  1. Luke in high wind up over drive? Would be a great signing.
  2. Sizeable list. Best of luck to those departing. Likely not an easy undertaking for the manager and staff to cut that many loose. I was Interested to see how they would evolve with the step up a league. 10 stronger additions could be a real game changer though if they recruit the right people. Exciting off season ahead for the lasses.
  3. Alternative to Nmecha.. would count as home grown too. Stock down though and would cost more. Loan might be possible though. https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2023/06/13/newcastle-united-and-aston-villa-keen-on-matteo-guendouzi/
  4. Class moves. So odd to be a professionally run club.
  5. How do spuds fans feel? If he doesn't get good results off the bat they will likely turn on him and make it very difficult.
  6. Thought chalobah looked good against us.
  7. BDB will likely be back as a CB next season too. Pretty sure we will still get a RCB but Botman, Schar, Lascelles, Burn and Krafth as backup is already there. Interested to see how Alex Murphy, McArthur and Savage have developed this year too. Kelland watts is coming back from loan too.
  8. The alarm bells go off anytime is read that a player has been "offered to Newcastle." Usually means they end up at Villa, West Ham or Nottingham Forest. If we were interested we would get it done largely silently without being "offered the player" always seems like they are damaged goods. Howe likes a project though.
  9. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65570733 A lot of Brighton fans voting I guess? Get voting people.
  10. Hoping for 5 first team additions. As already mentioned in the press, a RCB, LB, DM another attacking wide/central mid and a versatile forward. Expect we will get 3 or maybe 4. I do expect an influx in the youth/reserves on top of that. That said this will be the 3rd if not 4th window I expected that. They are keeping it steady.
  11. Closer to spurs and arsenal. Brighton and Palace are direct rivals.. for reasons I have forgotten!
  12. Think we will be working hard to get players in as soon as possible. We will need to act quicker for some targets. The above will hinder for sure.
  13. As much as that's true, working with Levy must be as much of a turn off. It's like the "who would want to come work under Ashley" years. Until he goes or steps back so he isn't undermining the manager/coaches spuds will always be a hand tied behind the back.

    Joelinton

Amazing news. Although was hoping they would ignore him long enough for England to cap him lol. So overdue. He is an absolute beast and now he will get to show that on the international stage.
  15. Would be smart to keep anyone worthwhile in the reserves until we know where the squad is at. With the amount of games we might well need them. They can always go out in January.
  16. Great to see Miley and Lewis get minutes.
  17. We need a big investment on the reserves/youth team to help pad the first team. Even if we bring in 4/5 first team we will be stretched.
  18. Probably trying to work out how to play CM with an injured Bruno and inexperienced Anderson around him. He does look a bit unfit. He done lots of running though 6km by half time.
  19. We look bit knackered by ready to hunker down and soak it all up. Back to the early counter attack days.
  20. Birtles didn't have any positivity pills at half time then.

    Joe Willock

If he can find consistency in converting his finishing he will become a next level player. He has time and the right staff around him to do it. Could also see him ending up similar to Arsenal being replaced by someone that does and becoming a squad player. I'm rooting for option A though. He is so likeable and deserved his success.
