  1. We may struggle to get 2 wins judging by last couple of games. You probably have to ignore yesterday when considering performances. Against Burnley, who you have to remember are a form side we put in a very good first half. You would have to believe at this stage that there is no reason that can not be transferred into a 4 to 5 wins at least, especially with Aarons, Abeid, Cisse, De Jong and Santon coming back, and perhaps more opportunities for Cabella under new management.
  2. I doubt Pardew has had any input on his release if true. By releasing him now rather than waiting for the new manager the club must feel confident that he isn't going to play or get a new contract, so better to get rid now than assigning the new manager with the responsibility - that wouldn't be a good start for whoever came in. So if he was going to be released anyway, it is a very good decision to do it now.
  3. Perez is what I'd imagine Kluivert to be like if he was transplanted with James Milner's brain. This lad will be one of the worlds best.

Maybe it is a code for Pardew is a load of shit.
  5. Hope we keep Freddy Woodman. Would they like Elliot?

When people wanted us to lose there looked like no hope. When the likes of Perez and Aarons broke through I wanted us to win again, but that does not mean I wanted Pardew here.
  7. I don't think though we will get a bad manager on an eight year contract though. A period of instability in management and results awaits, and whilst I'm sure we will continue to sign good players we may get a manager willing to use them properly. I'd expect now 2 to 3 managers over the next 3 years and hopefully continued frustration will see Ashley out of the door!

It would be great if once Pardew fucks off SackPardew.com release a statement saying that they will continue to highlight his failings as manager, and will work with fans of any club to hound him out of football altogether.

    Rolando Aarons

Obviously he wants to be paid what he thinks his quality deserves. I do think though there is an issue in players getting too much money and letting their career slip. I would welcome a u21 cap of say 10k, or maybe forcing all player to put anything above say 10k a week in pension funds until they retire.
  11. Wouldn't have Gouffran over him (as a winger) but without doubt I would have Cabella, Aarons and possibly Sammy over him. He has had the best moments of his career now. Thanks for the memories.
  12. This whole rangers thing is going to come and bite us on the arse one day. Just a case of when, not if.

    Rolando Aarons

I'd leave him until January tbh rather than rushing him back. He is too young and need to consider the next 10 years not the next 4 games.
  14. I think for a long time it have struggled to understand Pardew's footballing philosophy since Cabaye left (and possibly before) but I think it is really starting to become a little more consistent and coherent. This philosophy is a clear defensive, counter attacking game. As a Plan A, with no other coherent strategy this philosophy is our biggest Achilles heel. The system relies on confidence in defence, and confidence in attack. If both are good, we can win several games in a row against all kinds of opposition. But if the defeats start creeping in, a key player gets injured, sold or is just lacking form then it takes the whole team down with them and we can go on a run of negative results. Should the opponent get an early goal, we are liable to be thrashed. If we are ahead the opposition will be given time on the ball to attack out box, and that will often pay off. A visionary chairman would acknowledge that Pardew has in four years built a solid platform on a pile of sand, and would let a new manager to sort the groundwork out whilst retaining and developing the platform.
  15. Think I'm now at the point where I don't think we will be any better off with HBA. Yes he would be better under different management, but under that scenario I still think we would have better options in Cabella and Aarons and whoever else we may buy. We have seen him at his best, and it was amazing, but I'm moving on from it with good memories.
  16. No way Rivière would do well anywhere else. Without a doubt one of the worst players to cost more than £5m ever.
  17. I don't think we will be Ingterested
  18. I think it will be a miracle for him not to be manager next season now. More chance of us getting in Europe or winning the League Cup than him going this season in my opinion.
  19. I thought we were always better than QPR. I am pleased for the players, their effort and performances have deserved to see us in this league position.
  20. You would suspect the club haven't even been paying his wages because he is probably covered on the insurance
  21. I'm sure that if we paid Forest enough compensation we could have Lacelles back in our squad tomorrow. But we won't.
  22. Just as a comparison in sport: When Oscar Pistorius got his sentence, the Paralympics body said he won't be allowed to compete for his whole sentence, even though he gets out of jail in a year or so. Sport should take the same approach for all offenders.

It's ridiculous. Does Bishop do their PR too?
  24. He hasn't actually finished his sentence, and his family and girlfriend are still harassing the victim through social media, YouTube videos etc. that alone makes it impossible for me to give him any support.
  25. Let's revisit in 2024. We will know for sure then.
