I've got some mates on FB who don't want this to go through - arguing 'better the devil you know' and 'he's doing a good job all things considered'. I genuinely despair sometimes - I really do. You can't be afraid of change, because surely no-one can play as turgid and negative game as Pardew.

Newcastle United 3-2 Everton - 28/12/14 Post match reaction from p. 23

Remember when ESPN and Ray Stubbs lobbied against a tackle by Cabaye v Brighton a few years back? If that had been a Man City/Chelsea player today doing that, it will have been skirted over. -
The lad is and is going to be some player. Intelligence beyond his years - fantastic technique and finishing. He'll be peddled as soon as someone flashes enough money (15million +)- the sharks from the PL and Spain will already be watching. Enjoy it lads, because we won't see this kid's best years here - which is a damn shame.

Any ban will start when he comes back from the ACON, unless the PL push for him to be barred from that instead (unlikely) -

Relieved for the win, against what was a very poor Everton side. But it could and should have been far more comfortable than it was. At 3-1, we let them back into the game and full blown panic sets in. Williamson all over the place, Tiote doing his headless chicken routine. Ultimately, the cool heads of Sissoko and the excellent Perez saw us home. Cisse deserves whatever ban he gets- defo need a new striker in now. -

Usual anti-football from Pardew. Either howked forward or lots of slow backwards and sideways passing. No way on gods earth we are getting anything here. Rotten! -

Wofeul team selection. -
I caught a bit of this, when Merson was on about Shearer. The blokes not the full shilling.
-
Mentioning Cabaye again - the lad's been away from here for nearly a year. It would seem Keith Bishop's PR campaign is still going strong.
-
Said beforehand that Pardew would single out Armstrong after the game, and lo and behold.

The conditions where he gets paid a good salary to fuck off to London 4 days a week? Well, having to work for a despotic cunt for a boss. We all know Pardew is as happy as a pig in shit. It's an ideal job for him. Only thing that can change that is the supporters, but how long is it going to take for St James to rise from it's apathetic slumber? FFS - only 10 years ago, he'd have been ran out of town long before now. -

I think Ando was referring to the 'conditions' that Pardew has to work under, which is basically what he is told. -

Had a go at Pardew - called him a fraud and a charlatan, who is tacitally naive and cowardly. Said some stats - 11 times this season we've conceded 3 or more in a game, 4 losses to the mackems in a row, 38 points across 2014=relegation form, expecting Perez and Sissoko to create something out of nothing. Also said you can't be afraid of change in wanting Pardew gone. We can and should expect better. Also said about van Gaal said they gave up at HT. What was the reaction to your points? He agreed in the main, but said which other manager would come here and work with what's tantamount to a noose around his neck. I said that there are plenty who would and that you can't be afraid of change. -

Well on the way to 4 defeats in a row. In that time, we've scored 1 goal and conceded 11 with every possibility of more to come today. Remember though - it's not Pardew's fault!
