Why not play the lot. Geremi-Butt-cacapa-Smith. That scares me seeing that A big ball of fail. :-[ Still cannot get how Cacapa was so utterly revered by his last clubs fans though. There must be something to him, just seems he moved to late in his career to be able to adapt properly.

Ok, it was like this shot, just using his left foot rather than her right, and was kinda more of a powerful curling shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box rather than her hoof and hope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Xsttxw15Vw Hope that helps.

Where is the 'play them both' option?

Is it illegal to PM people to request PMs? As I understand his post, it is solely the act of soliciting PM's that falls foul. How you choose to submit your request means nothing in the eyes of the law. Stop the soliciting!

That interview is great. Ranger: "He's from Slovenia... or something".

They have from me, £49.40 out of my bank account on the 10th Its just a number man, wont hurt you. £49.4! Holy shit, that's not just any number! 49 x 4 x 3 (Wise, Llambias and Ashley) + 78 (the year we went down) = 666 AYYYYIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!

I'm feeling stupid. Care to expand on what you mean there? Yorkie's off form today. Cut him some slack. He can't expand on babble Cut him some slack? He is genuinely hurted my head.

Yes, but what Happy Face has chosen not to relay is that they were not profits that stayed in the club as that graph doesn't take into account dividends paid out. "In the 9 years the club has been a PLC, a profit after dividends has been made only twice. In those two years the profit was £200,000, in the 7 other years the losses have totalled £62m." http://www.football-finances.org.uk/newcastle/profit5.gif

Llambias Q&A with Chronicle: OP updated with Thursday's articles
BottledDog replied to a topic in Football
From the webchat - 1:11 [Comment From Morty] Afternoon gents! You said that Llambias came accross as a businessman, how did he differ in comparison to other, more experienced chairmen that you've interviewed in the past? And did his positive view for the future of the club sound sincere? 1:12 Luke Edwards: He was better than Freddie Well I guess that's positive. -
Jose Enrique out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury
BottledDog replied to a topic in Football
Top bloke. Hope some of the doom mongers on here take some of his positivity on board. -
So to settle it, is he just going to give us half of the £2 million we want from him for breaking his contract?
-
"There was a commitment to improve dialogue between the management and the fans, but no sense of how this was going to happen, and certainly nothing that suggested that Mike Ashley was going to become the public face that Newcastle desperately need." Desperately need? I don't get the calls for this, since when have owners been the public face of clubs? Leave the day to day bullshitting to Managers and players, the business side of things can only be measured over the long term.

And how the f*** would they know? Im not saying they do know but there all intelligent lads and there all proper football supporters and they all think Ashley is a joke . Maybe there wrong and maybe im wrong (I hope so) but they all think Ashley doesnt want to be there and he's doing all he can to recoup every penny he's invested. I f***ing hope there wrong but it seems like that to me as well Fair play. I think there's a notable difference however between not caring for something (as you're suggesting), and caring for it but doing a poor job of it. People mention Doug Ellis as an example from time to time, and Shepherd for that matter. Both had their issues and both messed up at times, but it wouldn't be fair to accuse either of not caring for their clubs. Ashley has for the most part shown himself not to have a clue, but I wouldn't for a minute accuse him of not caring for us. You don't put the money has he put in if you don't care about it. I felt he cared for us when he stood with the fans in the terraces but didn't have a hands-on approach to running the club, and I still feel he cares now he much more of a say in what goes on. Yeah I know what your saying, I was standing 2 yards away from him at half time at coventry and at the time I thought great, there he was in his newcastle top having a beer, but I just dont know anymore, was it genuine? Nah, the beer was lime fizz, he had dapper suit on underneath and would cackle at he evil genius every time yer back was turned. Of course it was genuine, the big eejit believed he had people there to run the club and he was going to enjoy himself. Turned out running the club wasn't as easy as he thought though.

