  1. OK, this idea will either fall flat on its face or take off, we'll have to see. The aim is to have a nostalgic look at the best Premier League players, including some that might not always be remembered in some of the usual dream team threads. Every few days, we'll have a new team, and people can look back at their Premier League record, and select a best XI for that team. I will look at the general concensus, and have a poll for any contentious positions. Once the forum agree to a dream team, I'll move on to the next, and once we get our teams, I'll put them into a poll play-off to see who you think is best. 2. Did anyone see in the first 20 minutes, Jonas goes on a run and ends up near the right wing before losing the ball. He then stops and adjusts his ponytail while Vidic stands on the ball less than 10 yards away, just waiting to pick out the pass. Vidic makes the pass, and Man Utd win the corner. Was a disgrace.

  4. Although if me and Yorkie both got it it probably isn't too good.
  5. Disappointed we didn't turn to one of the kids for the last 10-15 mins. Would be really good if Hughton turnedaround to one and asked them to show what they can do. With our thin squad we'll be using them, so we may as well given them some experience so they are more prepared for more crucial games to come.

    Set Pieces

Not much evidence he can take one. he might win some, but what is the point if we can't take one?
  7. One you'd expect him to make though. He should have been much closer to both goals. f*** off man, no chance with either. Could have done better for the first tbh.. No chance for the second.. Think he should have been closer to the second. And the third.

Worth a go when Perch is the alternative right back choice!

This season we are going to need someone who can take a good free kick or corner that is going to land on the head of Carroll and Nolan. A good set piece taker needs to come ahead of any other type of player. Any suggestions of someone we could sign? Or could a player we've got do that job? Or should we be looking at a different approach?
  11. What do any of our scousers bring to the party. Harsh on Gosling tbh. Not a scouser.
  12. We were OK in the first half but have fallen to pieces in the second half and I'm sure our lack of energy in midfield is a problem.
  13. If he hasn't signed for anyone, I think we should just spend 90 minutes chanting for Bellamy versus Villa.
  14. Not if he cant put a header in from 6-yards out. He's getting the chances and has proven that he can hit the net. Just like on that header there, good proof. I think he's played well, but he has to fucking finish that. Proved it last season. All strikers miss those kind of chances. As Andy Gray pointed out, it was his weaker side.

  16. Its the same problem of poor clearances and giving away free kicks. Jonas is a problem here as players like to pass to him as an outlet, only for him to do something stupid. If he wasn't there, a player might just lump it out for a throw and end all panic.
  17. I still think we can stay up with these players. We would be comfortable though if we sorted out left wing, central midfield and right back. Didn't want us relying on Ben arfa in the centre as I think he'd let us down there, but Jonas has singlehandedly talked me into having a punt on him on the left.
  18. Order of shitness: Perch Jonas Smith Nolan Harper Coloccini Barton Williamson Enrique Carroll Routledge
