  1. I'm not sure he'll be that bothered. Rebekah comes across as being dense and a fame-hungry scrubber. She will probs bin off Jamie when his playing days are over.
  2. Thick as mince. Was she with her ex husband when she was pumped off Peter Andre?
  3. Robert did get plenty stick and always divided opinion. However, put his goals and assists on the table and that shut folk up. ASM has been a perhaps lone bright spark in a poor side, since he joined us.
  4. He's already place for Nice. ASM is young enough to improve through coaching and also hopefully with better players around him. Don't throw him on the scrap heap just yet.
  5. Some supporters also have selective memories to go with their never being pleased. Who honestly will admit to giving one of the best players of his generation, stick? Gazza got some too, during 86/87.
  6. Beardsley got stick in the season that we almost went down - 86/87, as did Gazza. How do I know? Because I was there.
  7. As others have said, there is much work that lies ahead. I had been one for a kind of gradual revolution, but we need some big signings in the summer, with many of the present lot to be shown the door.
  8. Yup - he's nowhere near their level, but they still used to get stick. Thing is, we could have a Man City type of side and there would be still a flair player that the boo-boys would target. I've seen it before.
  9. Rarely is. We've just been cannon fodder, for a long time. Hopefully things will now begin to change on that front.
  10. When have I said ASM is my favorite player?
  11. As I said in the OP, Ginola and Robert were still pulled up, despite the assists and goals.
  12. Always been an element of our support, who love having digs at flair players - I believe in my dad's day, it was the likes of Alan Suddick and Jinky Smith who used to get pelters. In the last couple of decades, we've seen the likes of Ginola, Robert and now ASM targeted when they hit poor form. Whilst Ginola/Robert delivered, they were part of good sides - but still got grief about not tracking back/being lazy. ASM is a flair player and frustrating, but he's also playing in a very limited side whilst going through a patch of dodgy form. In a better side with better player around him, he will become a better player. Keep the faith. It's also worth remembering that I'm old enough for to remember Gazza and Beardsley getting the bird, during the mid-late 80's. For some folk, there is no pleasing!
  13. Who will you turn on if and when ASM is sold?
  14. It's nothing new with regards flair players. ASM is a great talent, but he's mecurial and that leaves him open to getting grief. Ginola and Robert used to get the same.
  15. Of course, but he's become the whipping boy in recent weeks for the boo-boys.
  16. At least we know that Bruno isn't afraid to get stuck in.