Llambias Q&A with Chronicle: OP updated with Thursday's articles

He thought we'd finish above Arsenal last season when we had Allardyce. and you thought Ashley - or anybody - would be better than the Halls and Shepherd. Don't see why that's a stupid point of view, I certainly thought Ashley would be a great owner, as did many people. It doesn't seem to be ridiculed now everyone is saying anything would be better than Ashley, even though they haven't got any idea who it might be. Got to agree with you Ian W. At first I honestly thought Ashley would be a great owner. Although it became pretty clear from the very start he wasn't a 'Roman calibre' in term of money, I really expected a lot more from him. He's made so many stupid mistakes since taking over. For instance, Mort disappeared in came Llambas (!!) Jimenez left the club, and I really rate Jimenez. It looks like Wise is doing a great job at getting in young players, but why is he appointed DOF? Why isn't he just name head scout? We need a good manager, well... look no further than Sven G. Eriksson. He's having a hard time in Mexico, and seriously, why wouldn't he be interested in the newcastle job, when he (according to the sun - to what ever degree you can take their shit for real), doesn't reject the prospect of managing Portsmouth ?! Jiminez resigned, the papers running with the story that he saw no point in continuing in his role as the club was for sale. And I'm pretty sure Mort always said he would be going to go back to Freshfields. Not a fan of Llambias and he is paying for his lack of communication but no doubt he has the experience to run the comercial side. As for wise, I don't think he can be called a scout, he has a lead role in negotiations with clubs and players according to Llambias for a start. I think calls for a figurehead on the footballing side are spot on by the way. Leave Llambias to sort the pies and Wise to bring in the kids and deal with player negotiations and get someone in to tie it all up with experience to help with the big footballing decisions such as managerial appointments, and who is comfortable talking to the press and supporters. A pretty good role for Shearer or maybe even Moncur (sadly not Robson now). /Don't even think about Beardsley or MacDonald... -
At the end of the day whoever makes us look silly is neither here nor there. Only Ashley can pay the bills or invest in the squad. NUSC can't do it and they can't provide anyone else who will either. They can't provide change, that is why the best they can hope to achieve is voluble protests which is what they are doing. No they aren't. They're promoting membership. I'll repeat... "I've approached the NUSC on a couple of issues and they've always been very useful in pushing forward my complaints. Those were grafitti, heavy handed stewarding and delayed refunds." People need to disaccossiate the NUSC from Ashley bashing i think it's NUSC who need to disassociate from Ashley bashing. Perhaps they do need to emphasise more of the other stuff they've been set up for. I think an unenthusiastic view of the ownership is warranted though, and shared by the majority of the fan base. I've not seen them advocate protests or boycoutts once though. So they're hardly to plame for the painted bedsheet brigade. You what? One of the few things they actually decided on in one members meeting since the group was formed was the continuation of boycotting merchandise and drink/food outlets on matchday. A bloody rediculous thing to do imho.

