Despite being reasonably reformed, Barton should never be allowed to captain a team again. Colo is a well respected member of the team with a lot of experience and has done a good job with Williamson. Deserved choice.

For us, at this moment in time, he's comfortable and solid in his role. I think Williamson's biggest strength is that he knows his weaknesses and has adapted his game to improve a defender and play for the team to the best of his ability. Which is the complete opposite to that prat Steven Taylor who is completely unaware of his own limitations and plays for himself without ever reaching his full potential.

He hasn't gotten shit, he was just never that good in the first place. In that season, Bassong was the charger, Colo was the sweeper, which meant it was often Bassong seen doing the bare minimum defensive job that you'd expect from any PL defender and therefore getting the praise for it. However he went to ground way too easily, and the penalties he gave away were a major contributor towards our relegation.

Tottenham - They are just like us really, but the media always take their side on everything, plus they now have Harry Redknapp. West Ham - Glenn Roeder brain tumour chants. Wolves - Just a bog standard bottom half club with a bit of history. Have a cock in midfield, but most clubs do tbh. Bolton - Improved from a few years ago, but still have the ghost of Allardyce looming over. Blackpool - could be worrying us in a few months. Villa - Taunted us on our relegation. Everton - Like Liverpool but with less class. Man Utd - Really respect Fergie, but their fans are spoilt brats. Liverpool - Have huge respect, but some of the recent stuff has knocked them down for me. So that leaves Arsenal who try and do football the right way, Fulham who never cause any controversy, and West Brom which is another friendly uncontroversial club.

To be fair to the FA, they tried doing Essien for a hard tackle the ref had incorrectly down in his report as a fair tackle, and FIFA threatened them with all sorts of sanctions. Sadly the FA are tied down by FIFA who have no sense. If Newcastle want some justice, they will have to take the legal route. That was almost 5 years ago that FIFA wouldn't allow the FA to take action, I think they might think again after what De Jong had done recently. It wouldn't hurt the FA if they referred this to FIFA to test the water. As has been mnetioned, FIFA didn't stop the FA when they charged Ben Thatcher after only originally being shown a yellow card.
