I've got some mates on FB who don't want this to go through - arguing 'better the devil you know' and 'he's doing a good job all things considered'. I genuinely despair sometimes - I really do. You can't be afraid of change, because surely no-one can play as turgid and negative game as Pardew.

Relieved for the win, against what was a very poor Everton side. But it could and should have been far more comfortable than it was. At 3-1, we let them back into the game and full blown panic sets in. Williamson all over the place, Tiote doing his headless chicken routine. Ultimately, the cool heads of Sissoko and the excellent Perez saw us home. Cisse deserves whatever ban he gets- defo need a new striker in now.
