    Err, no! Whatever, Kenneth.

    Papiss Cissé

    That's translation for you. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. Ah so that's why I take more of a glass half full line on here most of the time. It generally genuinely is. Average league position for me - 16.38235294117647

    Habib Beye

He was class when he moved to the centre Our form that season would suggest otherwise. So if you get relegated every single player has to be shit? If that's the case then Scott Parker can hand back his trophy for last season. They all played a part. Beye wasn't brilliant in his final season and his form since he left would prove that his decline started that season. Only Bassong came out of relegation season with any credit. Rest of the team hid behind the problems off the field for their own pathetic on-field performances individually and as team. Agreed. As to the topic, I was there for the Leyton Orient game and was absolutely sickened by Beyes performance in particular that day. Had absolutely no problem with him leaving after that, he clearly couldn't give two shits anymore. /That said thought, he was great for us and I'm happy to believe he just made bad choices/was badly advised in the end.
  5. Barton, Enrique, and our captain were 3 massive players for us and left in the same window. We survived, and thrived. /it's the quality we bring in that's the thing, not the players they replace.
  6. Eh what? Just felt the need to say I find the use of the term 'mong' pretty offensive. The apparently flippant and repetitive use of it in this thread especially so. No biggie. I looked back ten pages and couldn't find one instance of it. As James said it's all ower the board, so honestly fair enough, I'm just a little taken aback that it's a common term these days. In this thread since you ask, a quick search throws up. There's a discussion about it here: http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,91533.0.html Also please note the previous thread I've linked to in there. Interesting stuff.

  9. Really getting sick and tired of the liberal use of 'mong' in these threads. Sorry, and I can well believe I'm just showing my age here, but at what point did this become a vaguely amusing or in any way acceptable term to refer to someone?

    Bring out the dossier!
  11. Really though? If your s***... fans don't like you just because your a 'good lad' and don't want you to be sold.
  12. Norwich away? Look, I have nothing personal against the lad, and I concede we need squad players. It's just I think we have better squad players in his natural position and he's woeful in a position where we have very little cover, so his "versatility" is not worth much in my book. However, with the club's apparent decision to not bring in better centre back options I am glad he's still here, as I'd rather have him then nobody (but only just). That said, I'd much sooner play Kadar at centre back when we're short than Perch. I have seen nothing of Medhi to suggest he can to a better job yet than Perch in the defensive/spoiling role he plays, and I simply haven't seen anything of Kadar recently to make any sort of judgement anymore. As such, I'm happy to go with what the mnager and coaches decide - those players are not up to it yet.
  13. I believe it was reported that we effectively pulled out because he was demanding first team football from the off. We would fast track him, but couldn't guarantee it (which is fair enough). Be interesting to see how he does; should be a good move for him, and for West Ham as well imho.
  14. Same, close that shit up tight. "Slam it shut", to coin a phrase. Aye, good and tight. There's no way Tiote can fit through a gnats chuff.
  15. Seems fair, not like Everton need transfer fees or owt.
  16. We totally have, Watford need to check their SPAM folder.
  17. Just watched that again and he also said he knows the player. Not too unlikely that he might refuse Wigan forcing Watford's hand to deal with us? I'm fairly sure the press conference was before Wigan put the bid in? Guessing at the time Pards felt we had the upper hand, hopefully as you say, we may still do depending on Mariappas take on things.
  18. Some idiot outbid me on Ebay for a fucking jam spoon last night. I know how good that jam spoon is and for that price I'd expect a jam spoon with a telescopic arm and laser guidance. The jam spoon seller totally mugged him off. Please don't tell me you're going to go forward with out a quality backup jam spoon! Backup? I'm a collector, got millions of the damn things. Can't stand jam anymore.
  19. Pardew seems pretty bullish, said Watford need to take into account what Mariappa wants. Defffo get the impression that it is this lad as 2nd tier insurance, or nobody.
