Let's hope he stays the fuck out of it, tbh. Him staying out of it is exactly what we don't want. That's when people get in his ear or he starts to feel like he needs to do something. He can still be involved, listen to the plans, be educated and have his opinion, but ultimately let the football men do the action, he just enjoys the ride and keeps us financially competitive. I think it's finally hit him what a difference a decent manager can make. He thought it was all about the players, it's why he spunked £80m, hired Wally and went down after coming on to saying we'll make our own luck and bolt a horse to the cart. He thought that's what he was doing when really he needed a figurehead and build from there. That £80m this coming window is what he needs to do again, this time with someone with a plan in charge of it not just a collection of players with potential and no leadership.

As long as the prices are right, we'll do business. He does need reminding though prices have gone up quite a bit since we were last here, let's hope he's took it all in and is ready for the challenge.

You won't need to offer him £80kpw, he's on that now, but as soon as they go down his wage is cut in half and can leave on a free. The only way he earns what he does right now is if they stay up.

Rooney would be a great signing. He'll be looking for a club where he's either a big fish again or he'll bugger off to China for the money.

Mr. P Merson from drunksville dislikes this.

I'm supposed to be at the Bournemouth game, not sure how to react if we're up and they're all but down.

Best team not to be promoted?

Thought Giggs got the gig?

Anything other than 3pts is a total disaster & failure, regardless of other results. We don't win this game, we won't win again this season imo. However I think we will gain points on hudds. Fingers Fucking crossed.

Seemed a canny guy, very good defender at his peak. RIP.

Paddy Power fucking hate Sunderland

It's not the reason they are quick, but quickness is the reason they are more susceptible to this type of injury.

If we have two other fit centre backs I wouldn't play him for the rest of the season. Mentally he's shot, big weight on his young shoulders and he's struggling with the pressure, especially when it's crunch time and especially when it's going wrong. He needs to concentrate on his own game and relinquish the captaincy next season, but we need to bring in someone no one can have doubt about.

Gan on saggy face, one final swansong for the old Swiss bank account

Already have. 66-1 before this game. Where was that market? Sky bet, only put a fiver on it though. Also been betting on hudds/Brighton win and us draw/lose, tenner a time, another £80 in the back pocket should hudds hold on today. Easy money man,. That market wasn't open for me, had to settle on Hudds top 2 finish through Betfair. http://i65.tinypic.com/2hp3jae.jpg Everyone should put this bet on till the games run out. http://i68.tinypic.com/122gqva.png

Now I need to hold out my bottle on the cash out. Hmmm. Can feel derby getting a goal as well.

Rafa doesnt do gung ho football. 1 up top predictable line up only and forever. Will be very interesting to see how that formation lasts in the prem,if we go up? I just dont think we have the players to fit the formation Something he probably wanted to address in January. This is my issue with him though, he always wants new signings instead of adapting his tactics to the players at his disposal. It's absolutely staggering, that. 'Hmm, every cunt and his dog can see that we have no cunt capable of playing the #10 role, but I'm going to shoehorn a shit cunt in there regardless all season.' Yup. Might as well go for two strikers, at least that way when one is injured the other forgotten about one isn't so horrendously out of form he can't hit a cows arse with a tractor.
