Yep I think we have a few fall back options. Not worried at all. Badiashile looks a bit more rash than botman but quicker and more exciting. The fact he can play as a RCB makes me think he could still be on the radar, Botman or not. Botman/Ake Badiashile (Burn) (Schar) Then Lascelles/Dummett or Fernandez as the 5th squad CB. Could see us doing that in 3 windows with the 3rd window replacing the squad CB, buying someone young or pushing Schar/Burn down the ladder.

Jose would be mental to move surely? He is adored where he is. If he does take it, it further pushes me away from wanting him here down the line and reinforces the notion that while he invariably brings success he just doesn't stick around very long at clubs. Backline is a shambles and midfield is pretty anonymous. Not a huge surprise with such a jumbled lined up but it's a terrible watch so far!

I have no problem waiting here. Especially as we will know either way this week. We obviously feel he is worth the effort. He is potentially a transformative and key piece for us for the next 5-10 years. He has been pretty complimentary towards us. Its not like he isn't interested in coming here imo. It's just one move is far better an option for his career right now and in a career that could end via injury in an instant I can't blame players for going with that. If there was an offer in from Milan for Bruno he would have gone there too. We aren't in the position to be natural first choice for the best players in the world right now, regardless of what their PR team will tell you. I am fully confident we will get someone just as good if he ends up at Milan but we clearly see Botman as THE guy we want, so let's see how the week goes.
