Yes, he wasn't. They both watched the Stoke game together, Gary headed home and Shearer headed over to OT.

You support Chelsea? Just the facts ma'am.

We haven't beaten any of the six around or above us. We lack any capable fit centerback cover or striker cover you'd have confidence in scoring regularly.

Sustained. Absolute nonsense. Hang on, Ferguson questioning the status of his part-time job doesn't give rise to his primary profession? Yeah, right. Yes, that's right. What he does as his primary profession, unless it is football related, has no bearing on whether Ferguson has a right to question why we are still using part time Linesmen. Ryders tweet is Sun or Mail standard dislocated emotional wummery at its finest. -

Not even sure who Jose was trying to hit with that pass.

Bit harsh, I was hurting but saw him as a good and slightly unfortunate manager who had something about him at least. Hughtons dismissal, and Pardews appointment has made this on a par with when Souness was anounced, but I have a damn sight more faith in how Pardew goes about getting a team to play decent football and as a character, than I ever had for Souness. ...and I was far from the only one. Plenty more were willing to give him a fair chance. That said we were all a bit all over the place at the time (I'm sure I called him worse than shit before he was appointed), hindsight's a bitch.

I'd like to think, and am almost certain that he wasn't.

I don't get the anger at a website not being one of the first to update. It's a Sunday and I have no problem if they take their time to get it right. 5Live have read out a full statement from the club.

Deserves grief. Besides not being terribly similar to Tiote, nobody here has a clue what we are likely to do in January or how a players form in November might affect things. Ah right, might be best to close the forum down then if we can't discuss hypotheticals. It was a rotten hypothetical, on a par with fearing Tiote's new satellite installation may cause him a sprained arse. Why is it so different from the Carroll sale and Best's subsequent form? 'We coped perfectly fine then, why not cash in again?' No, you're right it's not, you have every right to worry and discuss. I'll just stick my head in the sand and enjoy these players playing well while they're here (before they both depart at some point in the future, as all our players inevitably will).

Pretty sure I could cope more with Perch than Williamson in a midfield role.

Already turned it over, what did he say? If they play like that every week, he'll be very very happy. I think we can take that as a bit of a compliment. -

Well, there's an arguement to be made that we haven't beaten any of the big clubs and are therefore still nothing special. That would be an absolute bollox of an argument though, we are quite clearly fecking brilliant. -

That's the best one we've ever had and I've still got mine. Always regretted giving mine away back in the day so bought a replacement off ebay a couple of years back. Great shirt.

Way to much confidence going into a game at Old Trafford. We'll get bummed. Royally. -
Great news about Sherwood. Have a lovely afternoon.

It doesn't really matter whether it was down to the Carroll sale or not (though I'd be surprised if the money didn't allow us a greater freedom or flexibility when it came to bringing in players or negotiating contracts over the summer). We seem to have improved, and if we do that more often than not when we lose a big player I'm not going to get too concerned about the clubs actual spending.
-
The forced simplicity of your question is pretty ludicrous. All i'm saying is that I'd be perfectly happy with us losing Tiote if we subsequently improved. If that was down to us reinvesting the money then great, if not... then great. Money goes into the club, money goes out, isolating particular income as being special seems fairly pointless with all due respect.
