  1. Better if the person doing the sound hits the boo button lol
  2. How can VAR even argue that! Complete bollocks dropped. Shame that could hugely impact their Europe push. It is naff but i actually don't mind the crowd noise. Villa nearly throw the game!
  3. "Try to live a normal life, try to live a normal life.." *Steps out of his house, drives to work*... "where is everyone?" The best thing to do its to try and ignore it as you say. It is more irritating now than a month or two ago but I am past the excitement and non stop page refresh stage. It is likely the only thing interesting for some people during this pandemic though. Seeing as we aren't in the positive thread, maybe the PL will just wait until we lose a few games and are hovering above relegation. Then they will announce its rejected. A jolly thought. Still think it is all good though. Just no idea when they will announce it. Logic is out of the window at this point. I haven't wavered from thinking this will get approved though. PL still just trying to save face and look the best they can before approving it.
  4. Spin by the BBC I think. From what's been reported it looks like no-one involved in the takeover is directly linked or named. The obvious result as requested in the report is for Saudi Arabia to buckle down on piracy which is as easy as them committing to the PL likely followed by bidding for premier league rights. This is an easy hurdle to overcome than the moral issues. There wont be any way to really address the latter either. All in all this should move forward now. I do think we will be waiting another week or two to let the report settle and premier league games to resume. Hopefully not.
  5. Don’t think so no. http://www.andre-champagne.com
  6. I'd actually be surprised if there wasnt just a generic template each club was given that was developed by the PL for consistency. That way at least if clubs put in bare minimum it looks fine. Would be ace if they unveiled the takeover via the tarp or during the pre game.
  7. So each club has tailored the covered stands part to their liking. I fully expect we will have white sheets sewn together. Either way I am sure we will look at the other clubs innovation while we look like a sack of bare minimum effort shit.
  8. Still would be floored if they rejected the bid but on the verge of creating more flapping I don't see it happening next week with the WTO coming out. It could ramble on for another few weeks at least as they will want to let that sit and the press and detractors will have another field day saying why it shouldn't happen. Just can't see it getting confirmed the same week a "supposedly damning" report comes out. It has become such a farce though, especially if the PL had access to these reports already....unless the report actually doesn't confirm anything and they are waiting for it to be release to back up their rationale for passing it? I still believe the fact it has been dragged out is for the PL to save face showing how stringently and seriously they took allegations and looked into this before they wave it through.
  9. It is for the PL. That is all they care about. Dragging this out so they look like they have tried to cover all bases and save face to those against the take over, before they approve it.
  10. Fair enough I am happy to hold my hands up and say I have dropped a clanger of words there. It was an impatient hissy fit of post. Fueled by a rude early Canadian morning wake up by kids, subsequent newsnow failure to herald positive takeover news, compounded by the realization that Bruce et al. will be here causing at least 3 more months damage that could have been progress. I know it was reported from the start he would get the rest of the season but we have seen a window for change diminish week by week. Obviously after 13 years another 3 months is bearable for long term gain. I got up and put my big boy pants back on and am calmer. Thank you for a N.O. reality slap.
  11. I thought they were sneaking into playoffs on PPG. Most excellent. Looks like the majority of clubs will vote leaving them in league one again.
  12. The most unacceptable part of this wait for approval is the almost certain confirmation of Bruce as manager until season end. That is almost as damaging as the ownership test being failed. A few weeks back I was confident they could and should just dump him but now even if it goes through tomorrow it is likely too late to change.
  13. Such an exhausting process. Still dont see anything new other than PR propaganda from the PL. Considering considering considering.. the longer we draw it out the more care we have taken.. sorry we tried. Any kind or shit they are perceived to be getting to block the deal pails in comparison to what will come of they do.
  14. That’s how I remember it - looked no better than Manquillo or Yedlin or Krafth as right wing back, but was quite sharp when pushed further forward. He is a winger that has played at fullback so thats not a surprise. He definitely showed some flashes of great technique and a soccer IQ in his appearances but was by no means mind blowing. Glad we are keeping him on though.
  15. It's getting about more than just fans unrest. No way we lose Matty had this already gone through. Players are in limbo and there is uncertainty with players and coaches. It will likely be an excuse for terrible performances coming up.
  16. Always thought it would take a miracle to get him here.
  17. Be absolutely gutted to see this go through. Hope he waits it out until the takeover is done. Can't blame him for sorting himself out first. Like we couldn't do better the 15k. What an absolute disaster our club is. You would think Mike would give him a new 30k contract and then sell him for millions.
  18. They are delaying until they break our celebratory reactions to this going through.
  19. He would be stretchered off after 5 mins. No way he has the cardio for officiating lol. You’d assume we wouldn’t be allowed to play these smaller lower league teams that don’t qualify for testing... Isn't another way we can play a friendly under that 90 minute drive restriction. I assume Middlesborough would work though?
  20. Friendlies to prep for season return allowed, but only with clubs within 90 minute drive. North East Derbies it is then. Oh coaches have to referee too. Love to see Newcastle vs Sunderland with Bruces refereeing.
  21. Zinedine escaped, Messi looks likely to as well. Who else through the premiership years got away that you would have liked to have seen play their trade in the PL. *As per Mikes Kind request: Not only who, but where would they have been the best fit?* I remember Batistuta getting linked back in the day. Would have loved him. Likewise Matthäus.
