  1. Bit more on Owen Brown (Phil Foden's agent) who has been advising PCP along with McParland and will likely be on board. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/10/11/newcastle-united-takeover-owen-brown-foden/
  2. Would be a decent shout. Not sure if he would be interested in the manager part or not. I think we need experience and quality though. We can't throw a younger manager to the Wolves unless he has the charisma, talent and broad shoulders to cope with turning this squad around until January recruits. I would however be shocked if we don't see a completely different looking squad against Spurs even if we lose the game. The place will be electric and every player will have got a shot in the arm... (well not that shot obviously)
  3. Was linked over a year ago with Owen Brown. Both are already working with PCP. https://www.nufcblog.com/2020/05/21/signs-that-rafa-benitez-could-be-making-a-surprise-return-to-newcastle/ Times article here: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/newcastle-takeover-former-liverpool-transfer-specialist-frank-mcparland-to-help-reshape-newcastle-zrvf0lgxm Rangers fans hate him here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ibroxnoise.co.uk/2017/02/the-disaster-that-iswas-frank-mcparland/amp/
  4. I'm already at the point that I would be sad if Ragnick doesn't come in lol Few places backtracking on Conte, saying he is interested to talk..Think it just stems from a likely bs claim from the chronicle. Imagine Conte actually wanting it but us turning him down because he won't fit with our DoF set up and vision. ?
  5. It's not just the mackems the general fan fewm is real. I had messages from generally logical mates saying "I really think this is the moment that fucks football." "This is just the start and clubs will be suing the PL." "The brand has been tarnished in a way it really hasn't been before." Not going to lie about having solid gold rose and diamond tinted specs on right now but some of the shite coming out of pure jealous rage and "concern" for a world of football that has been dead and corrupted for decades is laughable. Would be celebrated if it was liverpool being taken over.
  6. Sorry for the likely Giggs but read yesterday Owen Brown is the football consultant for PCP and will remain in an advisory role. He is also the agent of Phil Foden ?
  7. Rangnick would be great as DOF but could do the interim manager job alongside Jones and/or whomever he wants. Would give him the best hands on experience to develop the club while finding the right person for the head coach job. We do really need an experienced head to turn us around. There would be a MASSIVE weight of expectation and pressure on the shoulders of someone like a Potter, Gerrard or Fonseca. The ship needs steadying. Favre or AVB would be good temporary hires that are available. Not convinced either would be down for a short term stint though.
  8. Bruce in the dugout against Spurs would take a seriously gloss off everything. It just can't happen. If Jones has to be interim for the next week or even two, so be it. Bruce has to go though and absolutely will.
  9. Poor sod. Wonder if the new coach can salvage his career.
  10. Potter fits the DoF/Headcoach system we will almost certainly go for won't he? We need a coach that can get the best out of players and help develop players right now. Can Potter handle working with bigger names and personalities if we start bringing them in? Probably a bridge you cross when you get there? If he does well the England job will probably beckon. I don't know that he is the inspiring charismatic choice that will totally unite the fan base but his methods and backstory is awesome. I'd prefer a more proven winner and big name but the right choice is the person that is honest, in it for the right reasons and can improve players while winning games.
  11. Howe's about that! https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19636853.reports-eddie-howe-will-reject-newcastle-wait-saints/ Keep seeing reports Conte has ruled himself out but is this just hearsay or has he been quoted?
  12. Who says he isn't? ?? I'd be shocked though.
  13. ?That's the key. It is a huge opportunity and probably his best. Everyone's best chance tbh. There can't be a better motivator than this. As you say, at the end of the day if players aren't up to it we will ship them out and get players that are better. That is the narrative shift and it will be a weird one to get used to!
  14. Fuck I love this shit. Overhauling this squad is not just short term reality but a countdown. Happy days. Walk of atonement: Bruce and bobbins staff Gayle Shelvey Wishing you well in your future endeavors...as soon as we can replace ye: Dummett Clark Mark Gillespie Krafth Ritchie Hendrick Darlow Manquillo See if they can adapt and excel with better coaching and players around them: Joelinton Lewis Fraser Longstaff Shortstaff Murphy Hayden Woodman Not to blast into space... until such time as we grow weary of them: Lascelles - could be in the above category or the below. Schar - bit like Jamaal think he will be a different player but could also be phased out. Fernandez - he will be phased out quicker than the rest, but deserves to stay as long as he is useful. Cornerstones to keep: (can't wait to see these guys with better players around them) Dubravka Almiron Willock Wilson Saint-Maximin January needs: (furthr summer additions) 2 (1) Central or Defensive mid 1 (1) striker 1 (1) CB Upgrade fullback on either side. Can't see more the 4 coming in at January but who knows.

    Joe Willock

How fucking vindicated and happy does Joe feel right now?
  16. Would appear so... Most championship winning titles: Newcastle United Norwich City Reading Sunderland Wolverhampton Wanderers (2 titles each Another thing to piss the mackems off lol
  17. Honestly don't care if we go down. We will come straight back up. We are undeniable now.
  18. Nah we are marvel not DC. We had spiderman. Now we have Vision and the league gave us Hawkeye we might get Hulk?
  19. My only fear is how he gets on with the new manager. He has prior doesn't he? Not to mention Bruce flat out saying he is late to training every day..and doesn't seem to be reprimanded for it. This could be the greatest thing for ASM or the beginning or the road depending on what type of manager and people person we bring in. ASM has outwardly expressed the need for ambition to keep him at the club but he has also had the freedom of the city and treated like royalty. If he clicks with the new manager he could fulfill that world superstar potential we all know he has. Time is on his side. Ultimately it's up to him!
  20. We want someone here for the mid to long term. No people that will be stepping stones to an international gig or job elsewhere. The first appointment is a massive one. Still wouldn't be surprised if they go interim for the year and take their time finding the right person.
