  1. Financially living above their means for years. Morally bankrupt. What looks like the worst PL squad ever. A manager who's obviously a spent force. Players on huge contracts who really don't want to be there. Jack Rodwell. Fucking hell they're in deep shit. At least they've got those happy memories of flying a plane over St. James' Park and getting a journalist sacked to look back on.
  2. ... mind there were two of him on the pitch so which one do you mean?
  3. Saw this as a potentially difficult game but we really should have scored six. Shelvey ran the game and today showed we are the best team in this league. Might have been mentioned earlier but - "You're just a shit Jack Colback"
  4. I actually feel sorry for their remaining fans who are not nonce/fascist sympathisers and still pay for a ticket.
  5. They seem to have hundreds of threads about attendances. Some time last week they had separate ones about themselves, us and Boro running at the same time. Needless to say after allowing for seasonal adjustments, life expectancy, the North Sea etc and disregarding thousands of free tickets they all decided that they had the best support by far.
  6. it continues... http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2016/10/7/13200240/rrs-newswipe-the-national-press-is-this-the-reason-safc-get-a-hard They really are the most pathetic bunch of supporters on the planet aren't they? Yes, yes and yes. And those articles just get sadder - like a pathetic cry for help. It is difficult to understand why anyone in the press would criticise them in any way. I mean it's not like they don't play attractive winning football, or aren't a credit to the Premier League, or would ever tolerate and celebrate fascists, paedophiles or crooks is it.............? Reality is they've got off very lightly over the last few years mainly because nobody outside the north east has any interest in them.
  7. The bitterness! fucking hell man, painful that they would think this stuff- but put it in print, hahahahaha That site regularly peddles such ridiculous nonsense and sadly quite a few seem to be taken in by it. No wonder they collectively have the biggest chip on shoulder in football. They seem to be even more bitter since we were relegated. Strange people. it has destroyed them that we have responded positively to relegation, and still pull in 50k, while they appear to be imploding as a club. I know, it's quite amusing isn't it watching them get really angry about us not being angry
  8. The Newcastle Evening Chronicle does exactly the same thing. I think it is just inconsiderate. They've got pretty decent form lately for getting journalists who don't agree with them fired. Maybe they need to mobilise the lynch mob again - it's the only victory they've had to celebrate for about 5 months.
  9. Fair enough, and great to see the legends flags. Doing a cracking job. Love the look of that Supermac one. Quality.

  11. Did they both happen in the same match ? For some reason thought they were separate games. Game when Mira attacked Beasant was sold out but Gallowgate was way past given capacity, sure it was pre Hillsborough. They were two separate matches. The Vinny/Gazza incident was at Plough lane in the league earlier in the season, but the Mirandinha/Beasant one was up here in the FA Cup 3rd round - that was my first ever match too, went in the corner with my older cousin. Another good one from that season, was Chelsea at home, not long after that Wimbledon game. We won 3-1, with Gazza scoring and 2 from Mirandinha. He was being subbed, and didn't want to go off, as he was on a hattrick.. players having to usher him off. Never seen the goals from that game since, and they've never turned up on YT or on that Facebook page that cover those years.
  12. "Mackem knocker" They are so paranoid man. Also bringing out the stats about Newcastle being the 619th largest city in the world ffs. Wow! Such bitterness. That is some saddo who writes that.

  14. 6-1 after Segers (I think) got sent off. Was at the Gallowgate end and he was getting it tight but he made a couple of realy god saves. Vinny was brilliant that day the way he played to the crowd. Definitely an actor in the making.
  15. Yep. We can discuss this until the proverbial cows come home but as long as Rafa is in charge the only time we will see more than one out and out striker on the pitch is if we're chasing a game. It's not really a 4-4-2. He's moved on already from early seasons ultra cautious, rigid 4-2-3-1 to what seems more like a 4-4-1-1. Playing Gayle, Perez or Diame behind Mitrovic or Murphy still plays into this. Even most teams that play a nominal 4-4-2 drop one of the front two back a bit when out of possession. I don't see Gayle, Perez or Diame as out and out strikers either. Agree fully, there will be one of those off the "front" player in almost every Benitez starting XI. He wants 9 of his outfield players grafting while he considers the front man a luxury who is by and large exempt from other "duties".

  17. Depends which Krul we are talking about because the one who played latterly was not as good as the one a couple of years previously. He did not improve as many hoped and expected he would. Darlow is decent and should get better.
  18. Still better than Strange (2/10) but nowhere near as good as yourself (7/10)
  19. Can't believe that strange post from our new 65 year old poster has provoked such a reaction and the discussion which followed I still think SJP and indeed around the town on match days has a decent atmosphere compared to most. I have been in the stadium and thought it was quiet but spoken to people in other parts of the ground who said it was loud - maybe it just doesn't carry or resonate well. It still gets very loud on occasions but it takes a particular game or passage of play to kick start it. I prefer this "natural" atmosphere rather than the artificial, orchestrated stuff you get in Germany for example, where it is choreographed and bears little relation to what is actually happening on the pitch. Can't really speak about the SoS but before they moved to that oversized, free ticket, plastic arena and they had a proper ground it was quite canny at Roker Park.
  20. Strange Mackem is conspicuous by his absence since he was outed as RTG's top poster. Is he still around ?
  21. Yep. Four decent central defenders and others who could fill in is pretty good for this division.
  22. We are everyone's cup final in this league and will have a fair few games to grind out like today's.
  23. Got to trust the guy who is working with the squad day in day out but Yedlin/Ritchie has been very productive for us lately. Wonder if he may already be thinking about bookings/suspensions and selecting matches ?
  24. Well what a week that was for north east football ! Both our clubs played their full part in exciting matches with the drama of unlikely two goal deficits being overturned late in the game and last gasp winners sending fans into raptures. Both teams should be commended for the excitement they have provided
