  1. Good point. I see Sky Sports News bigging the whole thing up, money grabbing twats that they are.
  2. Imaging a club winning the title or being relegated abroad by the extra 3 pts from these games? Would be hell on.
  3. You have to wonder about the character of a player that employs a snake like Willy McKay as his agent. Willy McKay must be able to sell 'Granny does Granddad - no teeth part 2' on a poor VHS copy for $1,000 to Gary Glitter because everyone who hasn't met him personally thinks he's a money grabbing twat. Maybe that appeals to some footballers, personally if i was any kind of management within a club i wouldn't go near any of his players and would threaten to sell any current staff associated with him. He's a disease in football, that's for sure.
  4. Abroad and decent money, he can go. No point keeping an unhappy player, shame, he could of been a hero here, but it just shows how thick and docile he is by having his head filled with shite from his agent.
  5. Yes we should all prove we have a proof of ownership of a season ticket and be allowed access with a password into a locked area where from the outside all the plastic fans can wonder whats inside Forum name: You don't know what your doing Password: Boooo!

    Michael Owen

That is way, way over the top, verging on the absolute bollocks to be honest. Im not his biggest fan, and dont think he offers a lot to the team overall, but in terms of predatory instincts he is world class. There arent any better than him in the game at timing his runs, and he does finish a lot of his chances. You only have to look at the past few games where he's been incorrectly ruled offside against Arsenal and Man Utd. IMO he has been getting sharper with each game since his return, and will improve (as long as he stays fit). He's never going to be the type of player to take on men and run around all day, he's about waiting and timing, but that doesnt make him lazy. That's pretty over-the-top yourself, given his showings this season. I cant recall him missing numerous sitters or good chances. Im not saying he hasnt missed any but you seem to be making out he's had lots of chances handed to him. Dont get me wrong I'm not the biggest fan of him and would sooner have a player that offers more to the team, but that post IMO was way over the top. id like to know how many chances in the box he has had in the last 6 games, as you say cant think of many misses, except that one yesterday when it was cut back to him If he he'd used this so-called world class movement/pace he'd have had more chances. He's had plenty of chances anyhow. You gotta have the service in the first place, and no one said anything about pace. I did. There has been service. When he was out for a while, people were saying "Owen would have buried that had he been given the chance..." and he has been given chances. They were hardly on a plate for him, but if he's got brilliant movement, they don't have to be right there on a plate for him do they? He's fannied around with several half/good chances. I'll say it again though. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, in the (slim) hope that he could still do very well for us if Keegan sorts him out. Martins gets bollocked for missing a chance he created by himself, Owen gets off scott free for not putting away chances simply because he cannot create his own anymore, though lack of ability and lack of effort. That never used to be the case, he was a good provider for himself, when he could be arsed.

You can go two ways after serious injuries, you can go Alan Shearer or Robbie Fowler, Owen is the new Fowler. Lazy attitude, lazy professional, no nearly bothered enough about being on top of his game. Passenger, an expensive one at that.

Owen is finished as a top level striker, he's an average premiership striker at best. Said it before, Owen needs new legs, a new heart and to be made bankrupt before he can find himself as a footballer again.
  9. That's one skinny arm like.
  10. ST holders should have their own forums, they pay enough money to have some kind of benefit, its the least we can do for them. Poor sods.

Godsmark & LuaLua seems to get a lot of praise, granted they are both 17 now, but only just. Don't think anyone is pinning any hope on any of our youngsters, we just wish them well and love it when one breaks through. When was the last time an English Arsenal, Manu, Liverpool or Chelsea Youngster broke through to the 1st team and stayed there? I can't think of any massive examples off the top of my head, nothing is really standing out. PS: I thought Ben Tozer had played for the U17's?
  12. I just hope were not saying the same thing after the next window closes, I'm sure we won't be, but the next 3.5 months of football are unimportant, its just something we have to go through to get to the summer. Come the summer we have no Euro 2008, i suppose we, the fans and management can solely use it for window shopping, but in terms of getting into something, something we can enjoy and want to be part of, we'll now have to wait until next season to get it. Pisses me off though that one or two signings could have changed that, but we'll never know now, what we do know, is the team as it is is not good enough, and we are going to struggle for the rest of this morbid season. Limp to the finish line that's all we've got in us, and when we try and get players in it will show we limped there, nothing will have changed, another season down the pan, excitement and the chance ignite this season could of come relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things, which ever way we look at it not buying anyone in the window sets us back 7 months, 7 months of starting something, now we sit knowing were shite, and have nothing concrete to look forward too as no fuker knows how the next window will pan out. All in all, not impressed at all with how its turned out, a brighter future through, the one were all pinning our hopes on is fuking miles away, and no matter how much you try and lie to yourself (you know who you are) this window was a shambles and as put the club on dodgy ground.
  13. I'd stick Cacapa or Geremi or even Barton in centre mid ahead of Butt. Butt should never play for the club again unless we cannot field a starting XI Beye--Faye--Taylor--Enrique needs to be played as much as we can for the rest of the season.
  14. Allardyce telling Coppell he needs to change his away form by selecting a different formation.
  15. I heard booing at HT, but i thought it was the boro fans as it was drowned out by polite applause and mostly groans. I see SA is still on SS1, lasted longer than i thought.
  16. Cacapa 3? have a word 2 then. I think he was implying that you increase the rating. You really are a thick aren't you? horror.... he follow you everywhere perhaps he is one of your ex-boy lover Can't be, your the only ex-boy lover that i never killed and buried under the patio. AAArgghh.... it still pain in the arse.... everytime i remember you... dear! What can i say, girth's a killer.

  18. Barton in for Butt, Faye in for Cacapa. I know Barton isn't strictly a holding player, but Butt isn't really much of a footballer in the last few months, i think he's lost it. Geremi, maybe KK can get something out of him?

  20. Given 5 Carr 5 Taylor 6 Cacapa 3 N'Zogbia 6 Barton 5 Butt 3 Emre 6 Duff 7 - MOM Smith 5 Owen 6 Ref 1
