  1. Right, had a nice cool drink to calm myself down. Sorry guys, sorry Mick. Bad evening. I'd start a thread about it but considering other threads of a siimlar fashion, i better not.
  2. I just don't like it when people try to twist your words and resort to personal attacks over a difference of opinion. Some posters on here, including thick Mick are like two year olds.
  3. Mick, you clearly don't understand the word murky even after I have explained it to you, as you still seem to think that I'm criticising the club. Let me try again: Murky = not clear, not transparent. With the claims and counter claims of Velez and Mallorca, the exact circumstances of this transfer is not clear. That doesn't at all mean that I'm unhappy with Newcastle's part in all this, in fact I'm pleased we've got the player (as long as he's any good), and I am in fact pretty pleased that we seem to be exploiting holes in the transfer market in a legal manner to get players on the cheap. Just to clarify, this transfer is murky. Not dodgy, murky.
  4. I thought Zog and Milner were both on £25,000k. That was the wage parity Taylor was supposed to be seeking.
  5. Looks like Harry-Norway has his 2008 Brede Hangeland!!!!!!!!!!!!??!!!!!!!!!!!?????? http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/07/04/magpies-on-the-trail-of-young-rosenborg-star-72703-21228344/
  6. A couple of rehashes of the agent's quotes that is all.
  7. tbh, if someone wants us enough to value us at £420m, he can have us. Ashley values us at £420m, he can have us, anyone else agree and can stump up, they can have us.
  8. Dont know why a serious investor would want to declare their intentions.
  9. So how is "This transfer is very murky?" His previous contracts will have nothing to do with the one we offer him. Do you not understand the word 'murky', or can you not read? Murky meeds non-transparent, and the player's situation certainly isn't transparent right now to the outside world, look at the facts: We supposedly believe that we have signed him fair and square. Mallorca believe that he has broken his five year contract and that he therefore owes them millions. Velez Sarsfield believe that Mallorca got him on a 50% economic rights deal where Mallorca had to buy all of him by July 1st. Hence they think that the player is 100% theirs, and thus Gutierrez's 5-year contract at Mallorca must be considered by Velez as void in the first place. Velez now want Gutierrez to report to training. If this transfer is transparent to you Mick, you must have x-ray vision.
  10. For the record, I don't think we have acted improperly at all, but over recent years I have found a few South American contracts odd, and a three year 50% economic rights loan with the player on a five year contract to which he is loaned to would take the biscuit if it wasn't for the Mascherano + Tevez contracts.
  11. What are you on about Optymystic Knight?
  12. James are you up on this webster malarkey? I thought I was until Velez Sarsfield declared that they owned him.
  13. Another weird suggestion about the transfer of Gutierrez: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/mallorca-query-gutierrezs-newcastle-move-859879.html This transfer is very murky.
  14. All our stuff comes up on News-Now, it just get lost amongst the reams of 'Have we signed Pablo Aimar?' bollocks.
  15. The OP is another exclusive from NUFC Blog btw.
  16. With Andrew Cole as my inspiration, I would like to announce my immediate retirement from international football.

  18. Just to Gatwick isn't it? Another one more of Ashleys evil ploys to move the Toon down to London They said London with the possibility it will go to 'other places on the south coast'. Keegan then went on to say his daughter lives in Southampton, and might have to board a plane with her dad on when she comes up. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/Tightlipped-Kev-keeps-his-counsel.4253095.jp But that's what KK said about it hopefully going to Southampton. I haven't seen the TV report so can only go by what the paper said.
  19. Disagree. He was great as the lone striker, holding the ball up really well and a real goal threath. Looks really strong, yet blessed with good functional technique. With clubs like Barcelona interested I can't see him coming to us however.. Misses too many chances. Only looked good because of Russian creativity. Michael Owen would have looked like Pele in that team.
  20. At this rate it will be another three/four years before Dave gets there.

  22. According to the Shields Gazette he was talking off the record for ages in the airport VIP area about his plans for pre-season training and friendly wise.
