  1. Your happy, just above relegation? Relevant? yes. What has our disappointing league position got to do with his views on NUFC?
  2. Your happy, just above relegation? Relevant?
  3. I've always found that argument laughable as f***. If I've arrived 10 minutes late, I'd like to know the score without having to ask people around me. If somebody's scored while I'm off at the bathroom, I'd like to know as well. The whole "if you can't pay attention you shouldn't be here!" thing has always seemed like one of the most ridiculous parts of the Geordie soopafan myth to me. Stadiums should have scoreboards. It's not tinpot it's common sense. And as if you'd not know if someone scored when you were having a piss. Tbf got 'a little distracted' and somehow hadn't noticed our second against Sunderland had been chalked off for an embarrassingly long time.
  4. "Doing something" is not, in itself, necessarily constructive. The people who come out with this one are invariably those who think that what they're doing is the right thing. Doing absolutely nothing will merely encourage those in control to carry on with the current way things are being run. The people who say nothing should be done, or that doing something will be harmful to the club are invariably those who are happy with the status quo. I am not particularly happy with the status quo, but what is the point of agitating without any solution? Have the NUSC actually put forward a more effective plan than Ashley's which I can get enthusiastic about? Would love to see their solution though I won't be holding my breath for anything better than holding onto the idea that some rich arab can somehow be courted. I think they would be hard pushed to come up with any plan better than the one Llambias seems to be outlining tbh. Logically it is the most sensible strategy as far as I can see, though the factor that will see it ultimately succeed or fail will be the caliber of manager on the football side we are able to secure.
  5. Why do you keep saying this despite people telling you that we were "told" no such thing?
  6. Yup, a good watch, and his english while a little confused, seemed remarkably good tbf.
  7. Nah, far too lazy for that and to be honest it would need an editor to hack away at it as it is quite long and unreadable in parts. Heh, fair play, though it makes a damn sight more sense and is a good deal more constructive than the majority of the stuff NUSC gets in the press to be fair.
  8. How HTT, have you put your open letter out to any of the papers or even NUSC? Must be worth a shot.
  9. What interview was that from? Ah well, it would make sense. There you go Wyn, no lies, just a Kinnear brain fart.
  10. All quiet at the moment but guess Llambias' interview may answer some questions. What did he actually promise to do? Got any quotes from Ashley?
  11. No idea Indi. Best take a placard that will say 'down with this sort of thing' to cover all bases. http://www.channel4.com/video/images/mb/Channel4/video/clip%20images/Father_Ted/Father_Ted_001_003_002_001.jpg
  12. Bless, little boy lost eh. What a fucking gimp.
  13. I'm sure that would be breaking the contract and if we did that the players could become free agents, at a guess. If things are as bad as they seem, and we havent a bean to our name, then drastic measures are called for. Like stopping all this boycott palaver that people think is helping the club by hurting Ashley. No, its' hurting the club. /Sorry Robster, not aimed at you, just tried randy bollocks. fyp. Fair enough, everything once as they say. http://mcb.berkeley.edu/labs/heald/Hall%20of%20Fame/images/delicious_JPG.jpg Delicious!

Please don't give Kinnear a new contract, please don't give Kinnear a new contract, please don't give Kinnear a new contract, please don't give Kinnear a new contract, please don't give Kinnear a new contract, please don't give Kinnear a new contract, please don't give Kinnear a new contract. Pretty please.
  15. Well Ashley thought it could work, maybe along the lines of QPR or something. Considering the likelyhood that outside of a fairytale Sheikh or Oligarch, the only people likely to have the funds to run the club would be your random consortium of Nigererian/Asian/American businessmen or a shadowy hedge fund anyway, it might not have been the worst option. And as I say, I think Ashley was probably desparate for some outside investment just to keep the likes of Keegan and Shay etc on board.
  16. Yup, actually publicly admitted the need for futher (local if possible) investment. He said he didn't want out, but would happily share the club with someone willing to put in further funds to get the better players in. It was either a desperate plea or a rally cry to local businessmen. Either way noone answered the call, and then of course the Keegan thing happened (which may well have been triggered by this lack of extra funding for the transfers coming in).

  18. I might be wrong but I'm sure he said that he would put the money in, I can't remember him saying that it was specifically for transfers. You are wrong. No, you are wrong. Well there's an article that says otherwise, in an NUFC publication, with Mike Ashley's words. But saying that, NUFC are denying their own publications with regards to KK's constructive dismissal claim arent they. Not my job. You are the one accusing him of of saying things with nothing to back it up. I'll have a Come on. As his few words are dissected to bits, it shouldn't be to hard for you to find the quotes. Ive looked on the forum where I initially posted the scanned article, I couldnt find it, if you have the quote post it. I wouldn't be arguing with you if I had the quote, and clearly others have not come accross it either. I'm genuinly interested. You accuse him of saying these things but have nothing to back it up so far. If I could find the scanned article I'd have posted it by now, someone will have it, its just one example of the many in it anyway, Im still amazed by the apologists attempting to split hairs anyway. Apologists splitting hairs? Flippin' nora, I am interested whether he actually said what you are accusing him of saying. There is a massive difference between him saying he was willing to plough £20 million a year into the club (which in the accounts has now run to £30 million), and whether as you would have us believe, he said that there would be £20 million for transfers (on top of any subsidy if the club failed to break even).

  21. Bingo. I thinks we can all agree on this one. Sort it out HTT.

  23. ...and don't complain when we then can't afford to bring in players on decent salaries in the future. /the odd pint, but haven't bought a pie or anything else in the ground for an age tbf //but that's just me being a tight bastard :-[
