Blimey. I am positive, but that season is right up there in terms of quality of football, excitement and buzz about the town.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Stadia_List 5 Star needs 50k+, so SOS is out straight away. No idea why we aren't 4 or 5 star going by those criteria. Maybe the toilets are too shit. Also, thinking about this, we're one of the stadia that's going to be used in the Olympics alongside Villa Park, Hampden, Old Trafford and the Millennium Stadium all of which are either 4 or 5 star UEFA rated venues. Which seems odd. Not that I'm particularly arsed.

Nonsense, surely. Has Sunderland even got a hotel?

That's very true. I can't get my head around why, with the goals he's scored, he's not talked about as one of the best in the Premier League. If he was playing for Arsenal he'd more than likely be 'the new Henry'. Aye, he is very similar to Henry, like. I didn't say he was. I said if he played Arsenal, he'd be talked about in those terms. I'm not sure he would, tbh. He has a happy knack for scoring goals, but that doesn't make the obvious flaws in his game disappear. Even if he played for Arsenal.

So you should, an aal, with your blatantly Southern beer terminology. I'm not southern, had to make the rhyme fit some how. Well, alright then.

They'll soon have caught up with the likes of the Ukraine!

Assuming that's what meant by fulcrum, then I think, yes, we could do with one. Owen could do it, but I don't think he has the necessary influence on his team-mates.
-
No idea. And for what team? Linfield?

Who's this bell-end phoning in to ITV? Luca Johnson, Geordie who supports Man Utd. Bah!

I find that funny on so many levels! blueyes.gif Care to expand on that? O.k. Firstly, the jibe about "intelligent" scousers is just a lazy, ignorant unfunny attempt at humour by playing on prejudices amuses me (almost as much as when your fans sing "sign on, with a pen in your hand" without any sign of self awareness for the social deprivation on Tyneside). Secondly, the person held up as "intelligent" recently stubbed out a cigar in someones eye - but that's alright because as long as he stops assaulting people then he should be your next captain. You (or many of you) slag off Owen because he dared to say that he wanted to sign for Liverpool instead of you and yet a man that has played a grand total of half an hour is held up as the type of player that you want at your club. As an outsider looking in, it seems that as long as players/staff talk about the "toon army" being thew best in the world, or newcastle being a "huge" club then they are allowed to take the p*** (Shepherd/Hall/Bellamy/Dyer/etc) but when you have someone that doesn't want to play that game (Owen) then he should be ejected from the club asap. That, is why I smile.. I agree with a lot of what you say, but this Owen thing is rubbish. You said it a few times now and there's no basis for it. There's the odd dickhead who wants him out, but the vast majority want him to stay as he's easily the best player in our squad.

Probably fed up of you by now tbh, can't imagine "zog, zog, zog, oi zog, zog, Charles, zog, ZOG, ZOGGY, ZOG!!!" would take long to get on your tits You clearly haven't got any skills in how to get the players autographs yourself then Gejon ? Jon just get his tits out.

Bent was really disappointing. Very poor show.
-
I think he's said all the right things. Just hope he keeps his nose clean and does the business on the pitch now.
-
Arse top of the group with a +11 goal diff.
-
Brilliant result for them.
-
Seven-nowt.

Impressed with Walcott tonight. He's definitely going to make it big.
-
The movement of the Arsenal players is fabulous. How do you coach that? And when do we start doing it?
-
Triple change for Arsenal. Why not?
-
Slavia Prague has been pretty poor, but it's nice to watch an English team play proper football. 6-0, btw.
-
When up against a team as poor as this, Arsenal will just destroy them and barely break a sweat.
-
Arsenal basically bumming Slavia in the face. Should be about 10-0 by full time.
-
Copping a feel of Walcott there.
