I think a lot of it is to do with how much of a social occasion the match is. Almost every other set of PL fans have to go off the beaten track to get to the match. Loads of our fans aren't overly bothered about the result or performance as long as they can have a drink.

Not at present he isn't, having had arguably the easiest start in the division (only Man Utd could claim an easier one). A serious relegation threat is the only thing that will remove him. All this they've spun over the years about there being a minimum acceptable position is complete rubbish, the minimum (for both Ashley and a great deal of our fans) is 17th, but he will go if that starts to look unlikely.

Swansea suffer from a real inferiority complex imo. They should be stuffing teams like Southampton do when they've got the upper hand.

Precisely. Kid plays well for a couple of games, creates a goal last time out and scores a winner this time and yet still the negativity on here about him is raging. The state of some of the teams we've played makes me even more furious. Hull, Villa, Leicester, Stoke, Palace, even Swansea have all been pitiful in the main. I just won't have it that our players, managed properly, are not wiping the floor with most of that shit.
