As long as we still have the best raids I'm not bothered. -

Agreed. Especially as pre Keegan we were on a fair way down the road to oblivion, not a Premier league team looking for an instant return to the top tier.

Well it's useful but compared to being in the EU it's small fry. Don't get me started on the EU...have you seen how much we pay INTO the thing every year and how much the red tape these bureaucrats produce costs UK business..? 120 BILLION is the latest estimate. Anyway, this site is about FOOTBALL - not politics. Agreed, but there is an EU thread in General Chat that could do with some positive Brexiting stories if you have 'em. Glad that Stifler has seen that Ashley's towers won't necessarily block future expansion. Shit that the club won't benefit at all from these plans though.

Wait... he can't leave! He's due a testimonial soon.

Just Ray Winstone's massive face. Then "Gambling" on one sleeve. "Responsibly" on t'other.

http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/michael-owen-poses-after-signing-for-newcastle-united-at-st-james-on-picture-id53566802 Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It was some signing at the time. Cant remember this many turning out when we signed Daryl Murphy like. True enough. We were on our downward slope even then but as supporters we were not giving up on it yet. Amazing what real hope gives to a club.

And Liverpool were barely interested and didn't come close to matching our offer for him, but yeah, other than that, true enough.

He'll take us up out of a loyalty he sees to the fans and then walk in the summer if they're pulling this s*** again. Pardew back. If Ashley did that, I would NEVER cross the portals of SJP again...even if they got Mourinho to take over after ANOTHER relegation battle. The club would be a joke and quite rightly the butt of every fan in the UK. If Rafa leaves because of interference, it should be total war against Ashley until he leaves. You always say everything overboard when it comes to football.

Aye... I'm drunk. Point still stands.

Knowing how soft the country and the game has gone now it will probably be for something like that Probably... the wet c***. What is your trigger point in these PC dominated times? Lets play a game and see if we can get to your tipping point. I have had the whole forum at me at once and it's still not my tipping point and I always stand by my views Fair play, and it's admittedly difficult considering I'm not face to face with you, but happy to start with your mum or your race. Your pick? /lets be honest, anything not face to face is a bit weak. Maybe that's why you find it difficult to empathise.
