  1. The next logical step. A supporters panel, headed by Frank fucking Gilmour.
  2. Thats just playing the sympathy card Sympathy card? It's the fucking truth.
  3. Let's hope not. The cult of personality, Shearer, Keegan, whoever, while I too love it and feel it is part of what makes the town buzz on a saturday, is really starting to get to me. I'm not sure all the nonsense peddled in the papers that we only need a Geordie or someone who 'truely understands the club' helps the club in any way, and has been a shadow over incoming managers for far too long.
  4. He probably thinks there will be protests if he doesn't bring keegan back. And he'd probably be right. 'You've fucked us over, we thought you'd bring back the messiah...etc....'
  5. Dear Dave, We are looking for a replacement. Will update you as and when we appoint someone. Cheers, Mike That do?
  6. Cheer up. Bassong seemed particularly perky today in his interview and according to CH the training went well, so I'm not sure how you know for sure there is low moral in the sqaud. As for 'knowing' some of our players wanting Wise and Ashley out, I take it this is based purely on Ngo Baheng joining a facebook group? I'm not trying to back up what Mr S here is saying but Hughton is hardly likely to say, "oh training was an absolute disaster, everyone was moping around because KK has gone". Take what hughton says here with a pinch of salt, the training probably wasn't a disaster but if you think the players are uneffected by KK's departure, then I'm sorry but you are living in cloud cuckoo land. I am not argueing that they have no been affected (of course they will have been), but we have no way of knowing to what extent and based on interviews today it seems that they are doing their best to move forward. I was simply taking issue with someone who somehow knows for sure that they have a low moral, and knows that some players want the owners out based on sodding facebook.
  7. Why rush it anyway. Get the right man in.
  8. Go have a read of the Ambani thread. It looks as if Ashley has made it perfectly clear ot them he's not selling. Where in that thread does it look as if Ashley has made it perfectly clear ot them he's not selling? Dont tell me you were taken in by the aborted Rick'roll.
  9. What £10,000,000 on staff payouts? They've all walked haven't they?

  11. half decent team isn't good enough. Keegan broke the record transfer fee for the club for a defender when he bought Darren Peacock, in fact. He also did it again when he bought Warren Barton. Gullit paid big money to buy Marcelino and Goma when the club needed defenders. Then they did it again when they bought Woodgate. Didn't stop them buying strikers and forwards as well. But continue defending the fat b****** for all that your'e worth and ignoring these facts. Why did we sell Woodgate then if it wasn't a good deal? Or Les Ferdinand for that matter? I seem to remember a certain "fat b******" chairman describing both deals as exactly that. Les Ferdinand was sold before your scrapegoat was chairman. And Woodgate was a good deal. If you are trying to say the club didn't back its managers, then your on a different planet. Aside of this, you'll never get it, until one day you are looking at a half empty ground of a club that sells its best players. And even then, you'll never admit that you were wrong. Mike Ashley is running this club into the ground, and its extremely sad that people like you have not seen the blindlingly obvious. He doesn't care about the club, and doesn't particularly want to be successful on the pitch, so long as he makes a profit from ticket sales, player sales, TV Revenue. etc etc. Wake up and smell the coffee. Woodgate was sold late in the window and not replaced until January...what's to say Keegan wouldn't have got his Milner replacement in a similar fashion? If I remember rightly, keegan said exactly that. If they didn't manage to use the money in this window, they will do thier best in the next. In fact he made a point of highlighting the similarities of the Andy Cole deal as a reason to trust him over the Milner sale.
  12. To be fair If I see Ince im going to bloddy plead he doesnt take the job if he is offered it. With you there, not a fan of the bloke, and there's no way he deserves the job. But to call on all managers to boycott the club? That's really going to help us move forward. :-[
  13. http://toon-talk.net/home/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=68&Itemid=56 Oh great, now people are speaking for the rest of us and pleading with Ince and any other potential manager to turn down the job 'for the sake of our club'. No money for the clubs coffers, boycotts and now driving away any future manager for the club, christ, this is fucking nuts. People really do want the club to implode.
  14. He NEVER talks about Newcastle United. Have you ever heard him? I have never heard him talk about Newcastle United. He has had plenty of interviews regarding Newcastle, but if you want him on a radio phone in or on Sky Sports, no, you're absolutely right. But if you want to take this as him seeing you as a cry baby and an irrelevance then I would first challenge you to find me such video or audio from any owner of any of the big clubs.
  15. One of his employees found it impossible to continue to work alongside/under some of his other employees at the club, arguably rightly took the moral high ground, and walked. A cancer that needs cutting out? Jesus wept. OK Bottledog, I suppose we can count you out! Well yes, born coward, but just see most of the non verbal forms of action suggested as causing us more unnecessary turmoil. I have no doubt Ashley can see the uproar that Keegans percieved push from the club has caused and knows that he either has to move forward and make a success of it to survive, or walk. If there is no better buyer in the wings and he does the later, then I just don't see how continually attacking him and causing further financial and emotional strain on the club helps. Can you elaborate on born coward? Well maybe I did myself (it was not a slight towards you) a disservice. I just don't like to cause ructions where I feel there is no great benefit (to myself, or in this case, the club).

  18. Quite, why would they. They'd have to be extremely wary that there's every chance they would end up just as crucified as Ashley for an investment that is never going to make you much money, so if not for fun, is all about brand recognition or prestige. Massive gamble as far as this club is concerned.
  19. Because he is foreign and a friend of Dennis Shite? Guessing it's more likely that Big TRon thinks he is a promising coach already in posession of a good knowledge of the English game at all levels, who would fit into the current structure of the club well without any further upheaval. That said, I can't really speak for him. You might be right.
  20. Aye, his £50 million spent at Man City brought in some amazing players.
  21. In this dream of yours, who is this new chairman and what exciting manager is he thinking of bringing in? Paul Jewels sister knows Theo Paphitis. Could be a goer.
  22. Based on? Never managed in the PL for a start. This isn't the time for an exotic coach, the rest of this season will become backs to the wall stuff very quickly. He won;t know what to do. IMO the time to expriment with a coach like Zico is when everything else is in place and that certainly isn't the case with us. His assistant will be absolutely vital, and I believe the board will be looking to keep Houghton on board, who is very experienced in this league. We need to stop playing it safe, it's time to take a risk. I don't think our team is so poor as to be threatened with relegation, so lets go for it. There are no outstanding, prem experienced candidates out there. Accept your point about the assistant. In our situation I'd prefer Bilic. Fener are a wildly rich club quoted on the Turkish stock market with a value approaching 2 billion dollars or summink. And the have made the step up to solid CL performaces recently under Zico...Might just be the wrong time to hire him is all I'm saying. So when is the right time? Bilic doesn't want the job.
