Completely agree. They were stitched up well by Liverpool, fleecing them for talent that simple never performed. Howe would be perfect for us given he wouldn't have a say in transfers.. I mean he wouldn't get transfers either but could have a few loans. Maybe he will still be available when Bruce gets sacked for us being bottom near the end of 2020?

Cometh the time. Cometh the king.

Does Alex Bruce count?

Will be putting energy towards the burgeoning grassroots Canadian league thats growing. Although even that has been shitted on for us. The city I live in was moving towards having a team but covid had fucked that at least until 2022 that is if the ownership group doesnt just fuck it off. All joy, all the time.

Have absolutely no doubt we'll survive with room to spare again. People have been going on like the team's pool of talent isn't lower mid-table standard at the very lowest. Not that worried about the players and expect we will still bring in a couple of surprisingly half decent players. It is the manager that traditionally does best in his first season that will be the one bringing down the quality and being tactically out manoeuvred by practically all the other managers in the league that will be our undoing. It's the proportion of our a fanbase that the media will feed shit about how great a job bruce is doing under hard circumstances etc and we are where we deserve to be. That same proportion that will eat it up. It's sitting here knowing what might have been and the above press shit is just that which will alienate the rest of us even more. Fuck Ashley, fuck the PL, fuck the media, the pundits and other clubs that dont want us to succeed. I'm sick of our fanbase being ripped apart. This is our club and for too long we are fighting ourselves not the cunts making this shit for us all. We need to stick together and stick two fingers up.

Doubt much changes for anyone while Ashley is in charge. Those that sworn off will stay that way and those that still turn up will still turn up (when fans are allowed back). If the club changes hands I think less people will come back than were prepared to up until today. People are jaded and untrusting, if someone takes over that isn't completely loaded, even then I think there will be a hesitancy and a period of mistrust before everyone that left considers coming back.

Contemplating the same request tbh. Not sure why I'm refreshing pages, it's not like the takeover is happening. Glutton for punishment. Tbh I’ve found reading the anger and frustration from everyone else quite helpful. I’m not alone I’m feeling totally helpless and done with the club. We will all be back as much as we might even try to leave. Might just be until 2026 when ashley finally sells us as a non league club that the hope is enough for us to return.

On the upside in an alternate reality somewhere it went through and we just signed an uninjured mbappe.

Infinitely worse. We have a shite manager that always does best in his first season. Likeable and promising players that will likely walk and an owner happy to cash in. A broken and starved of hope fanbase given reasons to dream for the first time in 13 years only to seemingly have the rug pulled again. People were already walking away in droves. Lest we forget the incoming inevitable piss taken out of us by every other set of fans and pundits like richard keys and Edward's that will ram the I told you so's down our throats and more so how we are in a great position with a great coach. "Steve bruce deserves this and another season". This wasn't just hope and while nothing is guaranteed this was as close to guaranteeing seeing some silverware and competing at the top of the table as we could have hoped for. Investment in the club, facilities the community and area. It was a beacon of hope at the darkest of times and its gone. There wont me another that comes close to what this ownership could have done. Not close. On paper we are no different to february but devastating doesnt even cover it.

Limited fans next season. Hardly fair on other league one teams. Sunderland have a clear and unfair advantage on the rest of the league through experience and comfort playing to limited fans.

Newcastle: Given, Solano, Taylor, Ramage, Huntington, Milner, Dyer, Butt, Pattison (O'Brien 57), Sibierski (Carroll 80), Martins. Subs Not Used: Harper, Edgar, LuaLua. Sent Off: Taylor (58). True shocker for everyone that day.
-
To be fair to him I don't remember anyone hyping him up at any point of his career, certainly not himself. Filled a hole when we were too cheap to fill it and always gave his best. He wasn't hyped like Remi Streete, Huntington and others. Contributed more in the end though. Found his level in the Championship. Journeyman that knew his role. Coaching, who knows. I have seen his name pop up over the past couple of years, which I was surprised about so he is doing something right. Could just be speaking shite and blowing smoke up people arses but if so he will fit in with this club perfectly.

I like Ramage but not sure I am into the appointment. Agree on the whiff of jobs for the boys.

One can hope. Honestly can't believe they don't have a clear plan of ownership and structure in place. These aren't Mike Ashley chancers. It is all fucked. On the upside. Looks like we will all have more time on my hands if/when its rejected. Fuck the premier league. I am done with it. (to be edited later to I LOVE the premier league and can't wait for the new season, if they pass it).

Not bothered how Sports Direct have milked the club for years, free advertising at the detriment to the club, benefiting an external party. Nope, couldn't give a flying fuck. Exactly. Also in regards to Edwards updates I find it hard to believe that the prospective owners don't have legal teams, advisors and all the bells and whistles that would be way ahead of things like "not having a clear organization structure''. complete bollocks and still nobody has a clue imo.

Another amazing stat. How do we fare on overall goals scored though. Can see it being spun that Bruce has created a much better contributing team..how amazing we have stayed up and Bruce has done the job he has with his strikers letting him down. Or is that the wrong way round too?

Lawsuit incoming I reckon. Happy with Watford down at least. Would take Sarr and Hughes.

I do but in the same way as Brentford. They had it in their hands but blew it. They didn't turn up in the games before today enough.
