Surprised Fat Fred never thought of the idea of buying Terry Mac one of them and the players some headphones to tell some jokes down the mic during the match to get some use out of him.

Allardyce confirmed as Newcastle manager - 3 year deal.

I wonder if any announcements regarding backroom staff are made tomorrow in and out. -
Agreed about Parker as a DM. Him and Butt are more than capable in the defensive midfield role (not in the same team!). Tin hat on here but i would seriously consider letting Emre go. We need an attacking midfielder who can score goals and create things. Emre looks great on the eye when he's at his best but theres very little at the end of it.

I still think Butt has a season or 2 left in him and with other areas needing strengthing i think we should keep Butt. I agree we have other priorities like. 4 defenders at the least for a start. We are DESPERATE for a midfielder who can score goals though imo. We are as desperate for one of them as we are defenders.
-
I'm hoping we can get someone better in than Butt tbh. He's been our of our players of the season like and he's won me over but i'd like to think we could get a centre midfielder or two in who actually produce and are at a decent age.

Shearer. Cancer to the club, holding us back. Greedy selfish bastard!

Why does everyone want Speed back here? He was a great player for us and a top pro, but i don't understand all this support for him to come back. I wouldn't really argue against it if he did come back but i'm not exactly desperate for him to come here. He isn't the player he was now (although he's still going well for Bolton). As a coach we don't know if he will be a good coach or not. Clarkie gets so much stick on here for being a coach because he's proven nowt, but neither has Speed. Speed has been a better player and pro than Clark but it still seems like double standards. Great players don't always make great managers/coaches as well all know. Not saying Speed isn't gonna be a good manager one day because i think he will be a good one.

Fucking hell just thinking how many players have wore the armband for us in the last 5 years. Shearer, Speed, Solano, Dyer, Elliott, Carr, Given, Parker, Butt, Harper, Boumsong! Thats of the top of my head like.
-
Maybe in 7 or 8 years. He's nowhere near the finished article yet. He needs to concentrate on improving his own game, never mind leading the other players on the pitch. Wait and see who we bring in in the summer before we talk about who should be captain.

*Walks straight into managers office* AO: "Hiya Sam, who you gonna sign this summer then, any names? SA: "Alan?" AO: "Yes Sam" SA: "Get the f*** out of my office before I call security" *Next Day* Working Hard by Alan Oliver, the Evening Chronicle Sam Allardyce is working non-stop to get new faces into Newcastle over the coming weeks, but the Toon manager is keeping his cards close to his chest and refuses to reveal any targets to the media. However, my inside knowledge at the club suggests that Steve Sidwell and Brett Emerton may well be on their way to the club despite Sidwell's recent transfer to Chelsea. Reports linking the club with Silvan Distin are wide of the mark. It's scary how realistic that is. -

Very happy. I can see Allardyce and Oliver clashing definitely. -
Dyer is NOT an average player...Average players don't play for your national team... Do i even have to try and argue back against this statement? Please do so...I wanna read it...I really do... Nah i can't even be arsed with it. It was ridiculous statement to make though. I take it you've never heard of Michael Gray, Steve Froggatt, Steve Guppy, Alan Thompson... No I havn't but why mention those ? Who are the average England players in your opinion ? Go and find a skip, preferably one with a lid on and sit in the fucker for a few hours mate.

I still can't believe theres people who think theres anything in Dyer. He's not gonna change at the age of 29. I hope the stick he got yesterday leads to a transfer request.
-
What evidence is there to show he is still good? I don't rate Ameobi either but i still wouldn't sign a 35 year old has been with no pace whatsoever anymore. We might as well ask Shearer for another year as well because of the feel good factor and for the sake of it. The only thing Fat Jimmy is hungry for these days is his pre-match meal. We need youth, and players at their peaks as far as strikers go. I'm all for signing an experienced defender and midfielder maybe, but certainly not a 35 year old has been striker.

Read on the True Faith report that our fans were "80,000, you're having a laugh" yesterday. I don't usually like the idea of our fans getting on our players backs in that way during a match but giving the circumstances i say go on every one of them who let their feelings known.
-
No way. Big wages, way past his best now. He is 35 as well.
-
Sibierski scored 8 goals this season. Give him a new 3 year contract. £80,000 a week. Dyer is not good enough. I agree that some people on here have unrealistic expectations in the short term, and we definitely have players who are under performing but are good enough. Dyer is not one of them though. He has never done anything to justify all the hype he gets. All he has is pace. He might be good enough for a mid table team, but thats not where we want to be and thats exactly the reason Roeder is no longer our manager. If you don't want to be one of the teams who just make up the numbers in the Premiership then you have to get rid of the average players who don't perform and thats exactly what Dyer is.
