Tend to agree with this and I backed them to survive only last week having been burned so many times in recent years. I tell you one thing, I wouldn't want to be in the Championship next season. Not a chance. You'll have the three decent relegated sides coming down, a resurgent Villa who are going to end up a bit unlucky not to make the play offs this time, Norwich who are never down there long and three good teams who will miss out via the this years play offs. Fuck that. The Mackems won't come straight back up under Moyes imho. Add Reading, Leeds, Sheffield wed, Fulham with villa and Norwich, and probabl hull and Boro, all those teams will all end this season in better shape that they will. They could be down there for years.

The black cats have run out of lives. It's over. I wasn't sure, but can't see anything but relegation (if Swansea win today) and the death of the club in the Championship, maybe below. This is only the beginning of the end for them, much worse is to come.

Chambers Maguire Gibson Shaw in recent weeks, very good backline that.

It hasn't been great, the football, even for the most harden realist. Neesy is correct, momentum is key for promoted sides, once they run out its over. (Hull, Burnley, Blackpool) However we aren't the usual promoted side and should have more going for us when we do go back up. I think the way we're setup will benefit us going forward as we will be underdogs, especially from home, but Rafa could have opened up at home and made this season a lot more easier on the nerves. He didn't that's his choice, personally not best pleased as it shows a lack of flex, but least he has a game plan, and follows it. I'm happy he's here, he's the best manager we've had since SBR, its sparked a generation to care about the club again, but he's played this season wrong imo, he had so much more in him but played it safe. None of that matter if when we go up apart from one thing, momentum, again neesy is right, we may not have that when August comes round (we better have a squad that counteracts it is all im saying) 'Momentum' is another myth that needs binning. If you think you're to get a result v Chelsea on opening day next season because you jizzed all over Wigan and Burton Albion, and won the league by 30 points, you're in cloud cuckoo land. Toatal bollocks. See Burnley Vs Man utd, Hull under Phil Brown. Early momentum from being confident and on a buzz can win you matches, yes its not everything but every little helps. Recent example: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37067882 Burnley won that because they had a game plan which wasn't pretty, but they stuck to it, defended well, were compact and well organised, didn't make any errors and took their chances. They let us have the ball and we couldn't do much with it. These attributes might sound familiar to you. I That's their gameplan now and its not working. Case closed your honour.

I also get the picture as per last season he's a bit of of practice coaching relatively shite players and as a result shape and durability are key things. I'm sure he's rather us be playing better more attractive football if possible, but that's not the point, he's gone for the win, at least he knows how to win. Not being arsey, not sure what you are saying in that last part.

BTW some have accused me of being negative (and possibly dropped my arse) and that may be a fair accusation, but i'm a 10 today -

Sometimes your relentlessness tickles Genuine bar the fee. They're among the most pessimistic bunch of knackers I know mind. He's very much a bitter cunt regarding us too iirc. So was ginger jack, shit happens He was their best passer of the ball a couple of games ago, 40 odd passes with a 90% completion. something like 10 more passes than anyone else. Love the fact they think he's going to beak records for the most expensive GK in the world.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

True. It's tough to call like. Its a great mix of decently strong teams. Means those who go down (sunderland cough cough) will find those automatic places coming back up really fucking tough to pin down. -
Same height as Given. Football has changed. Most of the very best now are much taller. 6ft 4 plus. what does 2 inches matter like? (Don't ask your lass) You could be smaller but have longer arms, quicker reactions, more aggressive in a challenge or better judgement of the flight of a ball.

He's better than anything we've got. His distribution is tidy, very good shot stopper, probably England's No2 behind Butland over the next decade (unless someone else comes through) Pressure is untested. Need to see him with it on, as right now ok he's making good saves in a poor team, but what's he like where there are only a handful of key moments to make or break a match performance? That's the test he's yet to face and really where questions lie.

Pickford £15m. Sell Krul, Selz, & Darlow to pay for it.

Without really thinking about it that looks about it. -
Reet well off to RTG for a quick wank.

Awful set if results for then today. Swansea win tomorrow and it's curtains.

We don't have anyone better to come in, to be fair. We've only got Clark who stands out at this level. Mbemba looked canny at the level above. Maybe we're keeping him fresh for next season.
