On 1st glance it looks extremely poor from us. When you dig a bit it seems to be more around timing than anything else. However due to our ownership it looks bad from the off, and IMHO, should have been anticipated from the off. We did it last year. Ladies have done it. PL may have stitched us up here with no representation due to timings, club could have took it in their own hands and made their own statement now and bigger one for villa. I think the quality is there in the championship, the issue is there are no complete teams this year. All seem to be work in progress, unfinished projects. Which means there are lots of teams which can do damage to others, but also have it inflicted upon them. It's why there are so many teams in touching distance and the points spread out. You'd expect 2 or 3 teams to pull away around Xmas, but with the WC interfering you might actually see even more disruption to the flow and certain teams still not get going. This could mean a well drilled and balanced team could fly up the league and challenge where they shouldn't for a longer period of time than expected. It's an interesting league. It has quality in it, just it's spread out and there are no teams which tick all the boxes.

Tbf he's been doing the job of about 10 people on a 10th of the wage of one role. Just look at all the people we've brought in to replace him. Had he been 1 person in that 10 he could have been quite capable (personality aside) for a low end prem club.
