Just under 16,000 posts = "rarely post" I've nowhere near that amount of posts on there. On average you post on there about 14 times a day. ?? A few on here have found him to be a snidey, sycophantic twat and wonder why he has been so reluctant to reveal his RTG identity when he claims he hardly ever posts there. However his "fan club" always seem to spring his defence. Don't know how this was found out but hardly a surprise to those who have seen through his phoney, even handed demeanour. So who is he really ? Dangermarrows ?

It seems that the rabid jealousy of us being everyone's second favourite team, having an airport and winning relegation has finally pushed the poor souls beyond sanity.

Couple of crackers from Depressing Dave on local TV tonight. Cup games provide a break from the PL and they want to win tonight to get another one. Dave the way you're going there'll be a very long break from the PL coming up. They are improving but it may not be visible to the naked eye. Are binoculars or 3D spectacles needed to see the improvement ?

It will definitely be Chelsea or Arsenal away just a question of whether the footballing gods give us them this time or allow us one more victory before the inevitable -
Aston Villa vs Newcastle United - 24/09/2016 @ 17:30 - Live on Sky
Benwell Lad replied to 54's topic in Football
We're not doing draws at the moment which is no bad thing, and 15 points from 8 could come through 4 wins and 3 draws which would probably have been considered a more impressive start. I think the next two are massive and will certainly be tough, but before the season started I'd have taken top 6 at the beginning of October when I saw August/September's fixtures. I want a bit more than that now but still think if we're top 4 or 5 after September we can push on from there. -
Darlow looked very good - confident on crosses, decent distribution and a couple of good saves when needed. Bit like he was end of last season really. Yedlin looked good linked well with Ritchie, pacey and defensively intelligent. Centre backs worked well together - they're going to be second choice pairing but such cover is a good thing to have. Lazaar had a nervous scrappy start but in fairness he grew into it and was looking a lot better by the end. Ritchie will be so important to what we wish to achieve this season. Very good footballer. Murphy battled away outnumbered by big physical centre backs but always showed willing. Decent option as squad player. Excellent crowd - credit to the club for the pricing initiative.

Not really a pitchfork attack (well not this time anyway ) more just trying to explain the point which he was obviously missing or just ignoring. In retort to comments about thousands of mackems celebrating the journalist thing or singing songs supporting Johnson he brings up the horse punching thing. Not quite the same really. Had I said something like "all mackems attack their managers in the dug out" then of course his reply would have been justified. More questioning his intellect/understanding than anything else. He's highlighting the false equivalency of tarring all of a subset with the same brush. Showing how inane an argument based on such a premise is. There's some planks marauding around this thread these days, petty tribalism, it's as embarassing as stuff you see on RTG...cue retorts to the effect of "it's okay when we do it"... Which I was also highlighting by comparing his horse punching jibe to them attacking managers in the dugout, not the very real and very popular support they gave to Johnson etc which was more than a "subset" (although I'm not sure what that means but assume you mean a small minority?) Anyway, regarding the rest of your reply, most internet forums started going downhill years ago but to compare what goes on on here (even in this thread) to places like RTG is frankly ridiculous. Regarding the individual in question, unlike some on here his attempt at being reasonable has not wooed me, I find his comments often snidey and condescending and would do irrespective of his football allegiance.

So your retort to thousands of posts celebrating your great victory over the journalist and your fans chanting support for a paedophile is the horse punching thing You'd really be better off posting on RTG than coming on here all the time attempting to be some mackem missionary voice of reason.

Why are you aiming that comment at me? I'm not guilty of any of the things you've commented on. I wasn't part of the witch hunt I simply said he was unsuitable for the position he'd been given. I'm certainly not celebrating, in fact I'm glad they've given him another job on the paper. You (Sunderland people) are celebrating like you've won something tonight You (Sunderland people) are far more upset by a Mag journalist working for your local rag than you were about your club playing a paedophile. You come on here regularly claiming not to be like most of your fellow supporters and hide your RTG identity. You probably have very different opinions when you're on home turf.