Llambias Q&A with Chronicle: OP updated with Thursday's articles

A few months, come on, it was a year and a half wasn't it. He did very well as player-manager, manager, and youth development at both Millwall and Swindon as well as leeds iirc. How much are we actually paying Wise as a director of football, is it something daft like £2m per year? Thing i found most strange was Llambias description of what Dennis Wise does because what he described was basically a chief scout!!!!!! No club in the world pays anyone £2m per year for a chief scout. He wasn't with Kinnear, Ashley and Llambias last week at the training ground for the laughable attempt to make a breakthru in the transfer market so once he finds players he mustn't do the negoiating on the deals. Which again just points to him being a scout not a DOF. Why in his role of Director of Football as he not looked to replace our reserve team coach, Adam Sadler was given the boot along with KK and Terry Mac and the club have left Richard Money looking after both the reserve team and the academy. Just another sign of the mismanagement and poor running of this football club by the current regime. Llambias said specifically today that Wise (while having some role finding and recomending players) does indeed also do the negotiating, all Ashley and Llambias do at that stage is say yes or no when he pushes them for more money. As for the £2 million, I have no idea whether this is true (the only figure I have seen was 1.2 million or something but who the ferk knows) but I would doubt it. What amount of money would you be happy with? And Wise' role in appointing coaches, I dunno. Surely if anyone was to appoint coaches for the academy it would be Joe Joyce as academy director. Otherwise, while Money seems the main man, the youth and reserve personel seem pretty fluid. Calderwood took the reserve match this week to check out the seniors coming back probably, but what is Whartons role? Wharton is one of the Academy coaches, under 18's i think. , Money came in as the director of football, not even sure if Joyce is still at the club, he wasn't involved in the youth cup games, so if he's with the academy he's working with the younger kids, maybe under 16's or even younger but since Sadler went Money has been running the academy and taking the reserve games. Calderwood stepped in to take the reserve game but it was because Money was on a scouting trip not because they were checking the seniors coming back. JFK and Hughton watch every reserve home game anyway. Cheers for that. Just checked on .cock and Joyce would appear to still there thankfully so maybe Money has been moved up to the reserves full time? I agree we can always do with more people and hopefully things will become clearer as to the set up in the summer (still not sure what Elliott role is tbh), but they seem to be a good bunch working at those levels these days. -

Did you actually read any of that? I am struggling to find any lies, very few genuine contradictions (even then they come by word of mouth from Kinnear, not Ashley) and certainly nothing that is malicious or taking the piss or cannot be explained or put down to the usual changes of circumstance. Get a grip.

Hughton and Calderwood 'will continue to take charge of first team'
BottledDog replied to jimmymag's topic in Football
I'm upset about the fact that the club just blew off a golden opportunity to amicably cut ties with Joe Kinnear and appoint a manager that's actually qualified for the job that can save us from relegation in the short term and offer some mid-table stability for a few years. Who the f*** was talking about CL qualification? Instead, they've chosen to take a massive gamble on our Premiership status by leaving us effectively managerless until the end of the season, all because they're desperate to offer a long term contract to a manager who's not only f***ing s***, completely insane, and utterly out of his depth, but who also shouldn't be doing the job for his own health's sake. What about that decision makes sense to you? I'd really like to know. Nothing about the decision makes any sense to me! I never said that. All I said was, what or who the hell were people expecting us to bloody employ? Guus Hiddink? Phil Scolari? Do you really believe that Ashley thinks Kinnear is a better manager than those two? Do you really believe Ashley continues to employ Kinnear because he thinks he's the dog's bollocks of football management? Besides. I'll think about maybe busting a nut when the club confirm via the official website that Hughton is in charge for the rest of the season, with NO new manager coming in, and that Kinnear has in fact signed "the contract" and will be staying on for 2 more seasons. I wasn't expect Scolari or Hiddink. What I was expecting was having a manager at all. There are plenty of managers out there currently with a Championship club or unemployed that we could bring in to keep us up and give us stability for a couple of years. The fact that they didn't even try was worse than criminal. You know that Kinnear will sign the contract on his hospital bed and will be here for the foreseeable future. That's the only logical explanation. Ok mate. Give me a link to where it states for a fact that "they didn't even try". Thanks. I'm sure they approached plenty of managers in the 24 hours since they realized Kinnear had to have surgery before reaching their decision to do nothing. Yes 24 hours. 24 fucking hours and you are outraged that we might be anouncing that we are to appoint CH as caretaker. We have a fella with a heart condition who may or may not be going into surgery tomorrow and I for one wouldn't be the heartless fucker who you suggest should have sat by Kinnears bed and demand he resigns or is sacked to 'amicably' cut ties. Christ, of course CH will be in charge, and over the coming days or weeks maybe it will be decided that we have to bring in other people, maybe a new manager if one can be found. But this outrage that Chris has taken charge when we should be ripping apart the management and backroom staff again after 24 fucking hours, and to top it all, that that somehow that confirms that we are intent on having JFK here long term is just rubbish. Rubbish.
