This. I will be finished with the club until the meglomaniac is gone.

I'm gonna make a predication - Ashley has a buyer lined up next summer, but that deal will be dependent on staying up. Any new owner may well want to bring in their own man, hence Hughton not being given a new deal and who would be willing to work as a no.2 for a manager who is in limbo? Of course, it's just personal speculation on my part but this is NUFC and Mike Ashley we are talking about.

"Beardsley was best player of KK’s nearly men" - Tino

Natural talent and flair is being coached out of kids at the moment - it's all about power and athleticism. Add to that, kids shouldn't play on a full-size pitch until they are 13-14 and you have another reason. The coaching and academy system in this country needs a complete overhaul in terms of it's thinking and how to produce quality players. -
Hughton has been badly let down by the players in recent weeks, in terms of performances and discipline. Time to earn his money now and sort the feckers out. That said, he has to stop making the same tactical mistakes as well, or come January - the pressure will be on Ashley to replace him. And who will that mean? JFK.

Well, that was garbage. We never got going and WBA were very easily able to pass our way around our midfield, which was over-ran. Tiote cannot do the job of two men as he tried to do for Guthrie today (who is just too slow and lightweight for this league) No win in 5 for us now which in itself is worrying, with Liverpool up next week. We need some new bodies in, in January - a creative/pacy MC is a must.

Hope the media go all out and unearth the extent of the corruption tbh. This, for me. -
Scumbag brummies.

Shearer haters are out \o/ This 'influence' that he supposedly had is nothing more than a smokescreen for the under-achievement that was allowed to happen.

Disappointing to get yet another bloody away draw at this stage of the cup. By my reckoning we've only had one home 3rd round game in the last 10 years? -

Agreed, due to Shola Agreed about Guthrie. We missed Nolan's link-up with the strikers today, Carroll was very isolated up-front. Agreed, due to Shola not looking fit. We need to find a regular partner for Carroll in the long term, as well as improving our play from wide areas. No sense in having a quality big man if you've got wingers who are more miss than hit. -

I thought Guthrie started well, but faded. Lacks the stamina and pace to sit in there full time, IMO. As for Shola - didn't look fit to me. -

Excellent and well deserved point. Got off to a great start, with Carroll winning everything in the air and Tiote prompting in midfield. Felt we stood off Chelsea a bit too much, but it was perhaps to be expected with them being champions. Thought Carroll, Tiote and Campbell did really well, and also Routledge turned in a good shift against Cole. Oh and Souness is still a ****. -
At least we look balanced. Big day for Guthrie and Routledge in their favoured positions.

Aye I was on the Metro on way to the game that night when I found out, got as far as Gateshead Metro and had to head back. I was walking past The Trent House when I heard. Had to get wor lass to come back and pick me up beside the BBC building. She wasn't happy.

Was it pay on the gate, yesterday as well? I've noticed the knobhead element at Blackburn before, when you've been able to get in that way. -

This unfortunately. Could be seen as wrong, given the plaudits he got after the mackem game, but results and performances since then (bar Arsenal) have been rotten. Questions need to be asked as to what we are doing. -

Carroll hits the post.... Cowardly performances all round today, bar our no.9. It's the relegation season all over again.