If you show me anything that Louise Taylor has written about Newcastle which is even close to what this lad wrote I'll be amazed. It was only last December he wrote that he hopes we get relegated. Completely unsuitable to be reporting on SAFC. Agree. Should never have been given the job, but what a dangerous precedent to set - should all employees of media organisations now be up for such scrutiny and potential victims of witch hunts? The celebratory mood amongst you lot about this is weird but maybe that just illustrates how bad you have become. Paedophile players - support and celebrate them, mag reporters - burn them at the stake. What a strange bunch you are.
-
Inevitable once the lynch mob got going. Such a narrow minded backward place, hopefully it's just in Sunderland that it could happen - or will every football journalist now be scrutinised? Openly supported and celebrated a paedophile player but won't tolerate a mag reporting on their matches
-
You think so? Not these days. Their fanbase changed around about the time they left Roker Park. You used to be able to get a bit of sense out of most of them, we had a lot in common in the old days. Don't know whether it's the rise of social media or what, but even lads I've known for years have started spouting the sort of nonsense you'll see every day on RTG. True. The free tickets started then, someone with no Sunderland connection whatsoever told me they had been given 12 to distribute for the Man U game - and this will have contributed to the change in their fan demographic.
-
I think it's quite apparent they already are. Been spending beyond their means for years.

Newcastle United 0-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers - post-match from pg. 17
Benwell Lad replied to Disco's topic in Football
We had a small spell right before they scored, but yeah, it was woeful. Yeah, the save from Ayoze was a pivotal moment and would have probably meant a very different outcome had it gone in, but once we went behind we couldn't muster any kind of pressure to get back into it. -

I can't remember seeing a team beaten at home who didn't put the opposition under pressure for some part of the game as they tried to get back into it. We've even did that against Arsenal and Man City but yesterday there was not one minute where we looked like we had them under pressure. I struggle to recall a worse home performance and that includes recent Premier League nadirs such as Bournemouth and Reading. Truly woeful and quite amazing that a level of performance can change so starkly in a few days. -
That young journalist was slagging Sunderland off on social media last December. He's also called Sunderland fans scummy c*nts in the past. I struggle to see how he can report with any degree of impartiality after comments like that. Which was not the point I'm making. My point was some of your brethren pretending to be upset by bad language per se, when what really upsets them is who the language was directed at. Of course you'll hound him out, Sunderland is a parochial little town where lynch mob mentality is never far from the surface. You hounded out probably the best manager you've had in recent years because he was a Geordie and you love a boycott of anything perceived to be linked to Newcastle. BTW just to cheer you up I was talking to someone this morning who has involvement at your club and he told me that the problems behind the scenes may be a lot worse than anyone is letting on. Happy days!
-
In true macum style it appears that a lot of them are now getting very precious about language the young journalist used on social media some time ago, particularly the "c" word. This from people who's main forum and social media sites often descend into violent threats to each other by page 2 while peppering their prose with profanities is the norm.

A German wanted to lecture me about how English football had sold out to the global rich, TV and sponsorship while their clubs had retained their souls through varying degrees of fan "ownership". I had to point out to him that if that really was the case then why were they absolutely dictated to by TV schedules every weekend with very few traditional Saturday afternoon kick offs. Plenty wrong with English football at the highest levels but keeping our kick off times, predominantly, to the traditional time is a good thing.

Newcastle United vs Wolves - 17/09/16 @ 15.00 - Pre Match Thread
Benwell Lad replied to Nobody's topic in Football
Without doubt imo. Strong competition in every position, no guaranteed starters and everyone busting a gut just to be in the match day squad. -
From what I can gather the blunderland echo is heading the same way as Sugar Puffs down in Albania on Wear. Boycott! Seem to be unprecedented levels of seethingness and rattledom about this kid down on Wearyside It's like Alan Shearer, Steven Taylor and Joey Barton have metamorphosed into one person
