  1. he bloody has,he's doing 17 years for it Warren? Nah, Warren just steals limousines with his mate Rob Lee.
  2. Alex, I quoted the wrong post. Should have quoted:
  3. So they appoint a manager for getting an average International team into an above average position in their group, he does rubbish, so they sack him and replace him with a manager from an average International team who got to an average position in their group.
  4. Lee Hughes didn't murder anyone btw. When Lee Hughes got behind that car, and Joey Barton allegedly punched that guy unconcious to the ground they both entered the same lottery, only Barton got lucky because whoever he allegedly punched did not fall onto his head. As a member of society, I am delighted that the magistrate refused to let Barton out on bail. I just said Lee Hughes didn't murder anyone. He didn't. Love the bit in bold btw Death by Dangerous Driving. Both allegedly did something that could have killed someone if luck didn't swing their way, even though neither meant to kill. Well murder is intentionally killing someone. That's the difference. I'm not talking about murder in either case. But both people acted in a way that could have caused death.

  7. Some ammunition for Shearer fans: In Alan Shearer - My Illustrated Career, he says something along the lines of playing with good players in the right positions leads to success.
  8. Paranoia. Its not because Barton is a Newcastle player. Its because he is Joey Barton and has form and deserves to take the flak because he makes the same mistakes over and over again.
  9. Steven 'I'm so big and important and deseve to get paid more than better players because I'm a Geordie' Taylor does not have my respect right now.
  10. Aren't you in love with Geremi? Surely you should respect the one you love? I appreciate his role as a good first teamer, but I think that he is a shit captain. I don't care about the fact that it is him captaining our team.
  11. I respect Harper, Milner and Beye. I really dont give a shit about any other club regulars any more.
  12. To be honest, Paul Ince would be a much better candidate than Shearer.
  13. You can't know that for certain. Mort and Ashley have only made one football decision without the help of Allardyce, and that was to rubber stamp Allardyce's appointment. They have very few footballing contacts, and their football knowledge is generally unknown. Therefore, although they may appoint someone good, they currently cant be trusted to make the right decision as they have no track record whatsoever.
  14. Nope, he's going to miss at least the next two games. Its actually now possible that if the police choose to keep him in custody, and he is then found guilty, he wont be able to play until after his Newcastle contract expires.
  15. He is already serving bail on the Dabo case isn't he? I doubt getting arrested again forms part of the bail agreement. I suspect that he will be in custody until he stands trial.

    If not Sam, who then?

How can you be sure of that? Ashley loves Smith and Mort is a lawyer. Why does that lead you to believe that they are shit hot at choosing football managers? [/NE5] You speak the truth though. As far as I am aware, Mort and Ashley have never had to make a footballing decision thus far, at least not without consulting Sam and the other coaches. They haven't had enough time to build up a decent portfolio of contacts in the football world. There is no evidence to suggest that the board can make the right decision, just as there is no evidence that they can't. If a managerial appointment had to be made soon, I can see it either being Shearer, whoever was second choice to Juande Ramos at Spurs under the advice of Paul Kemsley, or someone Ashley has stumbled across on Wikipedia.

Gerard Houllier is a good shout if Allardyce goes.
  18. Funny how something like this can be so easily dismissed by nearly everyone, yet a few months later, it becomes popular opinion: http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=38908.0 Obviously I can sometimes be right, even if it can be very unpopular. Someone is going to have a go at me now for saying that, but I don't care.
  19. Question is, do those on the left have enough confidence that our strikers will do anything good with those crosses, because if they don't, they are going to instead try to cut inside or dawdle on the ball to try and keep possession.
  20. Sven is an international class manager and had a year to scout the players he brought in. Proves that it can be done though. s*** team + Good manager + flair players = Entertaining football But...there's no comparison mate. Not now there isn't but before Allardyce and Sven were appointed Newcastle and Man City were in a similar situation. They weren't in a similar situation at all, as Sven inherited a good spine of players that takes time to develop, he just needed to wisely add to these players. Dunne, Richards... ... ...the goalkeepers, Ireland, Hamann, Mpenza, Johnson, Ball. All these players were already there and would have developed a good understanding of one another in training. In reality, Sven has added Elano, Corluka and Petrov to an existing squad, and reaped the rewards similarly to how Robson did with Robert and Bellamy. Well N'Zogbia, Milner, Emre, Owen, Given, Butt (if you're including Hamann), Oba. Yes he Sam didn't have as much to spend, but he still had a decent amount and didn't replace what he sold, and we're paying for it now. Ball > N'Zogbia (LB) Ireland > Milner Johnson > Emre Hamann > Butt Given hasn't made a single good save for weeks, and I'd hardly consider Owen and Martins as being a spine of our team due to the fact that they both play as individuals.
  21. Name calling very good. NE5 style posting no good. Sorry, couldn't understand what tosh you were speaking, not that am that arsed, only i do like to reply to people who quote me, even if they are talking gibberish. I think he was trying to say that a team considered half-decent isn't good enough to finish mid-table.
