  1. Not when Lille controls his Instagram account..
  2. Yep heavily linked there and looks a goer. Probably paying double what we would offer.
  3. Do we think this is info is from before or after the other tweets saying its a no go and he isn't for sale due to injury. lol. My brain can't cope with going from last summers weeks without even a rumour to the barrage of tweets and info every 10 mins... I HATE IT.... I love it.

    Lucas Digne

It is a perilous situation, he is on the precipice of either being "overrated and a total cunt" OR "Our cunt and the best LB in the league". The choice is yours Lucas... you will be one or the other to Everton, Villa and Newcastle fans either way. Sure he will be really gutted counting the pennies of his pay rise to the suckers willing to pay it. Don't expect him here either way. Fabs said so after all.
  5. I would be pretty happy with Aarons, Trippier, Manquillo and Lewis going in the back end of the season. Though Manq was excellent at LB against Manure. Would give us lots of options and would be more than enough with Krafth, Dummett (likely not included in the squad list), Murphy, Ritchie, as last resorts.
  6. No way we start Hugo at the weekend even if he signs in time. Maybe off the bench. Best bet for a starting striker for Saturday would be there actually being a release clause in Woods contract, or a surprise loan deal. Wish Martial was interested.
  7. Possible Aarons on the right and Tripps on the left until the summer when we can get a better LB. I would take that. Don't see Aarons as a goer though.
  8. I think it is pretty much a given as much as we are all frustrated and increasingly desperate as the days go on, Stavely and co. are likely even worse. They desperately want to impress and get this right and will be incredibly frustrated things aren't working out as they want.
  9. Got a good shot in the box. That is what counts.
  10. Definitely easy to be negative after the weekend and next weekend closing in. Given how long Trippier took it seems like we need to have someone new coming in tomorrow or Wednesday latest to play Saturday. As much as things have been drawn out things can equally move very quickly in the market too. Striker is the only thing we absolutely need in before the weekend imo. If CB and DM take longer so be it.
  11. I'm quietly confident we have a big money or big stature striker lined up. We needed a striker before Wilson's injury. I just can't see them targeting and allegedly bidding for three of the best young CB's in Europe, bringing in a player of Trippiers level and now switching to an at best, average PL striker on the downside and out of the team. Woods not the end of the world as a Gayle replacement, not convinced the link is rubbish though. I think we will bring someone else is in at a bigger ceiling either way. Keep the faith.
  12. New round of names. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10385101/Newcastle-PSV-midfielder-Sangare-hold-talks-Monaco-Badiashile.html DM: Ibrahim Sangare of PSV Striker: Hugo Ekitike of Reims Doubt Badiashile is still an option after his injury today. Reportedly a muscular injury. Was carried off with two people carrying and looked in a bad way.
  13. Monitoring. No chance we get him in until Emerton is finalized.
  14. We need two strikers. Can see us still trying to get a big up and coming striker in but two strikers that are new to the country league seems risky and unlikely. We need whomever comes in to hit the ground running. Someone like Wood makes some sense, although PEA was obviously aalot more sexy. That said, looks like we are trying for two new to the PL defenders, so who knows. Have to nail these signings. It's high stakes and will make or break what's left of the season.
  15. If the links are true I feel like he is someone that has come available the Howe fancies as a long term project. Can't believe he was or is a priority target. Will be handing in the Championship mind!
  16. Wouldn't gamble on Wood tbh. He is rotten. At his age it only takes a bad tackle snap him like a twig. Could book him in for medical but chances of him passing it are paper thin.
  17. If it is Wood and we have to throw him in the deep end, I think he will float.
  18. Nketiah was pap today vs Forest. While I'd be shocked it we went for Wood I'm not convinced Nketiah would be better. Hoping for some more inspiring news on the striker front.
  19. Yep. I have no problems bringing in Cantwell. Think he has ability and is a project. He has to be on top of a DM 2x strikers, CBs and LB though.
  20. Just rolled his ankle and was walking on it fine. Won't be long term. Badiashile looked good vs Nantes, class tackle, pretty solid but of course just went off Injured Not looking good
  21. Hope the mail article is right. Any two or those 3 CB's would be great. Likewise Kamara or Bissouma. A big quality up and coming striker like Isak alongside a proven player that is more of a short term bet would be good too.
  22. 8 weeks is a blessing and a potential curse. Hope we don't think one striker will be fine with Wilson returning after injury. Desperately need two new strikers. Seems so long ago we had 4/5 decent enough striker options on the books.
  23. Not if you watched what he was capable of in the MLS. Granted it's a shit league but that's a completely different player. He was scoring for fun, deadly on set pieces and full of confidence.
  24. He simply isn't a player to rely on. For the past year we have put all our hopes on giving the ball to ASM and hoping he does something magical. We have also played him in the wrong position alot. He has to play out wide and we need to create space for him. He will work better when he isn't the ONLY attacking threat.
