Still can't get over selling Abeid for about twenty quid. Someone at the club looked at the current options and said "yeah that'll do" We used to play Jonas and/or Ryan Taylor in midfield and we've managed to make it worse. :lol:

The pitiful options in arguably the two most important positions in a team, central midfield and centre half, comfortably put us amongst the worst squads in the league. Might as well play without a goalkeeper as play with 2/3 from Anita, Colback and Tiote every week.

While the latter is obviously true, that we don't have any of those things, we're not better than 6-7 teams in the league, on paper or otherwise.

I think everyone would say yes if that was guaranteed. I've moved beyond yes or no really, I can't be bothered to form an opinion on most things about the club anymore. Very much this. From my own POV relegation would probably mean that I more or less stop watching games, as the means to do so won't be there and so the cycle of being a relatively keen and enthusiastic supporter to an armchair fan would be complete. Same.

The midfield is absolutely the main on-field problem. The attack and the defence are shite like, but the midfield is absolutely dismal, and offer absolutely nothing going forward or back. As soon as any side wins the ball from our attackers (which is frequent), they're basically at the back four immediately.

Absolutely chronic watching him whack the ball aimlessly upfield every time he got it.

At their place as well, where it's been comprehensively proven they can't break anyone down if they can do the basics of defending. They've barely scored a goal there that wasn't a free kick or penalty all season. After we scored, you'd think we had about six men.
