tally. Palace have not kept a clean sheet in the league for 17 matches, and have conceded two or more goals in six of their last eight games (and each of their last four). The defending is getting worse, not better. Defeat at Swansea next Saturday would leave Palace – at most – three points from the bottom of the league. It should also push Steve Parish’s loyalty beyond breaking point.
  14. Maybe it's not the player but the formation/tactics. We've won 8 in a row, madras. It might be time to admit that Rafa's formations and tactics might be better than yours, like. The squad we have Pardew would strolled it. Bloody hell.
  15. There's a plethora of reasons, many of which are mentioned in the article Figures posted, including the TV deal being split across Sky/BT meaning people have to pay double for the same thing they were getting three years ago, the Premier League currently being largely made up of a lot of rather dull clubs with not a lot of history, the increased availability of streaming. I kind of think we've just hit peak football to be honest. There is barely a day goes by that there isn't some football on television, hardly a weekend or a midweek without some UNMISSABLE clash that 9 times out of 10 turns out to be shite, and I think a lot of people are a bit bored with it. Football on TV is just a lot less special than it used to be.
  16. There's a substantial amount of them still trying to convince themselves of that anyway. After every defeat it's a different reason why today was an exception and back to normal next week - normal being a run of form they were on nearly a year ago now. Today was Man City so that's ok, no shame. Last week was Burnley when they'd come back from 2-0 down so that's ok. Before that was Liverpool so that's ok, no shame. Before was Leicester, the champions. Before was West Ham where they missed a penalty, unlucky. And on and on and on.
