Cheers. Highlights is probably pushing it a touch though, the game doesn't even start until ten minutes in.

Slightly overplaying it there. The only actual conclusion it came to was that the club was inconsistent in its portrayal of who had the final say on transfers and had failed to provide anything other than 'profoundly unsatisfactory' explanations. In the end they certainly didn't side with Keegans claim when it came to the amount of damages he was due. Happy birthday Kev. Cheers for the good (great... actually fuck that, amazing) times.

So in essence, you want shot of Carver?
-
So someone like the mega rich Al-Hasawi family?
-
Well that doesn't sound so good. The new owner (let's call him, oh, I don't know... Mr Moat?) would have to do some serious asset stripping to get that kind of outlay back.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Let the money flow.

No doubt some see it as hoop tickling, but a nice little snippet about him from the Grauniads Steven Taylor interview today. "On the training pitch he also spends a lot of time working individually with you. He's very demanding, a perfectionist who is always on your tail, and really into his stats, but he's also got that bit of banter with people, which is good. He's the toughest manager I've had but he knows how to deal with his players. He's got everyone's respect." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/feb/08/steven-taylor-french-newcomers-newcastle

2 Wins? Llambias has been saying the same stuff and has quietly gone about building a pretty impressive squad for more than 2 years now. Besides the stadium naming farce, he's done pretty well on the supporter side too in regards to the family enclosure, charity/foundation malarkey, and the regular ticketing deals. I think that's what people judge him on. Not the 2 wins. Get your tongue out of his hoop man. My tongue is not up anybodies hoop, ta.

Wasn't the stuff from that article to be fair, was the "Premier League needs to be our focus" one: May just be a few of us being overly negative, but it does read as a sort of "don't expect much from us in Europe" spiel. Aye, true. But I think that's pretty fair - The priority has to be the league, but with the new players coming in I still think we'll give the competition a go. Certainly seems pretty positive about attacking the competition next year. Pity we'll not be in it barring some miracle.

It's a bit meaningless. He'll only stay if he does well maybe picking up a few trophies along the way. If he doesn't, he wont. I'll be delighted if he's here for decades.

Sensible stuff from the chairman again. Keep up the good work. Oh, and as for the Euro Cup comments, he's spot on; it needs cutting down and restructuring. He didn't say anything about not wanting to win it.
-
So... Why did he sign it? Personal problems not evident at that time and he was prepared to see out the contract, see above. Nope, it was reported that the problems were already evident iirc at the time he signed.

So... Why did he sign it?

Be interesting to see what we do with him in the summer. I'm guessing at 21 he isn't going to break into our first team squad but it seems he has enough about him to make a career out of football. Send him to Gateshead in exchange for some arts funding.

You certainly are. -
new Forest owners seem like absolute dicks tbf. McLeish is horribly s*** tbh they seemingly fucked him over with the George Boyd deal though. Seems mental pulling out of a deal because of an eyesight problem. Yeah, football's called football for a reason. You play with your feet.

Damn straight. We barely manage to beat Villa, and while we looked fantastic, Chelsea are struggling to pull up trees at the moment, recently drawing with Reading and losing at home to QPR. We look like we have some confidence back, which is terrific, but lets not go overboard eh.

Lose just 2 in 13. Well... that'd be nice.
