Still exactly the same imo. The longer they wait the more thorough the PL looks and the less people will care when its announced. Is it agonizing, frustrating, infuriating? It is, but if the the buyers side arent worried I am not. The only people worried are those the press have led on a merry dance to sell papers and cause controversy. If I hear people like George Caulkin being worried then I will get the sphincter jiggles. It's just a case of sit tight and get on with it.

Because of the backlash and possible legaL threats they will face. I don't think they give the slightest fuck about 'backlash' to be honest. To them, the league is a commodity to be sold, a substantial investment in that outweighs everything. They've proven that on multiple occasions. Possible legal threats they will face? They will face worse if they turn it down imo.

Do people against the deal just expect the PL to wait week by week for new information to be uncovered that can be presented to them. I don't get it. They do their own background checks they don't put it out there for anyone to throw their 2 cents in. If there is nothing to stop it they can't just tell the prospective owners "just wait another week or month. We want to see if something new pops up". Is it not simply based on facts of the time of the application? Thats like Norwich requesting the league wait and let them play another couple of games to see if they can win a couple of friendlies and count that towards survival. All kinds of legal problems if the string it out in the hopes of something new popping up. There has to be a window of common sense and legality.

But it's been signed off unofficially. It is a story for the grand kids. "Let me tell you a story..There was a time long ago, unprecedented, where your grandpa had to stay at home for nearly three months, isolated, alone with just the computer for company. I lost much" "The lockdown period, grandpa? we learned about that at.." "Lockdown, what lockdown? It was the great Newcastle Takeover lad. I never left the computer. See this draw, went through a pile of F5 keys. Don't know anything about a lockdown."

Definite quandary for me. I love Rafa and I feel like a cheating lover but I can't help but lust after the type of football we would get under Poch. I think he would inspire and unite the fanbase again possibly even more than Rafa, which feels weird to say. On the flip side I see this as Rafa's swansong rather than Poch's stepping stone to Madrid or elsewhere. Rafa knows the club, area and is a dreamboat. It's unfinished business in this league, the title he doesn't have and you know he will do everything for our club. Either way, what a position we could potentially be in to consider either and managers of this pedigree.

Alphonso Davies. He wont leave Bayern yet but that would be an amazing move. He is incredible and would absolutely fit Newcastle like a glove.

Absolutely no point keeping Bruce for any amount of time. Prolonging just means slower progress with the new manager. As much as people could argue they might upset few Bruce supporters by binning him they would upset a shit load more fans if they dont. They don't need to pander to the press or crusty pros. Its business if they want a successful club Bruce should have no part in it as a manager or anything around that.

This is what matter. In assumption Staveley wants Rafa. The Reubens through their son Jamie wants Poch. The Saudis want Allegeri. You know it's coming, after a week of abuse when the takeover is official. "Toon-Army: Owners go to war." Battle lines have been drawn as new turmoil hits disaster club Newcastle. In an exclusive, the Mirror understands that the three new ownership parties are unable to agree on who they want to take the hot seat in one of football's most thankless positions. The one thing they can agree on is ripping away the "job of a lifetime" for lifelong toon fan Steve Bruce. Classy Bruce declined to comment but many top names across the game have thrown their support behind the former Manchester United legend and branded his treatment "an absolute disgrace." Speaking exclusively to Mirror readers, Paul Parker is one of many sending a message to the magpies new owners. "It's not surprising in a game now dictated by who has the most money but Steve obviously deserves better. He deserves a chance." Former Newcastle idol Kevin Nolan added "He is popular up there and people love him, Stevie didnt get given any resources yet look at the job he has done up there with nothing. You would think they (new owners) would want someone that knows the club and area." Follow us tomorrow for an exclusive sit down interview with former executive director of football Dennis Wise about what the new owners need to do to succeed at Newcastle.

I know the transport links are simple now but I would be disappointed in the least if our manager didnt live in or around Newcastle. I guess it's not the be all end all though.

One can only hope. There is literally no reason to keep Bruce on. To find favour with his press/pundit buddies? Does that matter? Will they really care? There is more damage to be done keeping Bruce on when they are going to bin him anyway. Get the new manager in and give him more time. If they don't think the manager they want to bring in could safely navigate the rest of this season with where we are at then he probably isn't the right manager to bring in.
