  1. Having a woman as a football commentator is like asking a paedaphile to look after a bairn. Just plain fucking stupid. No wonder everyones always on the piss on a Saturday night.
  2. Howay, no ones got a worse final ball than Dyer
  3. SWP is better than Lennon and Milner tbh. Taylor still has his faults but given another couple of years he will be quality imo. Milner just needs to improve on his end product and he can go on to be a great player if he does. On a side note why do Lennon and Chimbonda always wear gloves?
  4. Aye well i'd rather Taylor and Milner weren't in the B squad tbh. They are gonna be playing in the U21's in the summer and both have played loads of games this season. Fuck the b team. Neither of them are quite ready to make the step up to the main squad so they might as well miss the b team and go and have a good tournament this summer. We all know Taylor and Milner deserve England recognition ahead of quite a few of them based on form.
  5. Parker and Dyer for a start. Dyer's been awful. Parkers been injured loads and he's been poor. I really like Parker when he's on form but if England recognition was down to form then they shouldn't be there. Its not down to form though and hasn't been for years so thats why they are there based on their ability on top form (3 games a season for Dyer)
  6. What is the date of the match(es)?
  7. Taylor and Milner will be playing for the U21's in the summer anyway. Doesn't really make a difference. Pathetic squad. People in there who aren't exactly b players and people in there who don't deserve to be in there either.
  8. Would it not just make sense to offer him a new contract? He obviously isn't gonna sign it like but he'd have to make a decision. I'm not gonna fall for the crap he's probably gonna come out and say in a day or two about being commited to Newcastle. He's got 2 years left on his contract. Most clubs make sure their star players are tied down before they get into the last year of their contract. Should offer him an extended contract, with that clause wiped out and we'll see how committed he really is. If he says no then he can fuck right off. He would say no though, i'm almost certain. He doesn't want to be here. If you don't want to be here Michael, then we don't want you here.
  9. I just think its sad that some people seem to have hatred towards him when our big problems quite clearly stem from Souness. Even the signing we thought couldn't go wrong is gonna piss on us now by the looks of it. Owen's injuries aren't Souness's fault, but its just another part of his legacy. Yet another massive loss on a player. Roeder just wasn't the man at all for the job but i don't blame him or hold anything against him at all. Souness on the other hand...
  10. If we do sell him for £9m and the deal we done with Real Madrid included appearance money then i think the board would be best coming out and telling everyone we didn't pay the full money flat out for him though. we probably did pay the full money though. I hope the fans who sung "there's only one Freddy Shepherd" when we signed Owen feel good about themselves now. I for one wouldn't be gutted if Owen left. The more money the better for the new manager. I don't want to see us get rid of the few good players we do have but taking all things into consideration selling him might be the best thing. He's only got 2 years left on his contract and if we don't sell him now then he will leave for less next summer or if we force him to stay until his contracts up we will have an unhappy player who doesn't want to be here and thats no good for anyone. One things for sure though, if he does leave then he will become the most hated player to visit SJP for the rest of his career. Not that it would bother him like.
  11. I can't be arsed to go on a rant here but it just goes to show what an idiot Shepherd is. This leak of information could most definitely come from those close to Michael Owen. If he really does want to go then he can fuck off right now. We'll be taking a massive loss (nothing new there), but i'm sure someone like Allardyce could do quite a bit with £9. £9m in the bank, £110,000 a week of the wage bill and an unhappy player out of the club is better than keeping an unhappy player who doesn't want to be here. We won't be able to buy individuals as good as Michael Owen in the summer, but its not about individuals. If we can get a good TEAM playing together as a unit then thats all that matters.
  12. Its funny really all this Spurs v Newcastle stuff. Both teams are fucking shit
  13. We will not break into the top 4 for at least 3 years if we do at all in the next 5 years imo.
  14. It's not gonna get any easier with all these investors and takeovers at clubs though.
  15. PMSL you can't keep hold of decent players, Carrick was off at the first opportunity. I'd be amazed if a) Owen isn't here next season and b) Berbatov is still at Spurs and c) not even the great Arthur C Clarke could write such an unbelievable story as Michael Owen leaving Newcastle for a little club like Spurs. Why would you be amazed if Owen left you?. You think bottom half premiership finishes are good enough for a striker like him? After 12 games?? Trust me he's going no where for now. You think playing for a club who rarely sold out throughout the 90's, employed Christian Gross as manager, couldn't sell out a deby against Arsenal this year, was sponsored by PONY, who brung 400 here in 1999, and who have finished in the top five once in 16 years is good enough for Berbatov? DB is good as gone, I'll give you 6/4 now he stays. Gross might have been crap for Spurs but he's proven himself on the Continent. Souness has been a failure most places he goes and at least Gross didn't blow the best part of £50m on an assorted collection of failures. I've never said I think Owen will leave, but assuming he stays, what are his ambitions? Win the premiership? Top 4? Top half? Whats anyone's ambitions at Spurs then? To finish the best of the rest cos they won't break into the top four, a bit like what we will probably be aiming to do under a good manager really.

  17. I remember when Woodgate was given the number 6 shirt. My mate went out and got Woodgate 6 on the back of his top and he was sold the very next day. I would have laughed if i found the sale of Woodgate funny
