Not good, though the lass in question is hardly innocent here either. I hope she feels as guilty as hell, but I bet she won't. That sort never do.

Merlin - it's a shame that you cannot stay and contribute to here. You have much advice and experience to pass on to the younger fans who are still blinded by passion for the club. They should listen to you and perhaps then the same mistakes will not be repeated again and again in the future. I remember that weekend of the Coventry game (which I missed) as I was in Blackpool for the weekend with a Mag mate of mine and his mam and dad. Also remember it as the day/weekend that Jackie Milburn sadly passed away.

I remember the whole 'Supporters for Change' thing, back in 89/90. Think a couple of lads on here were involved - possibly Merlin and Ian W? Some stayed away from games, as the war between McKeag and Sir John Hall intensified. I was only 16/17 at the time and not mature enough to realize properly what was going on, as I still went to every home game. Now 20 years on, I know better. As for the clueless like Stu above.... *shakes head*

Until you change your mentality, Ashley has you and others like you by the balls - and he knows it. It's why he can get away with it.

The Legends/Total Sport/606 Thread - Three Legends Axed

I heard that. Laughable, especially the Robert comment. One of Ashley's relatives maybe? -
Andy Carroll gone in January, if not the summer. Chelsea, Spurs and possibly Man United waiting in the wings. Shifting out the likes of Smith and Barton will be much harder, because who will pay them the wages they are on here?
-
Am sure this was mooted 2 years ago, when Newcastle Blue Star were still going. I'll be going to watch Blyth Spartans from now on - I know my support will be appreciated there.
-
Hudson - he was apparently knocking off one of his players' wives at Southampton, which is why he got the shove. Did it at West Ham too, allegedly!
-
GM - that consideration doesn't enter my thinking because it will not happen.
-
What happens if by some miracle we end up winning silverware under Pardew? You are having a laugh aren't you? That won't happen in a million years.
-
I'll follow the club on TV/radio and in the media. No more going to games for me now. I won't set foot inside St James until Ashley is gone. Simple as that.
-
*sigh* No end in sight to this nightmare it would appear. I hope the crowd on Saturday back the players to the hilt, but also give plenty of shit towards Ashley, Llambias and Pardew. I bet our owner won't be there anyway - he will be 'away on business'. Yellow streaked c**t that he is.
-
He can't have missed the fact that our crowds are already significantly down from our last Premiership season. I mean the mans the Footballing equivalent of Forrest Gump without the luck but he can see numbers when they're staring him in the face. Crowds are down, but the cash is still rolling in at the moment. do you think we'll make an operating profit this season ? Nope - but we won't lose as much as we did last season. Then again - remember the the first remit of any new manager coming in may well be to sell Carroll. If Spurs or Chelsea come waving daft money in January, can you see Ashley saying no? I can't.

honestly can't see how he's going to get it. Easy - TV Money, Merchandising, Season Ticket Sales, etc. As long as the cash keeps rolling in (and we stay in the PL), he can take it out when he likes. Easy?, IF we could possibly make £10m profit a year, which is a big if with fans started to disapear and likely more of them off after this latest s*** storm, then he could maybe make his money back in 30 years time. Perhaps he believes that folk will still turn up no matter what he does to them and the club?

Also I wonder if 5 years will be time enough for him to claw back the cash from the club, that I believe he wants?
-
If that's true, then it's definitely going to be a 'yes man' who comes in. No self-respecting coach will come and work with butttons and be expected to produce a miracle.
-
Wilkins did a poor job at QPR back in the early-mid 90's did he not? No-goer for me - mainly because he lacks experience and he comes over as being a respected man.
-
So Hughton has been stabbed in the back for one of Ashley's mates. Super. If Pardew gets this, he's s dead man walking even before he starts.
-
Pardew doesn't think much of his players.... ask Carl Fletcher and Rui Fonte (allegedly)
-
I believe Caulkin on this one. Pardew it is then and therein lies my decision to put not one more penny of my cash into this club whilst Ashley remains. I urge all other supporters to do the same.
-
Not had 'reason' to do it before now, Elbel. The 5 game winless run gave him his out ball to bin Hughton.
