At 19/20 and scoring goals? Twice as many as our record signing, joint 2nd top goal scorer. (god it’s tragic) It’s not player now I’m worried about losing for free, it’s what he becomes in the future. We also can’t go out and buy 24 foreign superstars. We need home and grub grown players in the squad. It could be years before we get anything as good as the longstaffs coming through.
-
He’ll go straight on loan to Watford and then move the season after permanently. It’s just a way for Watford to sign him without having to pay compensation.

Not a single dissenting voice when this was first announced? but i make one comment on the SAME FUCKING THING, palnese gets his pearls clutched so tightly he's cutting off the circulation to his hand, and suddenly i want every single season ticket holder to be penniless? what a fucking joke. That's the last I'll say on the matter. Cute gang attack though. Cv19. Taking money off fans for nothing in return in this current economical climate is terrible. Normally I'd also think well its their own fault for putting money in to Ashley's pocket but that football shit doesn't matter too much now, money in pockets, food on tables are priority. If you can't see that, then KI doubles down then expect the floodgates to open. It doesn't really need to be doubled down on tbf. CV-19, the support package, and lock-down all started before the date of those posts. It was all just kicking off at that time, no one really knew where this was all going, how long and what the future would look like. Months in things have change, we're cv19 vets now and the feeling has changed dramatically, especially for something like football, it's really not important and priorities lie elsewhere. March seems like a lifetime ago. I was at work, in amongst people, ffs.

Maybe if we're relegated as well. It's mad to think he turned down the mackems because they wouldn't pay his hotel room for when he travelled up for talks and now he's got a real chance of playing Premiership football. Another kick in the bollocks for them. Bless.

Tbf they probably deserve their club to go the way of Bury for buying a season ticket.

Who knows, maybe the mess is being sorted out now after the PL rejected it? I think that becomes a more likely possibility with each passing day. People keep saying chill, we're a day closer but there's a good chance its over and everyone is planning on how they save face.
-
Agree, obviously the PL have had a lot to deal with but it's staggering that they potentially haven't given an accurate timeline on when it will be done. The owner and seller are both stuck in limbo with hundreds of millions of pounds involved. And the PL are just like "speak to you later!". Something in the end has to give. Either it goes through or there is a whole mess that will need sorting out, most likely in a court of law and with very expensive legal teams. Yoyd think by 8 weeks in one of the parties would try and apply pressure to speed things along.
-
And the PL won't be bothered. Thry will be when they are at least sued for £17m. I'm sure both parties could find other losses to account for.
-
At some point the buyers have to say enough is enough, you're now impacting our business plan, we're losing out on targets and even managerial candidates. Equally Ashley could be investing that money in to rescuing businesses and potentially saving jobs but can't because the PL are moving at a snails pace.

Imagine being that cunt.

They are standouts, and would make it in today's game, most simply wouldn't (same for most 90s players) Everuthing has moved on, you'd have top class defenders like Tony Adams drunk 5 days a week and boss it with a hangover, now it's fitness, data analysts, dietitions etc...Shearers professionalism and training set him apart from others and it milked his talent to max capacity, that is thr rule these days not the exception. Players just weren't as good back then, and go back further, thry lose their edge simply as the base standard of thr athlete is much higher today than yesteryear.
-
Defenders weren't as good and neither were managers tactically.
-
Wey that's killed the thread.

Pass has someone being posting something they shouldn't have. Been away for an hour and it's gone not even shown as locked? I never saw something in there that shouldn’t be in there, besides they can easily delete posts instead of the thread. Wasn't someone who was actually in the know?
-
Who do you think top end players will want to come here and play for more, Rafa or poch?
-
Still owed £48m in transfer fees plus the profit made, we're in a good position for the football apocalypse, even if the takeover didn't happen.
-
We will be playing football before the takeover in announced
-
If they have the rights then it makes the fa look totally incompetent and with an agenda to derail the takeover.
-
Don’t do drugs kids ;D Tbf he’s been right More than those paid to be.
-
Woooohoooooo!!!!! gif time. Or not.

Absolute nonsense thread. Things like this shouldn't just be accepted and rushed through just to help the mental health of Newcastle fans Absolute nonsense post. No it wont change nowt and they won't be concerned about nufc fans mental health, but they should be concerned with an owner taking fans money for no reason and not giving them any clue about whats going on. I understand your reasons behind not wanting it to happen etc but not everything the 'pro takeover fans' say is bollocks. That lads most definitely bringing to light a few things that need to be said with regards to staff and refunds. They should be concerned with the current cunt of an owner taking the piss out of fans and staff. 100%. Don't know how anyone can't see this.

Goes back to people's point that it wouldn't happen if it were Manu or one of the jewels. IDK, but their case gets stronger with dismissive comments like we've had today.
