If we're not spending any more money this window I'd certainly take a look at barkley on a 1 year deal with option to extend now he's been released by Chelsea. Got to be better than Longstaff in mid, and cover for shelvey.

Can't believe they are whinging at Tony Mowbray. Aye its not inspiring but fuck me, they usually go for much worse. Unfortunately I think its not just a safe appointment, but could come good like AN before him. He managed Blackburn to 8th, and halfway through the season they looked like knocking on the door of the Prem, but a Diaz injury derailed it, but still, they put up a good fight. They're also having a good go at the board, but tbh, they could do very little in circumstances. AN insisted the same clauses applied, so always had an eye on the door. In a few days they've managed to secure his replacement, who is in the same ballpark quality wise. Last time they took 3 weeks and were lucky it didn't derail their season. Lessons learned and a quick replacement in and there's still no satisfying them. IMHO Mowbray it too good a manager and person for the job. It really is mad how they perceive themselves and their stature in the game.

I'm not attached to him as others are on here. He was a solid keeper under Rafa, who's form tailed off under Bruce. Every injury he came back worse, then since the Euro's has been a liability. It's taken to see what a proper goalkeeper looks like in our team for others to switch on. He doesn't have the time or the mental attitude to try and challenge for his place, and I can guarantee the period Pope would pick up a knock for us, Dubs would be a game or two behind. I actually though Darlow did well the other night, and I don't rate him at all. Maybe Howe has seen Darlow Vs Dubs in training and Howe doesn't see too much in it, which could easily be the case if Dub's heart isn't in it, as even when it is, he's not good enough.

We've now had Citeh, warming up, partner in labour, anything but just saying aye, it was Tranmere and admitting it was a bit of a stinker to bring him on.
