Look at the pics of him in training man. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2269537/Newcastle-fine-French-players-learning-English.html#ixzz2JHJknXak Cool as the seed at the centre of a cucumber.

Had. He had a horse called Django. For about 3 days. Django is now in a stottie.

A considerably different version of the quote. 'It is never over til it’s over and club like this we are always likely to do business. If we lost a player we might have a look and see.' 5 in, 1 out makes our wages budget unhappy.

I have come to the conclusion that his personal problem is that he has lost the ability to communicate vocally. /Oddly, if anything I'd have thought that'd help his marriage! But apparently not.

No it really wouldn't. Yeah. Yeah it would. We're bottom of the God damned league.

Have to agree with Wenger here. It's well annoying seeing other clubs buying players.

If we went up against Villa unchanged, it would show immense bravery and balls from Pardew. I'd respect him for that. -
It probably is. They managed to bumble in on Remy, kosh him, and drag him round the corner before our bullet hit. Old Candleface got lucky, but their thuggish tactics will only get you so far in this brutal game. Meanwhile we walk in the shadows, silent assassins with the plans in place to execute our targets when the need arises, swiftly, elegantly, efficiently. REALLY? HEADSHOT! HEADSHOT! HEADSHOT! HEADSHOT! HEADSHOT! *Puts down fountain pen* *Closes window*

He either handled it amazingly well (as if it made Hatem act more professional and raise his level of performance to get noticed) or he's a fucking idiot for not playing our best player still unsure about the whole saga. In the short term, Hatem would have been lightyears better than having Obertan play. In the long term, did it help us? Who knows. Well Hatem has adapted his game well, barely shown any of his past attitude problems, is the first name on the managers team sheet, and seems to have a great deal of respect for Pardew, again fighting his corner in his recent interviews... So I'd go with yes. Without any of us knowing what happened behind the scenes obviusly, I'm happy to go along with the idea that Pardew handled his reintroduction after his injury as well as could be hoped for.

Absolutely. That said, while I don't care for the details, a few words to affirm his commitment for the next few months wouldn't go amiss. For the club captain not to have spoken to the media for 6 months is a bit of a joke frankly. Even more so considering the support they've given in keeping his problems under wraps for the most part.

The bit in bold is what I think the majority of us want to see the most - To go out there and take the game to the opposition. To be fair to Pardew, we have increasingly come out and done this, but our confidence has been fragile and we have more often than not ended up falling apart and fucking it up. I see the signings of clearly strong characters like Mbiwa and Sissoko as a massive boost to our chances in this regard. -

What's this blatantly obvious team then? Krul; Debuchy, Coloccini, MYM, Santon, Sissoko, Anita, Cabaye, Gouffran, Marveaux, Cisse. Looks sexy, but I wouldn't say it's blatantly obvious. Personally I probably wouldn't see Gouffran out there, we need him as a striker option on the bench and feck knows whether he or the others can manage the full 90 minutes of a Prem game. Also considering they'll only be seeing 1 or 2 training sessions I'd be astonished to see the team have 4 new players starting, and certainly wouldn't be arbitrarily be shooting shit at Pardew if it doesn't. Nor would I even contemplate sacking him for a draw if he made the right subs, we played well, should have won, but got unlucky. Each to his own though, as you say. What are the alternatives to come into that front six? We still need serious recruitment this month if Gouffran isn't going to play there imo, because our options in those two positions either side of a front man are truly pathetic. To be honest, for all his faults going forward and the general desire for attacking football (that I too share) part of me would see Jonas in there to assist the midfield three. While I'd love Sissoko to hit the ground running, the lack of training etc will tell to a degree, and he doesn't seem to be the defensive hardnut that the Essien comparisons suggested. I can't think of anything worse than seeing him there again. I don't understand the will to pick your forwards because of the job they can do defensively. That negative attitude is what has us in this utter mess in the first place. Agreed. I sigh every time he starts, I find his inability to keep the ball in play or find another player unbelievably frustrating, and I don't find it easy to defend his inclusion in the slightest. Nevertheless, there is still a small part of me that sees him as the old head that can ease the new signings into the team and then be taken of when we're confident Sissoko is ok and that throwing on a wide man/striker wont see us overrun. -

Thought that'd be fairly obvious. If there were no signs of new life in the team, like Wullie, I'd want him sacked. Crikey, pretty strong for you. Not being sarcastic btw. Heh, true. I'd still probably be fairly proactive in finding any positives in the performance, and sympathetic to any reasonable problems... But no, I don't have endless patience. -

Bob Murray did as well if I remember correctly. Hit with a bottle by a well heeled macum.

No more outgoings or nasty surprises at the end of the window? Then that'll do for me.
