Ah crap. 90s legend. 49 jeez. RIP to both Wednesday legends.

Well they can't do that.. clubs will complain they are trying to fiddle FFP and aren't selling at fair market value.. Oh yeah, it doesn't work the other way around.

Ah, so you are saying we should buy Lindstrom, loan him to Juve then get Chiesa on loan with an option to buy. Jobs a goodun.

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/07/24/juventus-worried-newcastle-could-sign-30m-player/ We can surely ease their worries by taking Chiesa on a loan to buy and letting them have Lindstrom.

Almost perfect. Young RCB in January maybe. We have arguably got more depth at LB than CB but the depth isn't very good. We need a younger up and coming CB but a starting classy LB would be transformative. I don't think we are getting both this window but fingers crossed. CB: Botman, Schar, Lascelles, Burn, (Krafth, Dummett) LB: Burn, Targett, Lewis, Dummett, Trippier, Manquillo, Ritchie - At least Lewis and Manquillo are likely offski though.

Imagine if they turned 259m down lol. Whether Mbappe agrees we shall see. It is one year that will set up his grandkid's grandikids and then he will just move to Real Madrid. Would be shocked if he said no.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Really torn on Anderson. He needs game time to continue developing but we also need depth as we saw at the end of last season. While it's not best case scenario for him we likely have to keep him and Miley until January. If everyone is fit though it would be hard to get consistent games. He will for sure get minutes with the amount of fixtures we have though, probably Miley too. -
What is key with Livramento and potentially someone like Hall, is that they won't occupy a squad place given their age. Thats big for keeping a couple of Ritchie, Dummett, Krafth, Targett and Manquillo. Although I expect at least one or two of them to get moved on this window.

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)
toontownman replied to Ronson333's topic in Football
Very cool. Kept it generally simple tonight with flashes of doing something more. You can tell he has it in him and i think we will see it as he grows in confidence with exprience. Really impressed though. Certainly no need for another CM until Jan at least imo. A welcome emergence that means we can concentrate some funds elsewhere this window. -
Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)

Season one: Joelinton and Longstaff Season two: Murphy and Almiron Season three: Lascelles? Strong performance tonight and a beauty of a 60 yard ball for the third goal. Rooting for him this year. -
Garang Kuol: Joins Sparta Prague in permanent deal (Official)

Juve or Notts County by the looks of the picture. -
Can see us walking away and returning late in the window if Southampton aren't approaching what we want. Clear the player wants to come and we don't desperately need him to start the season. We can move on elsewhere and hope to get a better deal late in the window. Hope it's closer than some people have been reporting and we get him in this week though.

Nice comments about ASM too.. Watch your back Jamal.. Added a nice 1m on to the fee making him captain again and talking him up. Howe got the smarts. -
The systems is so broken and has been for years but its hilarious its the majority of clubs that broke it and benefitted the most that have their arms constantly up in the air whining about how they are threatened. Does this then open up the door the other way for the PL to investigate things like Manure trying to charge 3 times the regular fee or what West Ham paid for Lingard to come to us on loan because we are a "rival" or other clubs inflating fees for rivals or because "we can pay more" or charging more to fit their own FFP? Should there be one set price for everyone?. When does it end. So many clubs have working partnerships and good relations. How much scrutiny is needed in the game? There isn't enough time lol

Fair enough if we were selling them Fraser or Hendrick for 20m. Just pathetic from the clubs complaining. Not a huge surprise unfortunately. Looks like we took less than market value for ASM.

I want cameras on when Big Joe walks into the room and Tonali and Bruno are cosying up.
