Disappointing. Celtic would have been funnier.

Actually, I think he might save Lennon and Defoe, just in case. We might see: Friedel Walker King Dawson BAE Kranjcar Parker Modric Bale Saha Adebayor I think it is unlikely he will start with Parker and Livermore, as we're at home. I'd be delighted with that line up tbf. Should reduce the tonking you'll give us to 3 - 1.

He'd fit well on here then. Fkn man crush central.

"In England, it is zero pressure."! Not a lot there I don't think, for the actual full interview with Demba Ba, no idea how, but you have to read the latest 'France Football' on Friday, February 10.

Much more accurate than the win %age method. Pardew's record is good but probably even more so considering what he was working with 2nd half of last season. What's that supposed to mean? Pardew has done extremely well but let's not pretend he took over a shite side like most replacements do. Lets not pretend that after we lost HBA and Carroll, he didn't have his first half a season with the worst strike force to grace the books of any modern day NUFC related football historian. /he's done well, end of.

From Happy Face on TT - Premier league points won only (top flight), no cups.... 61.54% - Kevin Keegan (143/78/30/35) 53.19% - Sir Bobby Robson (188/83/51/54) 50.00% - Alan Pardew (46/18/15/13) 47.44% - Glenn Roeder (52/21/11/20) 45.24% - Kenny Dalglish (56/19/19/18) 41.27% - Sam Allardyce (21/7/5/9) 39.58% - Chris Hughton (16/5/4/7) 39.39% - Graeme Souness (55/16/17/23) 36.84% - Kevin Keegan 2 (19/5/6/8) 36.59% - Ruud Gullit (41/11/12/18) 34.72% - Joe Kinnear (24/5/10/9) 20.83% - Alan Shearer (8/1/2/5)

No reason as such, though he did say they had some injury problems that morning (Thurs). "Are you exited by the two Dembas playing together. Yeah I am... not sure about this game, but I am going forward." Think he may go one up top, or it may just be pre match mind games of course. /He totally has a man crush on the way Tottenham play and Bale in particular; Laughs at comparisons as we've "had to grind out a few recently".

Pardew pretty much said in his press conference that Cisse and Ba are unlikely to start the game together. If that's the case, how about: Krul Simpson Willo Colo Santon Perch Guthrie Obertan HBA Jonas Ba Essentially the system we used at Fulham and Brighton, but with Jonas moving over to replace Best, Ben Arfa coming in behind Ba and Obertan playing on the right. Also means Pardew can use Obertan to double up on Bale when we defend if he doesn't trust Ben Arfa to do it. Ticks all my boxes.

If the FA offer £35m for Pards, I think we'd be mad not to take it and invest in 2, maybe even 3 Senegalese managers.

Apropos of nothing and probably a massive Giggsy, but this is just brilliant. http://www.shiteseats.co.uk/post/17227764962/mad-danes-record-a-tribute-rock-song-to-the-toon

I see that they're still blocking Falkland Isle-flagged ships from docking at their ports at the moment too, presumably there are elections coming up or something. Nay, they just had them. The last apertura was called the Copa Malvinas too, seems they name them all after historical jibber jabber. Pretty much every street/plaza in Argentina is named after some old historical/military giffer. Fair enough, but that Kirchner still seems to have one sandy vagina, they're now going to report us to the UN for war mongering according to the beeb ffs.

Super to make gifs from video clips and Photoshop for the rest. Is Super safe? Downloaded it, but it wants to access t'internet when installing. Should be safe Cheers, will let it do whatever it feels it needs to do then.

I think the genuine reason is that he can't handle flair players and he knows the fans want to see him play so he's trying to turn the fans against the player, I could be wrong but I don't think I am. Surely he can speak to the player in training without going through the press, it's as if he's after a reaction. I think there's no doubt he's after a reaction, but only from the player himself. The idea that he is trying to turn the fans against HBA is laughable imho. He clearly rates him ("unbelievable talent"), and wants to play him, maybe even going as far as to change the system to accommodate a player who he himself has said can be forgiven losing the ball as he gives us so much extra going forward. But having said all that, he seems to not be getting enough back from the lad to risk him at the moment and I cant argue too much after some of the performances he's put in (such as the first half against Blackburn) sadly. I hope to God that HBA proves whatever he needs to, or Pardew gives up to a degree and compromises sooner rather than later though; It would be a hell of a shame if it doesn't work out. He's the type of player you dream about pulling on the shirt for us.

Interesting comment from Pardew. Sounds like 'the Carroll money' is long gone tbh. The quote in the Independant is similar but for me shows he is not making a point that the only money left for such a deal is from new money or stadium revenue, simply trying to include us and emphasising his responsibility to us as he often does.

I think expectations in our players is partially down to us doing well, so rather than saying we could be doing even better (if Pardews tactics saw us go all tippy tappy etc, not that I wouldn't waant that of course), I'm in the camp that says we are doing very well with the players we have and are not too far off our limit, especially considering the extraordinary journey we have been on in the last couple of years. Beyond the quality of personnel, we still are getting results that we might not have got in the past. Whether that's luck, playing beyond ourselves, or just a symptom of a great drive and belief among the players that is nurtured and sustained by a very good manager and coaching staff I'm don't know. Pretty sure a great deal is to do with the latter though.
