I’d imagine it’s already done and this is the next step. One final push and it’s out. I'm unsure about that, work isn't going on as normal currently. I’m inclined to think the hard work is done, and it’s all formalities now. If PL clearance has been done and the buyer have now decided to submit the official deposit before purchase then you’d think a fee is agreed and it’s a case of formalities. All key decisions have been made. That’s how I look at it anyway. That's true, but haven't their been sale's agreed and setup previously in the past then fail at this stage, although has anyone ever failed that test. Lots of RB and pcp all over the documents. Imo they will front the directors test, pass, then pif come on board as an investor. As for failing, aye, it’s bollocks isn’t it? This is the part for me that’s got me going...

Looks like the deposit was made last Wednesday for £200k.

Been a lot of talk of deal agreed in principle as well. Seems like a lot of activity. Would tie in with timescale of passing PL owners checks. Could it be?

Why pay £8,5M for Bentaleb and let M.Longstaff go on a free? Give Matty what he wants and don't sign Bentaleb. That would save us £8,5M plus wages. Can't see Matty demanding more than Bentaleb is earning. Do we know what Matty wants in terms of wages? Rumour has it that he is currently on £850 a week, that equates to £45k a year which isn't too shabby. They haven't even contacted him once over negotiations so the club don't know what he wants.

Former Chelsea striker and manager Gianluca Vialli has been given the all-clear from pancreatic cancer. The 55-year-old ex-Italy forward said in 2018 he had recovered from cancer before announcing last year that he was dealing with the disease again. "Gianluca Vialli has been given the all-clear following a 17-month battle with pancreatic cancer," said Chelsea. "Amazing news." Vialli is currently working as part of the Italy national team set-up. As a player, he was at Cremonese and Sampdoria before moving to Juventus, where he won the Serie A title and the Champions League. Vialli joined Chelsea in 1996 and was named player-manager following the sacking of Ruud Gullit in February 1998. He went on to lead the Blues to victory in the League Cup, Uefa Cup Winners' Cup and Uefa Super Cup in the same year. He also guided Chelsea to victory in the 2000 FA Cup final and Charity Shield - now the Community Shield - but was sacked early in the season after a poor start. Vialli, who made 59 appearances for Italy, was in charge of Watford, then in the second tier, for the 2001-02 season but was dismissed after the Hornets only finished 14th. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52274079

Probably for the best. Let the excitement die down, see some action before going all in emotionally and potentially being burned ( like with Ashley or them down the road with The Don) Just think of what the 1st game of the season will be like and letting it all out then. Hopefully by then we’ve seen new owners, new manager and a few players worthy of the club.

Please don’t tell me to fuck off. Just like you, I’ll do as I like. Got a problem, IM me. . Happy to discuss in public cheers. And yes I have a problem. This place is friendly. Members telling each other to fuck off makes the place less positive. No need. You can clearly see what the OP is trying to do by separating out of the other thread, why ruin it? That being positive is it? Oh and show me where I told you to fuck off? Can’t remember quoting you in all this, but again all about the attention, aren’t you?

It's real and its happening. Just a shame the leaks came out and all the speculation followed. If that leak hadn't happened we'd be none the wiser and it would be like most high value acquisitions - going along nicely in the background without any public focus and at the pace suitable for both parties. This is the 'optimism' thread, so don't piss in it and tell us its wet. Kindly fuck off to another thread to be miserable/logical/whatever.

Tbf they are staying 2 leagues away from us.

Tbh I'm not too fussed what happens. I'm not really missing it much, probably because of our situation but it's been a welcome break from it all. However I do think bottom and top behind closed door playoffs for promotion and relegation would be a decent way of settling it all. Viewing figures would be huge, even starting down in conference working their way up.

Epic straw clutching.

That happened months ago.

One of the best £4£ signings in a long time. Do feel we need a young keeper who can push him, hopefully that's woodman next season.
-
Yeah I've seen em pop up on Facebook for around 30-50.

This'll go down well in chickentown... “Sunderland would be a complete irrelevance in the footballing world if it wasn’t for the Netflix show that we produced"

What happens to Bury if the season is written off? They allowed back in?
-
We'll have new owners before Liverpool next wins the Premier League. Certain of it

Jetro Willems (now playing for Deportivo Castellón)
Dokko replied to Newcastle Fan's topic in Football
Out for the season, loan ends, yet still think he'll be playing football for us again....and due to 'God's plan', he might just play again this season. -
I personally reckon it’s him speeding this up now. Offer was on the table at £340m once safety was confirmed. That can’t happen now and the value of everything has plummeted. He’s gone back to them and either dropped the price or a couple of those clauses holding shit up and that’s why it’s now been submitted from both sides to the fa. He’ll be desperate to sell. He’s lost a fuck loads of money and looks to lose more as this goes on. Retail was already on its arse and this could be the end of things as we know it. The uncertainty is huge and his company has never been as low value as it has now. Sure I seen on here his share is worth 600m...this club in its shit state worth half of that. He gets the sale of us and he either keeps it for personal wealth or puts it back in to SD and buys out 25% and takes it private again. Either way, aye...he’s done with us, this can’t move quick enough for him now.
